Excellent! From the initial proposal, to completion, Sam and team were professionals. Very impressed with quality of work and preparation of my home for painting. When completed, Sam ensured the total cleaning of the work area and repositioning of all furniture. Appreciated timely completion of the job. Great person to work with.

Sam just painted our house in S. Salem. He and his team did a WONDERFUL job. We are beyond pleased with the workmanship, the entire process, and the final outcome. We would recommend Sam’s painting and remodel to anyone!! We have a very large house, 12 years old, and has not been painted since it was built. Sam and his team did all the prep, minor repairs, and paid extreme attention to detail. They delivered as promised and were clean, neat, and organized throughout the job.

Sam and Steve arrived promptly when they said they would, and worked continuously until the job was done. They seemed skilled at their craft, and we are pleased with the results. Our house looks so much better than it did before. I was especially pleased that they were able to fix small areas of dry rot without any delay or much additional cost. I would recommend them to others.

Sam and his crew did an excellent job prepping and painting the exterior of our home. He was very personable and communicative, and took the time to explain the details behind the work that needed to be performed and how much it would cost. And then he followed through on time, with great attention to detail and quality. Every aspect -- prep work, painting, cleanup -- was completed promptly and in a professional manner. Our house looks amazing! I plan to call on Sam for any and all future painting needs.

Sam fit us in during a busy season of painting. He and his team did beautiful work repainting all of our walls and much of our trim. We were so happy with their work that we've requested they come back for some additional work in their slower season, and they will be doing that. They are always willing to help and do amazing work, I would never consider having anyone else do painting for us. They are perfectionists which I appreciate. They also worked very hard to fit in my daughter and son in law's home that they had just purchased also in the busy season, and did an equally amazing job for them. We've had many painters over the years but no one that has matched the skill, honesty, and pride in their work as these painters.

Sam and his helper were simply awesome. He was prompt, did excellent prep work, was communicative and very friendly. My house looks amazing!!!! He cleaned up well after the work was completed and any future painting needs will most definitely go to him and his business.

Sam was prompt, fair and friendly throughout the process. The job was done professionally and completed promptly. Pressure washing and caulking was done a few weeks before the exterior painting, followed by some interior painting the same week. They were punctual during all days of the job, didn't waste any time, and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The quality of the work is top notch.

Sam was extrememely professional walking us through every step of the process. He promptly responded to our phone calls and emails. The level of protection for adjoining areas and protecting floor surfaces and woodwork was great. Once we were able to walk through the room and see how well the paint had been applied and the meticulously cleaned area, we knew we had made the right decision in hiring Sam. We are planning on painting more rooms and will have Sam do that for us.

We needed a lot of drywall repairs due to recent electrical work. Sam came out to look at the work the same day I called him, and because the work was extensive he suggested billing us for time and expenses vs. an estimate. He and his brother were able to schedule us for three days later. They were extremely efficient, professional and friendly, and completed the work in only two days (one for drywall repairs and one for paint). We are absolutely thrilled, and recommend them without reservation.

Great job, I'm quite pleased with their work. We contracted a bit late in the year so our job was done just before the fall weather hit. All work was done carefully, we had pressure washing, caulking as well as the painting done. They used good ground cloth and were careful of the shrubs, porch and deck. Things were cleaned up after the job nicely, something that is not always true with contractors. Sam let me know when they would come, showed up on time and didn't fool around leaving the job to hang for days on end. It was done, quickly and in a timely manner. My ONLY complaint was that we had discussed having the back doors painted and the day the trim was painted that didn't get done. The weather was going bad early that day so it was too late to do those doors as it was going to rain. Otherwise I am certain once I pointed out that they were also supposed to be painted it would have gotten done then. I'm happy to recommend this company, good people, good service and I'm quite happy with them

Sam and his crew were great. We were in a tight timeline to paint a new retail space. Sam was very accommodating and juggled his schedule to get our job done. He was responsive, timely and professional. I would highly recommend Sam's Painting and Remodel.

Power wash was done amazingly fast. My only regret with scraping was not having any tarps down to catch the huge quantity of paint chips. The few dry rot repairs were excellent; near the bottom of one window and two pieces of siding below; two pieces in an inside corner where a gutter end had leaked; and two horizontal casings around pillars; for an additional $600. EVERYTHING was re-caulked. Primed over the bare spots. Sam talks a lot, which turns out to be a good thing and there were a couple of items we should have talked about MORE ahead of time! He was surprised when I showed him my paint colors. I chose to change my light gray house to a deep "fiery brown." Sam was concerned about coverage, but the first coat did fine. When he went to get paint, Sherwin-Williams didn't have the base coat for his specification/bid (Woodscapes or Superpaint) at any store within 50 miles, so I agreed to a $300 upgrade to Resilience rather than wait to get the other base shipped in. Our next hiccup was that I hadn't expected my deck overhang (ceiling, if you will) to be painted, so when I saw the dark red-brown on it we had to talk. What became Sam's mantra was, "My bid was to paint it like it had been, it's part of the house, and the overhang was the house color before." We came to an agreement he would mask off the area and spray the overhang, about an extra $200. I said I wanted white and of course would pay for the paint, but he ended up doing the tan trim color. Whatever. As they were doing the trim, I asked to have the four "medallions" at the gables painted the contrast color. Of course I would pay for labor. But while he did the circle part of the medallion, in the end I could not get him to do the four triangles around each circle. So I'm going to do them. I also just finished doing my deck railing myself.

Very well. They were delayed a bit by rain but still started the job in a reasonable period and did not stop until they were done. Sam communicates well and kept me informed and responded when I made contact.

Great job, quick, professional, and respectful. I was on a very limited deadline where I need the house literally painted the week I called. All the painters wanted me to wait weeks, one didn't show up, and the other one gave me a few days past the time frame I wanted to get the job done. Sam did it faster then he even promised. He came on time, all the ceilings and walls took a lot of paint since the last color was very dark. All the ceilings and walls were flawless. I was not happy with two of the doors but Sam touched them up himself personally. This showed me that he took his work and satisfaction of his customers very seriously. I am extremely picky and demanding when it comes to contractors but I am impressed at his professionalism and he got the work done to my satisfaction which is not an easy thing to do. I highly recommend hiring him for all your painting jobs. He also meet my budget which I greatly appreciated it.

Sam's Painting did a great job evaluating what needed to be done and coming in under his time estimate. I liked the idea of paying by the hour. Sam's painter worked efficiently and accomplished more than expected in an 8 hour day. The work quality was excellent.

Sam and his guys did an excellent job on our deck & pergola: finding and hand picking the wood (top quality western red cedar), demoing the deck, repairing miscellaneous rotting supports, and building and finishing the deck and pergola.

It went very well. It took a little longer than I thought, but the detail was great. They saved me money by cutting up the carpet. I am pretty impressed. They also built a closet and installed a show and a sink for the price.
