I purchased an Angie's List deal for a gas fireplace cleaning and tune up. Murphy's called me within a day or two to schedule the appointment. They day of the appointment, Ted, the technician called to see if he could come a little early. He arrived promptly and did an amazing, thorough job. My stove had been unused for quite some time and wasn't lighting reliably. Ted quickly diagnosed a loose connection and fixed it along with an amazing cleaning. My fireplace looks as good as it did the day it was installed 14 years ago! And Ted walked me through the best way to operate the fireplace and made sure I understood all of the options for optimal operation. I am very happy with the service and reasonable price. I will definitely hire again.

Scheduling of repair was a little confusing. But in the end it all got done.

Very well. They cleaned the chimney with the swallows in it (after the babies left) and then measured both chimneys and the vent in the late fall/early winter. Then installed the caps in the March timeframe.

Tech was friendly and did a nice job.

There was a mix up with office dealings. I told receptionist it was Angie list deal and scheduled an appointment for a Friday between 3 & 5. No call no show at that time. I rescheduled. They came as scheduled. Did a great job and were very knowledgeable. But somehow my info about Angie's list coupon never got put on the paperwork and I heard the receptionist tell them I had never told her about the deal. Still deserve an A because guys were so great.

There were some issues that came up, but they handled them appropriately, and even went out of there way to paint a new section of pipe (with my paint) to match existing pipe.

They were a NIGHTMARE to schedule with. I purchased the deal on December 11, 2017 and the first appointment i could get was January 31, 2018 at 10am. I rearranged my work day so that i could be home to meet the contractor. After it took so long to get them on the schedule, they called me at 7:45 (day of service) to tell me they were on the way. I said, no, we have a 10am appointment and they went back & forth with me until they said okay, we will be there at 10. They called at 10 to say they would be more like 11. I had a conference call at 11 so I had an employee come over to wait for them and help me manage the job. She rearranged another job she had at the same time. They just called me at 10:58 and said it would be 11:45. I am done. I told them not to bother, I want my money back. I am in a service industry myself and I always confirm my appointments the day before (they did not and said that is not their standard of practice) and if i ever make a mistake in booking time, i own it and go above & beyond for the client. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

It went well. We had them come back out because the fireplace was working intermittently. It involves the switch, which they could not fix, but the fireplace does work!

Hired them to repair a chimney, $3500+ later and the chimney may be fixed (not sure as I don't know how to evaluate it) but my roof now leaks. Has been more than 12 calls (over more than 6 weeks) with the owner later and they begurdginingly came out and said they took care of it. Turns out they had forgotten at least 2 steps of the process- flashing and water sealing, they then said it took care of it. Last night we had the first major storm since and my ceiling leaks again. They have yet to repair the interior ceiling damage and water damage between the first and 2nd floor. -To clarify it never leaked before and is the area right up against the fire place. No doubt where it started.

Services was performed, about 1 hour per fireplaces. Glass was also cleaned.

The chimney sweep was sufficient and good, but the lower rating is a result of the technician excessive use of foul language and also suggesting additional costly work and repairs that were not necessary.

The gentleman came on time and worked hard and conscientiously to clean a gas fireplace that had never been professionally cleaned before.

Purchased their coupon through Angie's List. Made an appointment. Waited around all day and they never showed. Never heard from them again despite multiple attempts. Not sure what happened here.

The work went well and everything was left in great shape.

We're back enjoying warm, cozy evenings by the fireplace...thank you Murphy's!!! and Thank you Angie's List for keeping us on our toes to maintain our homes throughout the year.

Well, my fireplace is very clean but it doesn’t work. It comes on sometimes. When it does ignite it will go off and on until I get so nervous I just turn it off. Worker was punctual, professional and did a good job cleaning. I was disappointed that the fireplace is still inoperable and without a diagnosis. I purchased an Angie’s list deal. Very reasonable price but due to high demand, I waited several weeks before I could get an appointment.

Came onetime and spent about an hour cleaning, re-setting the logs, cleaning window. Works like new when. they completed,

An excellent job. Tony was courteous, punctual and professional. He cleaned the gas fireplace, rearranged the logs slightly for better performance and cleaned the mineral deposits off of the glass. The fireplace sparkles for the holidays!99

Arrived a little early, was helpful beyond just sweeping the chimney, and provided estimates for additional work.
