 + -1 moreWe have used Judson's for nearly 30 years. Always available; usually prompt; always good work. Sometimes a little on the expensive side, but not unreasonably so. Reliable for both plumbing and electrical work. They have gotten us fixtures, such as an unusual tile-in kitchen sink, that are not available elsewhere, also.
Description of Work: We had circuit breaker that tripped, wouldn't re-set. Judson's couldn't come out for a week, but when they did, they quickly determined that the problem was not in the circuit box, or in the wiring, but traced the problem to a hidden GFI outlet circuit-breaker. We re-set the GFI and everything was working again.

 + -1 moreWe had just moved into our new home--previous owners had a gas dryer, but showed us that there was also an electrical hook-up. However, there was no juice coming from the dryer outlet. The electrician had to do much more than we initially thought, including crawling up in our attic space on a 96 degree day! He rearranged his schedule, coming in when he should have had the afternoon off, and stayed two hours later than he was expected, and didn't charge us for the extra time! He changed our dryer cord, too. Just the nicest people at Judson's--from the schedulers to the plumbers and electricians! It's quality and professionalism at its best!

When 4:30 pm arrived and no repairman, I called the company to find out that they did not have a record of my appointment.

 + -1 moreIT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR. I made an appointment 3 weeks or more in advance, and was given a 9:00 AM appointment on a Tuesday. The day before I was called to see if the bidder could come at 8:00 AM. I said yes. I was told that they would call in the morning to say they were on their way out. I called at 8:15 to see if anyone was coming and was told I was not on the list and no one would be coming. I said I had an appointment confirmed the day before. Mike at Judson's said I wasn't on the list and that Tom probably called the on Monday and didn't get an answer so he wasn't coming. By now, I was really mad and said that I wanted to speak with the owner or manager. Mike said "You do not sound like the kind of customer we want" and hung up on me. I called back and asked for Mr. Judson. I re-explained the problem and said they had poor customer service and poor communications. I was MAD! He replied I was not their kind of customer!
Description of Work: I had scheduled an appointment for providing estimate on re-piping because of lead in the water. Judson's had done other work for me in my remodel.
