They also gave the exterior a quick wash, that was nice. Overall, it was a good experience. The truck cost extra, because its a pickup truck, which did surprise me because I would have thought the interior was about the same as a mid to large size sedan. When the work was complete, the topside of the dash still had a lot of dust on it, as if it had never been wiped. When I brought this to the attention of Ace, they claimed they had already cleaned it once, and that the dust was from the a/c blower. It was difficult for me to believe this, but they did clean it so no worries. There was also a lot of pet hair in this truck, and they did get a lot of it out, and I was very happy with their effort in this regard. I'm guessing that was their focus while doing this job.

I would still like use this service. Since the deal has expired I would need to pay extra on top of what I have already paid. The problem is that the times and locations are not very convenient. There is a location in Beaverton that is open on Saturday, but the East Side location is only open M-F. I have not found a time to leave my car for a whole day at either of these locaations.

Ace Car Reconditioning did a beautiful job!! My car no longer looks 9 years old and you can't even tell where the leather was damaged. This is the second time I have used Ace and I highly recommend them. In addition to excellent work, their customer service is top notch. Edgar was a pleasure to work with.

The service went fine. We used the company twice. I paid an additional fee to have them detail a second car. They worked on a Sedan and a SVU. We dropped the cars off at their shop. They completed the job in a day. They did a good job. I had no difficulties scheduling the deal.

I punched that for my sister. They did a really nice job. She did noticed they waxed the car and there was some residue. She had to wipe that off herself, but all in all, they do a nice job. The car was dark in color so they charged her extra for that. Her headlight was cloudy and they charged her extra for that as well. It was an extra $50.00. I have used them once before and that is why I got this deal for my sister. They did a good job on my car too. They are very nice guys. They are good with their customer service. They enjoy making a car look good; they have good attitude.

They had to send away for the fog lamp. Found one for a lot less than buying a new one. When it finally arrived some part was missing and we had to wait for that to come in. Took about 2 weeks. The paint job was PERFECT. The paint matching is not visible. VERY satisfied with the job.

Poor communication on scheduling. Lacked understanding of what coupon included. Did an awful job and would never use and/or recommend.

I've used this company before and find them to do good work for a reasonable price. Both exterior and interior details were to my satisfaction with one exception. They overlooked the "touch up" paint on a few small spots. When I called to ask about it they immediately offered to do this little detail at my convenience. I like this place.

I dropped the car off at 7:30 am. During the car inspection, the detailer quoted a price higher than listed on the website. (I somehow missed the Angie’s list coupon during my research.) When I questioned the increase, it was explained away as a result of the Prius being Black and having large windows...but, the vehicle would look "Showroom New" by 4:30 pm. I explained for that kind of money it should. We closed the deal and I returned at 5:15 to find the detail crew rapidly wiping wax on the car. It was my understanding they were going to buff the vehicle...but I waited patiently. On the surface, the car looked good. But once you looked past the 'car wash' and 'carpet cleaning' (Note: I use weather guard mats, so the carpets we not very dirty.) the car looked like a trainee was turned loose on it. Here are my main issues: - Driving home, the windshield was covered in smeared wipe marks that made driving into the sun rough. - Rolling the windows down reveals a large dirt ring around the outside of the glass. - The dash was covered in lint. - The Digital Monitor screen was dirtier than when I brought it in...it had been sprayed with cleaner, but never wiped down. - They had cleaned some pine needles away from the edges of the hood, but the engine compartment itself still had pine needles and road grime...no wipe down occurred. - Two of the little cloth inserts inside the door handles were vacuumed away. - The leather seats may have been vacuumed, but no conditioner or cleaning occurred. Overall, it appeared I was the first car in the shop that morning, but, my car was put off until the last moment and ended up being a rush job. I have called back, but I was unable to reach anybody and they have not returned my call. If there is any follow-up, I will provide an update. Steve Update: The shop never returned my call. I called back a second time and spoke with the person who received my car. He was apologetic and offered to re-clean my car. For $300 and with the promises made, that is not good enough. I would rather fix the issues myself rather than take it back. I gave them an opportunity to fix the vehicle if they returned a portion of my payment…still placing the cost of my job well above the $99 coupon they are currently running. I have not heard back.

They did a good job with the detailing service. The car came out clean, smelling new.

They got some dents out that I thought required full body work

Delievered car 8:00AM, was informed car would be ready by 5:00PM. Negotiated extra work beyond Angies $99 deal of outside or inside detail cleanup; $99(exterior detail) + $25(buff exterior scratches(2)) + $75(interior detail, two seater car). Asked if convertible top could be cleaned, shop person Jeff stated they did not work on convertible tops. Explicitly stated how to correctly operate (up/down) convertible top such that top was not stretched incorrectly over the frame; it's a 9 year old convertible. Received call ~4:15 stating car was ready. Arrived at 5:00PM to find convertible top incorrectly raised, fabric was stretched (near tearing) such that closing the locking latch from inside was VERY difficult as in my wife could not move the convertible release lever, I had to..strength issue. Shop should understand that if your are forcing closure, then something is not right! Car was dusted with tire rubber and fragments from the shop next door, water spots on the trunk lid, road tar on 3 of 4 wheels; car needed to be washed again. To the shops credit, Jeff looked at the car and said leave it over night and we will make things right; car will be ready at noon the next day (Friday 8/15). I was very uncomfortable about leaving the car for security reasons. Received a call @ 10:00AM stating car would be ready at noon. We arrive @ noon to find the car washed with road tar drops still on 3 of 4 wheels, no evidence of scratches buffed, water spots and a marginal wash job. Wax job was as good as what can be done at home; appears the wax was not carnuba nor rotory buffed as most detail shops would do. As this point all I wanted to do was get out of this hack shop. When paying the bill I was informed the total price had increased by $47 dollars. I reminded Jeff of the price negotiations we had agreed on. He recanted and dropped the extra $47 charge. Jeff apologized for the delay on having the car ready and mentioned they applied a dressing to the convertible top; before the job started Jeff claimed they did not work on convertible tops? My wife takes down the convertible top and drives home, the next day we find the convertible top is broken such that it will not return to the closed position...coincidence, all we know is the convertible top was working before and after the shop visit it is broken. So all in all: Inside detail work was reasonable, sans residual dashboard cleaner left at base of windshield. Inside carpet cleaned/vaccumed nicely, as were the front and rear trunks. Exterior work was comparable with a wash/wax at home job, not what one pays a detail shop to do; road tar still on the wheels. Business environment was shabby. Would not recommend this shop to anyone!

They were very polite when I told them I couldn’t drive that far to have the services done and they were also very prompt at responding to my emails.

The service went okay. I took my 1997 Nissan into them for the detailing. They detailed only the interior of the car. The staff did a pretty good job but I thought they could have cleaned a little better. There was still stuff between the seats. I had no problem making an appointment to get the car into them.

They did an excellent job. Just be aware that if you have an SUV, even if it's small, there will be an extra charge. This was not very evident when I bought the service.

There was good and bad parts. But the bad outweighed the good a lot. 95% of the car turned out really clean and they did a thorough job. A few small pieces were missing like a cargo net. They damaged one of my leather seats. They used a buffer and made part of the seats nice and other it created wear marks on it. They did an engine clean and the air intake filter was crushed and melted. He said that could happen if the car gets hot. I ended up having engine problems. I talked to friends who know about engines, they said they would have covered the air filter when cleaning the engine and when they try to restart the car it would have crushed the air filter. We had an appointment at 9 am and Google took me the wrong location and I called them to get directions. I got there 10 minutes later and they didn't know if they could get me it in. I drove 45 minutes to get there. I came back 4 hours later and they still didn't get to it. I complained and the service manager offered a free engine clean which led to engine problems down the road.

Charged extra for an SUV and for pet hair, but the car looked almost spotless afterwards.

This was fine! It was a good little outfit! The gentleman I worked with was quite helpful and courteous. I took my vehicle to them and they did a good job on the detailing. However, they could have done more on the touch-up but there could have been a lack of clarity on what this meant.

It went really well. There was an additional $25. They did good work. They seem to be pretty thorough, prompt and on time. They seem to be knowledgeable on what they were doing. You would only know their quality after a period of time to some extent. I don’t see any reason why it will not work. They were quite professional. They got here on time.

Excellent job. The car was spotless but they did forget to clean the inside windows.

The deal listed a Portland location. Ace Car Reconditioning told me that location is closed and I would have to go to a location far from my house. I told them I wanted a refund. They told me to contact Groupon. They didn't even realize this was through Angie's List. They still list the Portland address on their website, so I told them they should update their information, but they didn't care.

They did a great job and kept us informed. The final product was really great.

They did a very nice job. B+ overall. I also had them do the engine and exterior detailing as well. I think the price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of their work. It was somewhat difficult having to go through their central office to reach the right person. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.
