Description of Work: We had a sewer pipe plug/collapse between our house and the city line in the street. They arrived within 20 minutes of my call (great!). Because of the severity of the issue, it took them two days to fix the problem, but everything they did was top drawer. It was expensive, but had to be done, so the cost just was what it was. Overall, very professional, friendly, informative and timely.

Description of Work: They were hired to fix a broken pipe in the septic drain field. Due to bee problems they were only able to uncover the pipe because the bees stung the repairman several times. After we killed the yellow jacket next the company never responded to several attempts to contact them to finish the job. The total cost would have been $1400. I paid $700 to dig a hole.

Description of Work: Our sewer line collapsed. These guys came out within 20 minutes of being called, diagnosed the problem, called in the help they needed, contacted the city for permits and inspectors, and fixed everything within 2 days!

Description of Work: Emergency for stopped up toilet. The vendor was prompt, price was fair and reasonable. I will definitely keep Mr. Rooter on my vendor list.

Description of Work: We only had them do an estimate on future work. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the person doing the estimate. He outlined prices clearly, and gave me options for parts of the labor that I might do myself to save money. |Overall, I thought the prices were a bit high, but really have nothing to compare them to so that I can be sure. When we are ready to have the work done, we will call Mr. Rooter back.

Description of Work: They replaced a toilet. I felt as though they rushed my decision of which toilet I wanted, did not give me much of a selection and charged too much.

Description of Work: My renter called on a Saturday afternoon stating the toliet was backing up into the bathtub. I went down and determined it was beyond my expertise and called Mr. Rooter who sent someone over. He took a look, gave an estimate and called me when he finished. He had identified the problem as baby wipes which our renters acknowledged since they were working to potty train their 2 yr. old. We paid him $377.91 Problem solved... I thought. Within a couple hours the renter called again stating the problem wasn't fixed. We called Mr. Rooter back and they sent someone over the next Tuesday. It was starting to get weird here as there were numerous diagnoses offered, I guess trying to convince us it was another problem, but he did clear the line. He insisted on collecting another fee however - $259.66. I submitted a complaint to Mr. Rooter regarding two fees to complete the task as well as professionalism issues with the second worker. They insisted that the service was provided and they were not responcible it the problem wasn't eliminated but would get back to us. We didn't hear from them for a month and I called again to inquire and repeat the my concerns. They called later that day and offerred to reimburse $100 which I accepted with dissappointment feeling this still resulted in an excessive charge. (I was admittedly irritable and threatened to complain further - poor choice) That was was three weeks ago now and there has been no refund. Oh yeah, the Yellow Pages ad also states if you mention the add you can get $20 off - that didn't happen either.
