Extremely well. The person who came was very open to questions, answered them all, explained how the fireplace worked and more.

He appeared to vacuum the fireplace, but when I looked inside, the fireplace is still coated with spiderwebs and ash. I even found old garbage (from previous owners) in the fireplace. So much for cleaning. I paid $99 for an inspection and log arrangement, I guess. Unfortunately the main part of what I needed was the cleaning. I also had to call to inquire as to why I had not been contacted regarding my online scheduling requests.

On the date agreed for service the technician arrived 2 hours early and the fireplace was still hot and the service had to be rescheduled. This was understandable as we had a lot of bad weather at the time and a lot of things were off schedule. However when service was performed the technician had limited knowledge of the fireplace (Green Smart) and was unable to troubleshoot a series of warning beeps I had been having with the unit. Subsequent to the service the problem got worse with pilot light and remote control issues. When I called their office to report the problem they seemed confused about the problem and wanted to know the serial number of the unit (I didn't know and still don't know this). They said they would try and find someone to work on it, but I never heard back. Eventually I managed to track down a technician who had worked on the unit in the past who found that misplaced logs and kibble were blocking air flow to the pilot light and contributing to the problem. I think Murphy's is primarily a chimney service company and this is not their area of expertise. I downgraded them further due to their lack of response to my reporting of problems.

They were great. They showed up. They were prompt. They did what they said they were going to do. They were reasonable.

He cleaned the fireplace and did a quote on what it would cost to fix chimney. He did what was expected.

Difficulty contacting them. Had no idea when they would show up or leave. Worker injury and illness. Job not completed as proposed.

The serviceperson from Murphy's Fireplace & Stoves was very friendly and helpful and provided clear information about our chimney.

The logs were reset, were not allowing the flame to come thru. That was very much appreciated. Only negative, there was a spider eggs/web on corner that was not cleaned off, though the glass was completely taken off. I had to remove later and vacuum. So would give a C on thoroughness.

Well. The service was completed professionally and I learned some things about my fireplace.

Good. Only concern was it was icy out and they could not get on the roof. It concerned me that a full inspection may not have been able to happen.

Job well done! Looking forward to using their services again.

It was great. He was here on time and cleaned up the fireplace. It looks like brand new fireplace.

The tech, Alex, did a very thorough job, and was kind and patient enough to show me different parts and pieces of the fireplace that I wasn't familiar with. He was also great at troubleshooting on the spot; making my cracked and less-than-ideal faux log setup workable again. I would definitely work with Murphy's Fireplace and Stove again.

This was not a success story. Because of the combination of an apparently successful promotion & winter weather, there was a month's delay in scheduling an appointment. Mr. Sanders worked for approximately an hour, had a number of phone consultations -- and finally decided he would need to schedule another appointment. Had left a tool/meter? in another vehicle. A week later he tried again, but determined he'd have to do more extensive work. Thought it might involve removing & checking a coil (maybe an additional $75 cost?)....or if not that, maybe replacing a valve ($300?). I was reluctant to agree to unknown repairs & costs, and hired another company who was able to diagnose the problem and correct quickly..

Great work and he gave me options to upgrade my fireplace.

Henry arrived on time and was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything and answered all questions. He checked everything and corrected a few things. He also cleaned the glass, and cleaned up the work area when he was done. It was fast and educational!

They did a very good job. I was very pleased with what he did.

Did tune-ups on 2 fireplaces. Went fine, though one need a part replaced, so unfortunately fireplace will need additional work.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. The chimney is small and access to the roof was easy, so the service was completed in about 40 minutes. Well done.

The technician arrived on time. We had both of our gas fireplaces cleaned and serviced, and they both were sparkling clean after the cleaning.

Their team came out and did an excellent job!

Great. We couldn't get the pilot light to stay lit and thought it might just need a cleaning. In doing the cleaning, it was noticed a screw was loose and upon tightening that screw, our tech resolved that problem. Nice, clean, functioning fireplace now!

Missed some spots. We had to call so sealing wouldn't be done before job complete A second group arrived. Mortar was a different color. Another group arrived. Fixed mortar. Sealing equipment was faulty. We loaned them our sprayer to complete the job.

They were timely in arrival, focused in their service, more than helpful in offering ideas to address issues, and willing to correct/resolve any problems/concerns we had.
