Description of Work: The Angie's Big Deal offer was confusing because the promo spoke of dents and creases, but the fine print said no creases. I emailed the Ace but I did not receive a reply defining what was considered a dent vs. a crease. Since time was running out, I purchased the Big Deal and made an appointment. When I took my car in, I was informed that my dent was, in fact, considered a crease but Ace would attempt to repair it anyway, at an extra charge. I was informed that they would need my car for 6 hours, so I went off to hang out at the Tigard Public Library for the day. I was sitting in front, waiting for the library to open, when Edgar appeared to tell me that his technician had a family emergency and would not be coming to work that day. We rescheduled the appointment; I again spent the day at the library while Ace had my car. The two creases that someone had put in the side of my car by banging their car door against mine were virtually invisible. Despite the rough start to the Big Deal, the work was excellent.

Description of Work: I purchased the "Car Exterior Air Brush Paint Touch-up and/or Paintless Dent Removal" from an Angie's List e-mail. The company quickly scheduled my service and I took my car in to the Tigard location be "touched-up". What a mistake! My 1 yr. old child could have done a better job. When I dropped off my car, it had a few minor scratches that I wanted fixed. When I picked it up, the scratches were still there but, they were covered in globs of what looked like touch up paint. It was very bad - and to top it off, the paint didn't even match the original color. I told the person/manager that I thought it was a horrible job and that I was extremely unhappy. After saying that this is what paintless touch up looks like 5 or 6 times and trying to convince me that he mixed the paint correctly, the best he could do was tell me that he would ask the owner what could be done. He called me 1/2 hour later and said that they would give me an exterior detail for 1/2 price. What?? I called the owner Eric myself and asked him to look at the car and tell me if that was typical of the work they do. He agreed and I took it in to the Beaverton location the next day. He agreed that the paint did not match. He agreed to remove all of the touch up paint and restore my car to the pre-touch up condition it was in. He also agreed to give me an exterior detail for the price I already paid Angie's List. The detail was great, they did a good job of removing the touch-up paint and the car really shined afterwards. However - I now have a shiny car with the original scratches still in place. Guess I will have to get them fixed at a real body shop. Bottom line - they are good at washing and detailing cars but DO NOT let them do anything with touch up paint! I have pics of the terrible job they did, I will have to upload them so you can judge for yourself.

Description of Work: Rear bumper had scuff marks, dings, scratches. Was told prior to leaving the car that the scratches "under the plastic" could not be touched up with paint...the bumper would look better, but not "like new". Car was ready when promised, the touched up areas looked great, and they had prepared an estimate for additional work. Everyone was friendly, professional, and I would use them again.

Description of Work: Wanted to repair two scratches on my Ford Sedan. One on the rear back door and the other on the back bumper. When I picked up my car you could still see the scratches. I was told before that they could fix.it This will really make it hard to trust Angies list vouchers

Description of Work: I have been using Ace detailing for 4 years for both of my cars a couple times per year. I arrived for a scheduled appointment at 7:30 this morning and had an unfortunate experience. The person on duty was not expecting me and acted put out to have to be helping me. He asked me what I was quoted or what I was previously charged. He then quoted me $200, which was about $40 over the previous charge. He also told me I would have to wait until 8 to get a ride to work. I could not wait, so I left. The owner, Eric, called me soon after. He reiterated their policy of not providing shuttle service until 8 and no other apology was forthcoming. I was disappointed that the customer service has declined since change of ownership from Robert Keppel. I will find another detailer.

Description of Work: I have a 1977 Mercedes 280 SE that I wanted to get ready to sell. Robert came out and did a complete detail of the car. The car had very dull paint and mildly dirty leather. Robert arrived at exactly 9am, as he said he would, and began the work. He worked for 5 hours, non-stop, and the car is absolutely beautiful. I'm thinking of NOT selling it now. He didn't miss a spot. The entire car shines like a new penny!

Description of Work: Robert detailed my car in and out. He arrived on time and stayed until the job was done.
