It went extremely well. He did top quality work. He was efficient and cleaned up well. He did everything to our specification and was reasonably priced. I would use them again and recommend their service.

At first contact they told me that they were booked up this fall. They recommended Fitzpatrick painting graciously.

We are so happy with the work Sam and his crew did. Sam is very professional and his attention to detail is what got me to accept his bid. His crew has the same attention to detail and they did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. The job was done faster than I expected and even though they got rained out one day they were back the next morning to finish up. Great. Sam was very professional and helped to explain the process throughout. We are so pleased with the results of he and his team's work. Would definitely refer Sam's Painting to others. They worked quickly and efficiently. He laid a new coat on our Hardy Plank siding and caulked the exposed joints. No lawn damage and they took good care of our plants. Very pleased all around.

From the minute Sam showed up to look at our house and provide his estimate, we knew we had found the right guy. His work was thorough, efficient, and detailed. Sam takes a lot of pride in his work and his team. He communicated with us at every step of the process and was an absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I were very happy with the job he did and will definitely use him for all of our renovation and painting needs in the future.

When we decided to have our house painted, we got three bids from Angie?s list and all three were professional in their bidding process. Sam of Sam?s Painting was the highest bid but was also the most impressive in presenting his bid and telling us what his painting process included. Sam did everything he promised in the bid and then some. This was definitely a case where taking the highest bid gave us the most value for our dollar. Sam and his small team were extremely courteous and professional from start to finish. Watching them work, it was obvious they knew what they were doing and the high quality showed in the final product. We couldn?t be happier with our new painted house.

The job was excellently done, with attention to detail, very professional. We couldn't be more pleased. Our house looks amazing!

All painting was completed as expected. We got a pass from our insurance provider on the work.

He did the painting this summer, and he fixed the ceiling yesterday. He was reasonably priced. We always have him lined up for some work. We have nothing but good to say about Sam, he is who we call when we have a problem.

We had to cancel at this time because somethng else came up. So we didn't have the contractor paint at this time.

When Sam came to give an estimate and realized it was the Angie's List offer, he was unhappy. I'll paraphrase his remark. "This shouldn't have happened. This is my busy season. I should call and cancel the offer for now and reschedule it." He gave us his full estimate which was more than double the offer price. However we knew the offer would not cover the whole price. He lectured to my wife and me rather than asked what we, the customers, wanted. Although he appeared competent, it was not a good experience and we are requesting a full refund of our money.

We could not asked for a better job!!!!f Sam was professional, and had an attention to detail that made sure everything was done to ours and his high expectations. It was clear that Sam knew what he was doing. They started out taking off the old dry rotted trim around the 4 windows. The trim was a special brick mold and they made sure they had the correct one. After installing the new trim, Sam and his crew went around and caulked all seams, edges etc. so that no water would enter the house with the pressure washing and would last with the length of the paint. Once the pressure washing was dry, Sam and his crew covered everything to get ready for painting. Due to Sam taking the time to do a great job prepping the house, the painting went smoothly and professionally. Throughout the process Sam and his crew kept everything neat and clean. Sam finished the job as quoted and within timeframes and exceeded our expectations. I will definitely use Sam again and will not hesitate recommending Sam to anyone needing a professional paint job and if you have some minor repairs to be made; Sam and his crew can do it..

Wasn't available to provide service until late fall or 2015. We went with another house painter instead.

Sam is great! We took posession of our new 1910 house and discovered it needed paint due to some walls in bad condition. Sam responded immediately and provided an estimate. He was able to fit us in within a few days. He and his assistant were personable, professional, and attentive to every detail. The paint looks GREAT! We're excited to settle in to our home thanks in large part to Sam.

They also fixed a bunch of rot in our deck out back. I am pleased with the quality of work.

Sam did a beautiful, precise job of painting our house. He and his assistant worked fast and clean. They covered our flower beds and brick walks and moved and protected all our outside furniture. Sam managed to get a very clean line where paint colors met. He was very skilled, personable, and knowledgeable about his craft. We were comfortable with their integrity and left the house most of the time they worked. Price-wise, I think it might have been a little high when all the extra charges were added in, particularly because his Angie's offer included doing one door and the garage doors, which I didn't require--no deduction for that. He charged extra for doing the Victorian trim (also had to take it down and put it back) and the third color (I think about $250 extra for each extra--not sure). But he did such an excellent job that I was glad to pay it. I originally painted the Vic trim, and I'm not sure I'd do it again, at any price. GREAT job. I'm happy. He was excellent and he was very polite. He's helpful, he was here when he said he was here and he cleaned up nicely.

It went excellently! Sam is easy to work with, does what he says he will and also is punctual. The work site was cleaned up afterward. A couple comments about costs. We bought the package deal for $1599 in the fall of 2013. The weather and schedules never worked out so Sam came back in the spring. The pressure washing was not included in the package, nor was the cost of the paint. We also asked Sam to do additional repairs (like fixing dry rotted window frames) and knew that would be extra. So we paid $1800 more than the package, but that was completely fair and agreed to. I had gotten other estimates for painting and Sam's was least cost over all. ( I figure all told, we probably saved about $1000). The work was really good and the house looks much better. One of the things I really, really liked about working with Sam is that he understood what we wanted to be done. As a practical matter, to make this house look REALLY good, we should have replaced our siding. Sam understood we wanted the existing siding to look as good as it could and he made that happen. New siding wasn't in our budget at this time. I appreciate that Sam 'got' that and did a great job with the limitations. As a side note, we have four dogs. Sam was really good about letting us know where he would be working and when the gate to the yard was open. I appreciated that he made the project as easy on us as he could.

The project went very well. The house looks very good.

Undecided if we will use Sam's Painting |We called when we saw the special to have house painted for $1695.00. Sam told my husband he didn't have running at that time and didn't know what he was referring to. He said he'd come by to give us a quote. I think that was 3 or 4 weeks ago and we'd heard nothing from him until today. He stopped by and gave us quote of $3800.00 but said nothing about the special we had inquired about. |My question is when did his special expire? |This is the first time we've dealt with anyone on Angie's list and I guess I'm not sure how things work.

After I contacted Sam and got an estimate for the job, it rained heavily for two weeks. In the meantime, Sam came to my house and pressure washed it. As soon as the weather improved, Sam called and scheduled my paint job. He arrived when he said he would, went straight to work, worked through his lunch hour, and into the late afternoon to finish the main part of the job. The next day, he arrived exactly when he said he would, and painted the trim. I probably could have gotten the job done for less, but I wanted the house painted properly and Sam certainly did that. He was meticulous about small details that other painters probably would have overlooked, and the trim lines of dark paint against light paint, looked like they were done with a ruler. There was no paint to be seen anywhere I didn't want it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and was completely satisfied. When the time comes to have the house painted again, I'll have Sam do it.

Thank you Angie's List. We'd never have known about Sam and his crew without you. We couldn't be more pleased. How we appreciated "old-fashioned" values and commitment. When they met an unexpected hitch, (originally the wrong calking was used) they took care of the problem on their own time and expense. We offered to pay for the extra time and materials, but Sam refused. We will be calling Sam next summer to paint our house.

Contacted Sam and asked if he could provide us with an estimate to repaint the exterior of the house we are repairing for our father in law. I was impressed that Sam was able to come out within a few hours to give us our estimate. He walked around and visually inspected the house. I mentioned that I wanted three colors on the house; one for the trim, a second color on the gables and shutters and the third color on the siding. He said that it would be more expensive to have three colors, he seemed to want me to just have two colors and to pull off the shutters of the house ourselves as if he did it and they broke during the process then he would feel responsible for repairing/replacing them. I was supposed to have the new gutters installed on the home in the next day or so, Sam asked that I postpone it because it would be easier for him to paint with them off. He gave me a business card and wrote an estimate of $3500.00 on the back of it for a two-color exterior. My husband thought that was a bit high and he also didn't want me to postpone having the new gutters installed. Sam called us back a few hours later and told us he would go ahead and do a three-color exterior for the $3500. I liked Sam, he appeared to be a friendly and approachable businessman and I would recommend giving him a call. He was the highest of the estimates that I got, the other companies I contacted didn't require that I pull my own shutters and didn't charge us more for having the gutters on the home. Unfortunately my husband and I are having to paint the home ourselves due to the fact that my elderly father in law did not want to spend any money on the paint (my husband and I just paid $16k to have the roof repaired/replaced) so that leaves us to do the work. Give Sam a call, I do recommend him.

Sam was extremely attentive to details. Carefully moved lawn furniture and potted plants. Covered all shrubs, patios, walkways and driveway. Was personable and professional. Would definitely hire him again!
