He arrived the same day that I called his company. Very prompt. Very friendly and professional. He was quick to give me an estimate by email the very next day.

I asked another company to come out. They also indicated they could remove the moss, but my roof really needed to be replaced. I decided to interview contact roofing contractors for the replacement of my roof. I am in the process of getting bids for that procedure.

Fidel Quintana and his family are the best! On time, kept the premises clean and performed the job in the time frame they specified. Quintana roofing is professional and made the extra effort to make sure we were satisfied with their work. Follow up phone calls were made to ensure they had done the job correctly. Mr. Quintana and his daughter provided us with the best bid for the job. The bid was itemized in detail. No other roofer provided such a detailed bid. Mr. Quintana started the job within one week and worked the job until completion. He and his partner were timely, professional, responsive to our inquiries, and cleaned the work site daily. It went very well. Mr Quintana's work was punctual, complete, professional and appropriately priced. He was very careful to assure all debris was completely removed upon completion. When he gave an estimate, Mr. Quintana explained very throughly what he was going to do. He called me within a few days of my signing the estimate, and would come on the following Saturday. He showed me how he cleaned the roof - with only a wire brush (like a large toothbrush), and a plastic scraper. He was very proud of his work and his methods. He said he would finish by the end of the day, and might have to come back (he started at 10:30 AM). I watched him from time to time and he appeared to be doing literally every square inch of shingle. (I am a construction cost estimator, although not roofing, and I would have estimated it to take at least twice as long as it did). He finished at about 5:30. He walked around the house with me and showed me his work, including a powder he put on the roof to finish killing the last 5% of moss; this was explained in his estimate as well. His bid included repairing any loose shingles, which he said there were a few of, altough I couldn't see any. (I did not climb on the roof to look; however, I feel he is very honest and I have no doubt he did what he said. Two shingles at the edge of the roof I knew about, and I pointed these out to him. They are not obvious if you don't know they are there, and they certainly aren't visible from the roof. Although he had put his ladder and tools away, he got up and nailed those down.

Mr. Quintana was the third roofing company we contacted for information regarding this roofing issue. The first two told us that we would have to replace the composite singles with a single sheet product that could only be installed in the summer because it had to be heated and sealed. Mr. Quintana came and looked at the roof and saw the issues we were having with leaking whenever the rain came from a certain direction and gave us the option of waiting and putting up with the leaks until summer to use the single sheet option or using a metal roof option that would cost a little more but it was something he could install in a couple days when there were some breaks in the rain. We asked him to give us a quote for the metal roof option. The material may have been more expensive, but his quote was less than one company and half of what the other well rated company was going to charge. We hired him and are so glad we did. He is pleasant and positive to work with. He got the materials ordered and the job done in less than a week from the time we signed the contract. He came on a day that was clear, but worked over the weekend to finish quickly. He worked in through the weather using tarps when the need arose with the quickly changing Oregon weather. He was not aware of everything that would need to be done until he had the old shingles removed and discovered the work that had been done previously had left some major challenges. Mr.Quintana was flexible and resourceful at figuring out how to fix those issues. He thought of solutions and purchased some extra materials all within the original quote expense limit. The roof is beautiful, but more than beautiful, it has been installed for the past two weeks with huge of amounts of heavy rain and the shop is totally dry. I enjoyed his pleasant manner, work ethic, and the quality of the finished product so much if makes me wish I had another leaky roof for him to repair. Because we liked him so much we hired him and his crew to clean the moss off the rest of the roof and that was also a job well done. His crew is as pleasant to work with as he is himself. We will see...I did not rate quality since I will have to see if the repair holds up against rain, wind, and so forth in the future.

Mr. Quintana, owner, has developed his own system in which he cleans every space around ach shingle for a very complete job. He cleaned up all residue around the house and yard. He was prompt and quickly finished the job as scheduled. He has a strong work ethic and commitment. But

Mr. Quintana came on a Thursday and started work the next day. I have never watched a person clean a roof before but I was amazed at the level of care each shingle received, literally every shingle was cleaned cleaned. The job was done over two partial days and the roof hasn't looked this good in years. Mr. Quintana took all the moss with him when he was done. His work is excellent and his personality matches, he is a really nice guy.

You couldn't ask for a better roofer. He did everything he said he would do. There was very little evidence that there had been any job done. They worked so hard and were always pleasant. It was high quality material and there were portions that was metal not just shingles.

He went above and beyond. Very honorable.

He examined the area and couldn't be sure where the leak was as everything looked OK. He applied tar to different suspected areas. He did not charge for this service. He said to watch it during the next storms and call him if the leak reappears. I told him that I would send him something if the leak was fixed. He gave me his business card and left. He was very prompt and arrived soon after the the first call. FYI: The roof is only 7 years old and in good shape. The leak is only in one small area in one of the unused bedrooms. There are exhaust vents nearby. We had a fierce downpour a month or so ago. I only noticed the leak recently as mold was growing there.

I had Fidel from Quintana Roofing do a full-service clean-up last year to my roof, which involved extensive moss removal as well as gutter cleaning and applying moss control when finished. He did a great job. I contacted Fidel again this year to do an annual maintenance/cleaning of the roof and gutters and he was able to complete the project the same week. Out of four quotes, their price was the best. The job took them about a week to complete. They were very helpful and even cleaned up well after themselves at the end of each night. They did not require any payment until the job was complete. They did a very good job.

Mr. Quintana is very professional and knowledgeable about roofing. He showed up at the appointed time and gave us several options for to consider since we were replacing the roof. He had the lowest bid. We did not select Mr. Quintana because he would not be able to complete the work within the timeframe that we wanted because of his other work projects. If he had been able to complete the work within the timeframe, we would have selected his company.

I had 5 bids to re-roof a small rental home. The old roof needed to be torn off, and new sheathing laid down. I also didn't have anyway to hang gutters, and no soffit vents in front of the home. Out of all the people that came out to do an inspection, Fidel (the owner) was the nicest and really listened to my concerns. His quote was much less than most of the other quotes, and that was with him replacing the sheathing with plywood. He is honest, and enjoys his work. His daughter, netty, does the contracts and office work, and she is very nice and responsive also. Fidel mostly works by himself, with a few employees that assist him on occasion. So the jobs take a few days, but I think this helps to keep the cost down. He did a lot of extra work, and didn't really charge more. He even cleaned the moss off a detached garage for free. He even let me use the dumpster for garbage lying around the property. I worked with him and we came up with a fix for some ventilation issues, and he was able to find a way to hang fascia, so I could have gutters installed. The only thing he doesn't do, is install gutters. Before I hired him, I checked with angies list, BBB, and verified his CCB and insurance. I found nothing negative, and only good reviews. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Mr. Quintana was an absolute joy to work with. We recently moved into an older home that needed its roof replaced. He removed the old shingles, along with old, non-functioning vents and two chimneys that we didn't want/need, and placed 37 squares of 30-year Malarkey shingles. He also laid down metal valley for additional moisture protection for the gables. He did much of the job himself, with help a few hours a day from an additional worker that he's known for many years. It was apparent from the first day that he took a great deal of pride in his job, and enjoyed and appreciated his work. He gave thorough explanations of his work, put in long hours of hard work with a smile on his face, and thanked us every day for the opportunity to replace our roof. He brought us melons one day, and cherry tomatoes on another day. He worked through the weekend, and finished the job sooner than anticipated. He ended up installing more vents than estimated for no additional charge, re-roofed a small shed for no charge. When Fidel completed the job, we were left with a beautiful new roof and no other trace that any work had been done at our house. Upon completion, he also told us that he had made a miscalculation in his initial estimate, and that he had ordered too many shingles, and estimated more labor than he put in, so our final invoice ended up being $1800 less than his estimate. He even gave us a parting gift of a Quintana roofing hat with our toddler's name embroidered on the side of it, as well as a smaller hat that would fit him until he grow into the other hat =). His English is more than adequate for effective communication, but his daughter Nery also came with him when the estimate and final invoice were being discussed to ensure that my wife (who doesn't speak Spanish) would understand everything clearly. Between the joyful and thankful attitude, thorough and skilled work, and integrity, I can't think of another small business I've ever recommended as highly as I do Quintana Roofing.

Mr Quintana was very courteous and thoroughly explained what he was going to do. He offered to work on Memorial Day as he had a lengthy job starting the following day and didn't want us to have to wait to get the work done. He removed all the moss by hand, let us know we had several shingles that were missing and replaced them. He also cleaned out all the gutters, cleaned the skylights and caulked around the vent pipes, then applied a chemical to keep the moss from returning for 2-3 years. It went well. Mr. Quintana removed ALL of the moss by hand so as not to damage the shingles. He applied an anti-moss agent which he guarrantees for 3 years. He installed new seals around all pipes cog through the roof.min

They were totally professional and knowledgeable of all aspects of the job. From the estimate to the tear off, the installation, the cleanup and the walk through at the end. I even had some stuff that was waiting for me to take to the dump. Which I was ale to throw in the drop box they used for disposing of the tear off debris. The final job was only 90 dollars more then the estimate. This is because of the dry rotted sheets of plywood needing to be replaced. I had allowed in my budget for 500 extra to for any unexpected repairs. I admit that I was skeptic about using the lowest estimate I had received. Especially since they were about 900 dollars cheaper then the 2nd lowest, and 1750 less then the highest. After meeting Nery and Fidel I felt confidant in my choice. Also there were some other positive reviews of their work on Angie's list. Emphasizing on the quality and economically priced jobs. Fidel pointed out to me the reasons why I had experienced some water damage from the previous roof. He showed me what would be done to prevent those leaks from ever happening again. After completion Fidel and Nery took me on the roof to show me what was done! Overall I am EXTREMELY happy and satisfied with the roof. It looks beautiful and I feel comfort in knowing that my home investment is protected for many years to come!!

He began the work about three days later and finished within the time frame estimated. All moss and debris from the roof was cleaned up; gutters were clean and debris-free.
