Description of Work: Disorganized and lack of communication among staff, paid more than expected.

Description of Work: Cleaned and checked my fireplace and checked my chimney. Also did a minor repair on the chimney cap.

Description of Work: I needed my gas fireplace looked at because it would no longer ignite, although the pilot flame was still burning. He did a thorough cleaning, including getting the carbon buildup off the igniter nozzle and adjusted the flame, which was not blue like it should be. But he could not get it to ignite except manually, which normally can be turn on with the wall switch. He thought there must be a problem with the wall switch electrical connection because he couldn't find anything else wrong. So I called an electrician, who confirmed that there is an electrical connection so the switch is operating correctly.The man who came out was very nice, but did not follow through as far as checking back with me, which I thought would've been a good thing to do, because it might be the igniter itself that's bad. I had also asked about the cost of replacement glass on the front because the glass on there was badly etched and dark in places, and it did not clean off. Nobody ever called me back with a quote on that, either.

Description of Work: Chimney was cleaned of mold. Eroded mortar was removed and replaced. Flashing was installed on roof to divert rain water to prevent further erosion. Fireplace was inspected and cleaned. We were satisfied with the work that was done and would do business with Murphy's again in the future.

Description of Work: Gas fireplace cleaned and checked out. Brass louvers on fireplace front were painted black which really updated the look. Price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: The technician arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently to inspect both the inside of our fireplace insert wood burning stove and also inspected the chimney and flashing on the roof. He was polite, knowledgeable and gave us good advice on the upkeep and maintenance of our insert. Well done!

Description of Work: First service didn't last. Repeat calls to have situation fixed took quite awhile. It was during Christmas time. Service person was very nice and helpful.
