I hired him to do my landscaping project for me, however, he did not deduct my $49.00 from my total cost and I never received my plans. He did credit my $49.00 once I brought it to his attention. I was overal satisfied with their work.

The owner was professional, knowledgeable, cheerful and helpful. We decided to go with a professional arborist for our main project, however.

They did a great job. My yard looks great!

Four guys showed up on time and worked hard for a little over an hour. I hadn't mentioned how tall my arbor vitae are (tall!), so they had to borrow my 8' ladder to reach the tops. They did a pretty good job trimming them down, probably could have done better with more of an idea what to plan for. Took them about 5 minutes to remove a large, troublesome, prickly bush from my front yard. The bulk of their time was spent on the arbor vitae and hauling out my huge pile of tree limbs that I have been accumulating all summer. I wish they had brought a bigger truck, because they spent a lot of time breaking down the branches so they could fit everything. But they did a great job with what they had, were courteous and professional. I would definitely call these guys again.

Edward and his crew are wonderful. They are professional, on time and very personable. We really had no idea what the possibilities might be for our little corner and Edward was able to provide vision and direction. He also gave insight to a very large tree that could cause safety issues. He then revised the computer graphics for us at no extra cost. I was very impressed with their quick responses and ability to start so quickly! His vast knowledge and eagerness is contagious. The first estimate was above our monetary goals for this corner so he was able to rework the plan to fit within a budget. Unfortunately, we are not able to start the work yet but will be keeping his number for the spring :) I would have no hesitation trusting their work and loving the results :)

I purchased a big deal for 4 man hours fall yard cleanup. I was contacted by the owner right away to schedule a convenient time for me. The work was done a few days ago and I was very happy with all aspects. Two men arrived and first went around front and back to see what I wanted done. They fully understood what my priorities were, and made sure what they were going to do was exactly what I wanted. They finished everything timely and even had suggestions for further work when I still had some paid time left. They were thorough, very efficient and professional. They offered all of their services for the future and I'm certain I will have them back for irrigation issues as well as possible regular maintenance,

It went well. 4 workers came for 1 hour, or a bit longer. They worked hard and were able to finish most of the jobs I'd hoped to get done in the time I had paid for.

It was excellent. The service was great. The yard looks amazing. Going to sign up for more frequent maintenance and continue using them.

The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew is friendly, accommodating and hard working. I plan on using this company for the next steps.

Yard looks great! The crew showed up on time and asked a lot of questions to get an idea of what we needed done. They got right to work and before I knew it they had my whole front yard and a big part of my back yard cleared of overgrowth, bushes, and trimmed the trees. They did a great job of picking up everything and it looks so good! We can't wait to have them come back regularly to keep it looking this nice all the time! We will also be recommending this company to everyone we know. We look forward to building a long lasting relationship with this company. Hands down, one of the best landscaping companies we have done business with in quite a few years.

It went poorly. I signed-up on 7/30 using the Angie's List "my messages" and gave all the usual information -- availability, since my name and address were clearly displayed, and "my messages" with Angies list work's the same as messages on Craig's List. You don't have to hand out your email address. I got a reply saying they needed my name, address and phone and email, and that displayed right below my name and address. I gave them what was wanted, and had no further contact. On 8/6, I asked if we could schedule yet, and was told they sent me an email (never received) and I was scheduled for that week. I asked for the date and time, and was told "tomorrow 4/7/14" Ignoring the typo, I asked AM or PM and got the reply of "am." I then asked what they needed me to do prior to them coming. Water thoroughly in AM or not, etc? Reply was: "It's a slow release because of heat water at night for 2 days also my apologies we are very busy this was the soonest service date do thank you for your patience" I asked for clarification, and got no further reply. So I watered thoroughly, and again that night for the morning expected arrival. There was a two man crew. I walked out the living room of my home to my back yard at about 8:15 AM to find someone from MainStream finishing-up in my back yard, who said his partner was done by then in the front yard. There had been NO knock on door or ring of doorbell. No introductions were made. No concerns were solicited. They just came and applied chemicals to my property. I was stunned. My lawn weeds didn't die -- they are doing well. The front yard person apparently sprayed the English moss in my front flower bed and killed almost all of it, not recognizing it as a ground cover. Now I will have to buy more, and probably replace some of the topsoil to be sure the next pots will take well. I had thyme in another area for a ground cover, and it is all dead too. The provider cost me time and work to return my property to pre-loss condition, since my ground covers were killed. I expressed my unhappiness on 8/20 (when I'd calmed down) and sent photos of the damage-- and got no reply. I called on 8/22 and stated on the phone what happened, and was told I'd be contacted. That never happened, and it is now a week later. Because of terrible [lack of] communication, killing my desired plants, and no follow-up, I am giving MainStream a D rating. It is unacceptable service.

The experience was outstanding. They did an amazing job. The deck looks like it was just installed. They were here for three full days of pressure washing, hand sanding, applying two coat of stain.even helped move our heavy furniture. They removed eight year of dirt from the deck. Hand sanded the entire deck , including railing and all stairs. They were extremely professional, polite, punctual, true craftsmen. I would highly recommend Main Stream and will continue to use their wide array of services. Our deck is now something we are extremely proud of and am so pleased we picked this company. Far exceeded our expectations.

After cleaning gutters we experienced torrential rains a week later. All my drains and gutters backed-up, overflowed, causing massive water to drain directly into my foundation causing flooding in my basement. Needles to say, we were very disappointed in Main Stream's lack of down-spout preparation prior to roof and gutter cleaning. A simple drain strainer placed into the down-spout openings prior to washing the roof would have kept the drains clear and have avoided drains clogging. The debris from the roof flowed into the down-spouts, clogged the drains. Run off water had no place to go.

We usually mow our own lawns but were unable to do so for about a month due to multiple health issues, so the lawn was very tall and difficult to mow. They went above and beyond to schedule promptly even though they were really busy, and did a great job mowing--they even mowed the grass/weeds on the side of the house which I didn't expect but was really helpful and nice of them (I had just asked for the front and back to be mowed). All in all, great job, I would definitely recommend them to others.

It was a delicate work, we have a sensitive and anxious neighbor and there was a limb leaning against her fence that was in the neighbor's yard and he was afraid it was a dead limb. He was afraid it was going to ruin his ornamental expensive trees and he told me to get someone who had insurance, that's his warning to me. "You hurt my trees and I'm coming after you" and so I actually said that to Mainstream, I said, "Just so you know, you're bidding on a job where you need to make sure you have insurance" because the guy won't let us in his backyard but he is insisting we have a professionals and he's insisting we have someone who's bringing a few people over and it's to remove a dead limb that's 25th in the air. It's heavy and if you do anything to damage his trees then he'll be suing. They took the job, they didn't back away. They're like, "Yeah, we got this" and they charged us $200 to remove one limb but what a $10 is for, he flat out doesn't want us to do it, we weren't allowed to do our chainsaw and bring it down so that's what happened, I think it's pretty cool. They were fantastic.

Prompt, Courteous: They called back and met us to give a very competitive bid on this messy, time-consuming work. We had two years of deferred maintenance--fighting vines in a neglected yard in rainy SE Portland--and another service bid twice the price and predicted it would take 3 days--to this teams' value price and 5 hours of hard labor. Solid Crew of Committed Workers: The owner, Eddie, and his crew, work well together: friendly, efficient, clear, and on task. They are in their 20s, not long time landscapers, but that makes them more energetic, not out-sourcing labor, and committed to winning and growing this very well managed and run business. Faster than Expected Work: We were pleased to have them come sooner than expected, as the rains cleared, and get the work donw (team of 4) in a few hours shorter than predicted. They were mean clean clearing machines. Thorough Clean Out: This was a challenging project and included major vines growing on our neighbors' garage roof. They got all the vines down--and cleared the lot well to prevent future growth of the returning blackberries. Very Detailed to Clean Up, Final Details: The property was immactulately cleaned up later--we even noticed details we hadn't expected, such as our fence side roses being trimmed. A great, complete job on a much needed project. Thanks guys! Communicative and Responsive to Clients: This team was also very clear at communicating, and also handled the tricky task of listening to myself and my husband when we had slightly different ideas about a trellis. Well done.

We have used Ed's service before. This is our 2nd time utilizing his service. Other providers "trim weeds" leaving them to grow back what seems to be bigger and stronger. Ed's team PULLED and DUG out the weeds. Following up with the cross bow will keep them at bay for another year or two with only minor maintenance by ourselves.

I was very disapointed. They seemed like nice kids and wanted to give them a chance. It was hard work and they just seemed like it was to big a job. Gave that impression.
