Showed up at 9:40 for 9:40 appointment. Job took 30 min. 2 workers. Nathan answered all my questions about the job and related fireplace issues. Happy to report that he stated when he didn't know the answer in depth, but suggested what may be the source of effects. The job was done quickly, professionally and cleanly. Quoted a list of optional improvements (chimney cap, brick cleaning/seal) and repairs (cement flue cap replacement) that should be considered, but that they not a limitation to safe usage of the fireplace. I would hire again.

I was able to get the help I needed over the phone and the tech was curious and very helpful.

Paul came out and met us to see what the project entailed. He then provided us with a very reasonable quote. The office staff worked with us to help pick our choices (they have many fireplaces). After everything was ordered, they set up the installation. The technicians arrived at exactly the time they said they would. Paul accompanied them and they started the job on time. They were very respectful of our home, and they kept us updated with pictures and texts. They were finished on time, and left the place very clean. We highly recommend them and should we have another need for gas piping, chimney maintenance, or similar, they will be the only number we call! Jim and Sandy

Murphy's was awesome. showed up on time, very courteous. Concerned with keeping the area clean as well. I would definitely rehire.

Initial repair worked for a while then failed. When I contacted Murphy's and told them about it, they sent out a technician who evaluated the problem on the first visit, then returned with proper parts and did the replacement. Tech was competent, courteous, and worked quick. Highly recommend for honesty.

I called to make an appointment weeks ago and was given this date at 200pm. It is now 4pm and we havent gotten a call or had anyone show up.

Murphy's Fireplace / Santiam gutters did work for my mother. Here is her review: I felt there were many issues with the installation of gutters by this company. In my opinion the quality of their work was very poor. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Submitted request for quote on roof cleaning, Moss treatment and gutter replacement around the end of August — got absolutely no response.

The repairman was very professional. He made sure that drop cloths were used, plus cloths on his shoes. He did a good job cleaning and made sure the logs were placed back in the correct way. I was very happy with the cleaning.

They gave me quote to clean both fireplaces for $240.00 the guy showed up looked in my fireplace with his flashlight and said the my chimney was clean and did not need cleaning and charged me for a service charge of $87. for each fireplace for a total $174. That took him all but 10 minutes for doing absolutely nothing. He was a scammer and lazy he kept talking about how he needed to be home to take care of his step daughter. NEVER RECOMMEND them again. I don’t know if I’ll ever use Angie’s list again.

So I called this stupid company back in September to come and look at the fireplace vent fan while it's not working. Since they were booked out two and half weeks I waited until beginning of October. The guy came when he said he would but said he didn't have the part and would need to order it. He promised it would be quick and I would be charged after the part came and they installed it. I called a week later and the ****** bag completely forgot about the order but promised he would check with the office to make sure the order was placed and when it would arrive. It's beginning of November and I am still waiting for this messed up company to give me a phone call. Basically, there's little kids in the house and no fireplace heating. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I am a pretty patient person but this is absolutely ridiculous from all areas. I am calling another company on Monday and having them come over and who knows when we will get the fireplace fan fixed. I called this company because they had a better rate and good reviews but they are the most unprofessional company I have ever come upon them. Just pay the extra 30 bucks and go with another company. I promise you, at least they will get the work done and not make you wait a month and half without a word.

I really liked the young man who came out. He was courteous, informative and didn't mind my yapping pugs. I have a double sided fireplace so there were two separate glass door screens to clean. I would definitely recommend them. Although they are in Salem, they came out to SW Portland at no additional charge.

Ted and Travis did an amazing job. Not only did they get the job done , but also took the time to answer any questions that I had.

I only needed the cosmetic but had to pay for an inspection also. He almost forgot the cosmetic aspect and Im glad I was there to realize before he was gone. Nice work overall. would use again. Prices are decent.

Hired them to clean and check fireplace to ensure all was in working order. Work was done and soon after the fireplace would not light. Called them back and was told the pilot assembly needed to be replaced and they would call when the part came in. I was charged another service call. They never called me back. I was told it was going to be $300+ for the repair. That was in January. I checked on Next Door for a referral. Another company came out and replaced the thermocouple and batteries only, thoroughly cleaned the fireplace which the technician said had not been cleaned adequately and I was only charged $204.
