Murphy's came out two different times. Very punctual, respectful, and informative. We were very pleased with the Tech, and very pleased with the office customer service.

they were really booked out, so it took a couple of weeks, but very nice on the phone and did a great job.

They came and cleaned up the fireplace very well. Very impressed with the work.

The technician was very clean to my floor and area around the fireplace. He was knowledgeable and told me everything I can do at home to maintain my gas fireplace. He was quick but efficient.

KC showed up on time and went to work getting everything dialed in. He was friendly and took his time explaining to me how things worked and what to watch for so that my gas fireplace will last a long time. Thank you for your help.

I thought it was a little pricey. The work was done fast but I wasn't comfortable. There are two switches on the wall and they couldn't tell my why they each did the same thing. I would possibly use them again.

It turned out quite well. It was something I hadn’t done for a while and I usually do it myself. So he said I usually go and stoves are all dirty and everything and they’ve got ashes in them and your stove is all clean. He said your flue is pretty clean and he did get some stuff out of it. He checked the chimney and checked the brick and stuff, he said I needed to put cap on my chimney and that would help to get the water out and then it went quite well. I paid $99 for it because it was a special I got on Angie’s List. He did suggest there were a couple of things. He said I needed two flue caps and he put down the price.

Great job...capable, able and went out of his way to be helpful. Would definitely call them again.

The people who did the work did a great job. They took care of the work in a quick fashion. We had a tremendous amount of rain over the past few days and the interior of the chimney is still dry. They knew what they were doing and I am very pleased.

Tech tuned up the unit and stuck with trouble shooting the remote control problem and solved it! I was very happy about that.

Services were not performed. They never showed up when they were scheduled to. I even confirmed the date and time before hanging up the phone when I finally did reach them. They were extremely hard to reach to even schedule the service. When you call during business hours, you usually go directly to a voice recording. They never returned any of my messages. They never responded to email. I've requested a refund and found a new company to come out this week.

I spearheaded the inspection and cleaning of nine flues in a condominium in Portland. Paul Sanders was great about working with me to find a date that fit into the schedule of the 7 different units. They came on a day not usually scheduled for this part of Portland. The two technicians were neat, clean and thorough. The lead person encouraged owners or property managers to watch over his shoulder as the camera inspected the chimneys in this 1928 property. The inspection discovered issues that would not have been found without the camera. Though not pleasant to hear the price for repairs, we at least now know what needs to be done. I would recommend Paul Sanders and support its decision to always use cameras in buildings with flues that extend over several floors.

The workers were great and very professiona. The job was done in about 3 days from the start.

They were very professional. They came out and set up tarps to catch all the debris. They quickly took down all the old gutters and had to replace two fascia boards. By the end of the day, they had all the new gutters installed. I am very picky about my yard and they did a great job cleaning up after they were finished. I will have them come out and repair my chimney next fall when my tax return comes in.

Very professional. Cleaned as desired. During inspection, he found that the chimney was unsafe to use and quoted for a repair. Price seemed to be reasonable according to the market, although we couldn't afford it at the time. Didn't pressure me to get it, and also fixed a water leak around the flashing that had been proving problematic. Would definitely consider using again.

They have been coming out to my place for many years now. Paul was 10 minutes late, but called me earlier and informed me that he was on his way. Paul walked me through everything that needed to be done and gave me several options with the work that needed to be done with my chimney. I also decided to stop burning wood and had them install a gas insert. It looks fantastic!

Last year when I had the fireplaces cleaned, I got a price break on the second flue for a total bill of $225. With Murphy's they did allow the Angie's List price of $99 on the second flue, but even with a $76 price break on each flue, the "deal" still cost $198. I was willing to live with that, but the person who cleaned the fireplaces said the chimney was not safe and needed costly repairs. I contacted the chimney cleaning company I used last year and had him do an inspection ($79). He said that, while the chimney could use waterproofing, it is safe and does not need any immediate repairs. Also, the "needed repairs" would cost significantly less if done by last year's chimney sweep. Furthermore, he said Murphy's did not do a proper job of cleaning the chimneys. My tenant said the technician knew the house was rented through Salem Housing Authority and I feel they were trying to take advantage knowing I could not pass Housing inspection without a clean bill of health from the chimney sweep. Not only did it not need repair, but it wasn't cleaned properly and I had to pay an additional $79 for an inspection. I will be asking for a refund so that I can get it properly cleaned.

Casey (I think that was his name) came out this morning to clean the chimney for our wood stove. He was prompt, courteous, and hard working the whole time he was here. During the process of cleaning my chimney, he pointed out several issues that I should have looked into (i.e. flashing missing, etc). After cleaning the chimney, he did a great job of cleaning out the wood stove and surrounding area. Did the whole job in about 90 minutes.

Excellent service. Casey arrived on time, was friendly and professional. Advised me of additional work that could be done but let me know that none of it was imperative. I really appreciated his honesty. I would highly recommend this company.

It wasn't as well as I would have liked. They were not able to go up on the roof to check out the chimney up there because of the ice. He had to do all the cleaning and inspection from inside the house. There were no additional fees. Everything else was fine. I had a little bit of a trouble scheduling them because of the "Big Deal."
