Description of Work: Treated roof for moss and cleaned it. Roof looks good now but it is a very messy process and how that could be improved I don't know. Everything is washed into the gutters and onto to ground, hopefully the gutters are not loaded with debris time will tell on that. Left windows by roof by dirty I called he came over a week later and cleaned it.

Description of Work: Replaced 8 vents. They had rubber gaskets that were cracked and leaking so they replaced them with lead ones. Also cleaned roof and gutters.

Description of Work: Pacific West replaced a flashing and a skylight that had been leaking. The job went well overall. They showed up on time and worked quickly. I had to clean up a little underneath the new skylight, but it was very minor. | |A few weeks prior to the job, they came out to do an estimate. Very professional. They took several pictures of the leaky roof area and the back of the ceiling drywall that was affected. The rep clearly explained what he thought the problem was and options for fixing. Their price was similar to the 2 other estimates I received. | |The only minor issue I had with them was the communication. I preferred contact via email, and a couple times I had to follow up with a phone call due to no response to my message. But otherwise I was very happy with the entire process.

Description of Work: Rip off old shake roof, resheet with plywood and shingle with Presidential TL. |They were on time, worked hard and finished on schedule. |They were the highest bidder! Having worked as an estimator in construction, I requested that they substantiate the extra expense. Matt was ok with this and sat down with numbers and explanations ( by the way, he likes Coke Zero). My only complaint was that they had plywood sheeting stacked on my lawn for about a month which destroyed the lawn in that area, I did point this out to Matt and was a bit surprised that he did not follow up on it, this is why I degraded my rating as to responsiveness to a B. Other than that, I would definitely hire them again and have recommended them to another contractor who does work for me.

Description of Work: Pacific West did a tear-off of the existing 35 year old tile roof and a replacement with 40 yr composition. They re-sheathed and provided ridge and eave vents as well as tie offs for future maintenance. They were well organized, prompt, neat and cleaned up the job site every day. They protected our new decks & railings from damage and even did a minor repair without charging us. Our project manager Matt Krill, communicated with us completely and either answered immediately or returned every call within a few hours. This was one of the most pleasant contracting experiences we have ever had.

Description of Work: I discovered a leak from the roof coming through the window sill. Kenny Courtney came by, examined the roof, found not visible point of entry for the water, thus advised that Jose come by the next day and remove up to 125 sq ft of roof tiles to find the source. Jose showed up as promised, promptly. He did not have to remove many to find the source of the leak, nails that had been used to tack down the roof tiles but had missed the tiles. thus, over time, water leaked through. A new membrane was put on, new tiles matching the old ones were put down, and the problem was fixed promptly and to my satisfaction.

Description of Work: I had a problem with leaking from my chimney area and an idea for a corrugated roof in a corner of the property and called them for an estimate. Aldon was great...he spent a long time with me and determined that 1) the corrugated roof could be done by a handyman at a far cheaper cost (and he gave me a reference ) and 2) my chimney needed to be sealed (and gave me a reference). I appreciated his time and his honesty. I REALLY wished I had used them for roofing.

Description of Work: Contract was for roof tune-up and leak repair. Twice we were told the leak was fixed and it was not. The leak needed to be repaired before interior repairs caused by water damage could start. Numerous bundles of shakes and ridges were installed, however many bad shakes should have been replaced. Unfortunately, the roof was 20 years old and not in good shape. We decided to have the house completely re-roofed and request numerous bids. This companies bid was hiher than all and we chose another company. The company and I satisfactorily negotiated the price for work done.

Description of Work: They came out quickly to find out why my roof was leaking for no charge, whereas all the other roofers, including those on Angie's list, required a payment of at least 190.00 just to come out. We solved the problem with no need for repairs. They were honest and gave me an estimate for re-doing my flashing, as it is done wrong.
