Lived in our house for 20 years and found out our fireplace needed lots of work. Replaced all bricks in the fireplace inside the house and the chimney needed new mortar, weather proofing and a new damper. Surprised how much disrepair our chimney was in and Murphys was very professional and extremely honest with what needed to be done. Told us what we should do for maintenance in the future to keep our fireplace in good shape. Only negative is response on calling back for initial bid. Once work was started they were very responsive.

The technician arrived on time, was courteous yet professional. He inspected, vacuumed and cleaned the fire logs, interior spaces and the glass screen. He placed a tarp on the carpeting so as not to get dust or dirt on it as he went about his work. I will definitely use this company again! The technician is key to why I recommend this company. I felt very comfortable that he did an excellent job inspecting and cleaning the unit.

He got lost, but many people do to my neighborhood, otherwise was quick, did a thorough job, changing needed batteries, cleaning, testing. Kept the area around the fireplace tidy too. Was professional and personable. The cost was low because of an Angie's List coupon, though, not sure how I'd feel about full price.

Got the 99 dollar "deal" for chimney sweep and fireplace clean inspection. Would not empty the ash box. Cleaning was superficial, finger swipe was just as dirty before and after service. I felt like I paid for a quote. Left me feeling like I wished I had just paid full price and would have maybe got the service I was really wanting.

Ted and Devin arrived well within the window they quoted. My fireplace was inspected, cleaned and restored to like new condition when they left. Ted was training Devin so I got some extra information that was helpful to me in the care and use of my insert. They even re-arranged the logs to match the instruction manual. I would highly recommend Murphy's for new or service of existing gas inserts.

Work actually performed was very professional (A). Make sure to schedule well in advance. Internal communications in this company were completely screwed up. These folks need to learn how to use their telephones to talk between the office to the sweepers and more importantly from the office to their customers and from their sweepers to their customers- exceptionally unprofessional (F) - wasted both my time and theirs .

The entire process was painless. From the estimate with Paul, the ladies in the office, the technicians (Cole and Ted); every employee of this firm exemplified customer service. The knowledge, skills, experience and abilities are top notch. I will not only recommend Murphy's, but I will ONLY use Murphy's for my chimney/fireplace/wood stove needs, in the future. What a very pleasant experience. I can't sing the praises any louder. Thank you to ALL of you!
