Mainstream Landscape

Could not recommend mainstream enough. Amazing communication, talented crew, super hard working, and genuinely good authentic people. They did a huge project for us that involved retaining walls, a sport court, leveling a steep grade, etc. A+++++ work. I am recommending mainstream to everyone I know! If you’re looking for a landscaping company, look no further. This one is THE BEST

They took a backyard I was embarrassed of and transformed it into a space we use daily. My young daughter spends her days in the back playing in a safe and clean environment.

Went well. Crew was professional and Eddy checked in frequently to check in on work being done. Sidewalk was cracked from heavy equipment, but Eddy took care of it. Beautiful work overall.

It starts with the basics: showed up when they were supposed to, stayed on schedule, finished on-time. The work is beautiful and excellent quality. They are the Picassos of pavers! Our backyard went from blah to a stunning space that we feel is an extension of our home. They went above and beyond when trouble-shooting creative and practical solutions for unexpected obstacles. The crew paid attention for form as well as function in their choices. There were also so many little touches that made it feel like they were doing this in their own backyard. Their lighting system is over-the-top cool and completely modular. Their expertise in placement enabled them to tailor a lighting layout that met our budget but still has an impressive visual impact. And it’s expandable and changeable if we want to add to it in the future. Edward, Betsey, and the crew are extremely professional and friendly.

The mainstream team were very hard working men with professional manners. I would definately hire them again as my patio turned out exactly how we visioned it! Thanks guys we are loving it! Definately try this company out you won’t be disappointed.

This was a two year sizable project that encompassed building to large paver patios, grading and leveling about two acres, with one turning into a hydroseed lawn, building out and installing a sprinkler system alongside an in ground cistern for house water and creating custom rails for the patios. This became a long term relationship (vs. single transaction) and with any large project like this, there will always be some hurdles. Mainstream was great to work with, always brought a relationship approach and were willing to work through challenges to make sure the end result was a happy client. Their team worked their butt off in any weather condition and their work is excellent. Watching them complete this effort, it was about doing it right and with quality vs. just getting done. High integrity and a willingness to go the full distance. I would absolutely recommend Mainstream Landscape and after a 2+ year large project, we are more excited about my home and the outcome than we thought we would be. And Mainstream has been there with white glove support for helping us with understanding our new sprinkler and pump system, which sets them apart long after the work is complete.

This wasn’t too good. We thought that they were going to come out and do it for three separate times. They came out and did three separate treatments.

I didn't feel like it was worth the time. They left a bunch of holes in our lawn. I don't know if that actually made it better. There were no additional costs on the "Big Deal" I purchased. I didn't like all the clogs. The dirt clogs left in our lawn afterwards was kind of annoying. I had to rake everything up. It was fine. They were fairly responsive.

The yard was weed wacked then they treated with chemicals. I wasn't a huge fan of the chemicals, but I understand why it was necessary. the yard was really over grown.

I love gardening, and I have an ambitious garden with a lot of plants. Unfortunately I hurt my knee earlier this year, and haven't been able to keep up with my garden this year. So I called them for help. First I spent nearly 30min on the phone where they simply tried to record my name, address, phone number and email address into their system. Apparently that is much too big a challenge for them because eventually they gave up, put my on hold (without warning) and then dropped my call. Then they emailed me saying that they had failed to record my phone number so I should call them. So I spent nearly another half hour on the phone with them before finally they (allegedly) got that recorded and scheduled a visit to my home to give me a quote. Two young men showed up, and started chastising me for the state of my yard. One of them compared it to a "turd". The left saying they were going to send me a quote (like I wanted one at that point!). Then in the ultimate irony, they called and left a message saying that they were unable to send a quote because they failed to record my email address correctly LOL. I don't think I've ever encountered a company I wanted to work with less than Mainstream Landscape. I'll let somebody else make that mistake.

It went fine. They did a lot of things for the amount of money I spent. I have asked them to come back this spring!

He was very polite and professional. He seemed like a decent guy. I didn't feel that there was 600 dollars worth of work to trim a few trees in a few hours.

Considering the grass was still unusually wet I am thrilled with the result. The fellas were very professional and well orchestrated, and suitably fast. The initial response to my request for service was surprisingly fast and with no surprises. I've used 3 other Landscaping services in the past, and none were as pleasant, responsive, and capable at the services requested. (admittedly those other vendors were doing more than lawn service, but they got their price so I'm at a loss as to why they failed to perform at least this service as promptly or accurately as Mainstream.) Yes I would most definitely recommend them for spring lawn service... Oh, and no it was not a special pricing package but it was very affordable. Update: I wanted to let you know that you do need to keep in contact as they are good at their job so they do stay busy. I'm a bit of a drive for them so we both thought it might be better for me to find some one closer, but he did say he would service my yard on a regular basis if I wanted to pay the travel fee. I get it as I am like an hour outside their normal district. AND FIY we did have a dialog about the travel fee for regular service at the start. I have yet to make a decision on the regular basis but I would pay the travel fee to get these guys. so he is definately reputable.

I was home for part of the service. 4-5 landscapers came out and completed the job in a day. The owner had a good eye for landscaping detail and improvement. I was pleased with his ideas and decisions. The crew was very professional. I had no problem scheduling the service and everything went off without a hitch.

The service went fine. We did have some communication issues initially. It was not made clear how I should contact the company to get the deal scheduled. Once I did get in contact with the company it was easy to schedule the deal for when I needed the service. I liked them enough to use them again for a larger landscaping project. I was not home while they did the service but I was pleased with the outcome.

The provider came and looked at my trees, gave me a verbal estimate, asked me to watch my email later that day for a written estimate, and I never heard from them again. I sent an email and left a phone message that I would like to schedule the service, and I still never heard back from them.

They came out when they said they would, and gave us an estimate to do a large landscape job in our back yard. They were professional and punctual. We decided to go a different route to save money.

They arrived early, went to work immediately and got the job done efficiently and well. Edward Simpson, who owns the company, came to make the initial bid. I had purchased the Angie's List coupon for his tree services. Because I had more work than was covered by the coupon, he gave me a bid for the additional work, and we agreed on a date, which was only four days later. Mr. Simpson is a charming young man who sticks to the business at hand but also is pleasant to work with.

We scheduled the service and they came to take pics, but never sent us a proposal. We sent the information that they required, like a layout of our yard and what we wanted, doing a lot of the work for them. We asked for new ideas on landscaping, but they never provided them to us. On 10/14 they said they will provide a bid after saying that what we send them was most of the work and if we wanted a refund, which we said no, we wanted the bid. On 11/12 I reached out asking for the bid that we never got or a reimbursement. they responded the same day with this: "Thank you for your email and reminder regarding your bid. We apologize for the delay in getting it to you and would advise that installation of new landscaping would not be recommended at this time due to current weather, however we would be more than work up a quote for you for installation in the spring" on 12/9 I told them we were not interested and wanted a refund. They referred me to Angie's List. If they cannot provide us with a bid with all the information that we provided to them and are telling me they can't do the work until the spring, to me sounds like they are just ignoring and not reading my requests. We will never schedule work without a bid first. Since we didn't get a bid, which is why we bought the coupon for, we would like a refund. I will also like this review posted on Angie's List. This is the first time we have trouble with a vendor that we contacted through you guys. Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you need copies of the emails, please let me know.

Here as my response to the business, which should answer a lot. Wow! You are unreal! I was trying to see if splitting up the work for now & then in the Spring might be better for my pocket book. I had given you ideas of what I would like to have, but you as claiming to be a designer in your Angie's ad was obviously untrue. I never saw a schematic (drawing of your proposal) I only received an estimate with no recommendations from you. You did not do as advertised. With your attitude I'd rather not do business with you. Your just another business who does not follow through. This kind of attitude is not good for your MEW business. When a personal b spending 20,000.+ on only a backyard, it is something to think about & get the details necessary to hire someone. I waited, but never received all that I was told. Th first person who came by seems to be unsure. Then you wanted to come by discussing more beds for the job. I never received 2 DIFFERENT estimate from you or any drawings of how the job would look, with elevations & all. I could not picture it done. You didn't even get me finally stomata with types of stone, which w walked about.. You did not complete you bid. I was not going to be left open for a lot of surprises. How can you give a bid when you don't know what kind of materials your going to use I thought your rely to my inquiry was very rude & unprofessional! By the way the first day I was late 10 min do to a dr appt. I don't believe you arrived at the correct time either!?
