I found Judson's to be an efficient and professional company. Kevin, the electrician was on-time and offered helpful advice about wiring needs. I would highly recommend this company again.

I tried to get them to come out and give us an estimate but they really gave me the run around saying I shouldn't get the estimate and I should consider having them come out and do the work without it. I said that "I thought the estimate was free" and he said "Yes, but Mr. Judson doesn't want me to drive the big truck and give estimates that are low." Wow, what a terrible way to get business. I will try another company.

Again, this includes a number of times they were here for a variety of things. I think they were very good. The only thing I will complain about is that they are very expensive. They are known for being expensive. Also, I have paid overtime because they had to come on a Saturday, which really drove the price up.

I purchased a new GE Profile Convection Range with Temperature Probe which required "Replaced range breaker and outlet. Installed cord cap to range." This is my first experience with Judson's and am extremely pleased with the service man and their whole company. I called them about 8/16/10 about the bill and the reply was that the owner checks every bill and the bill was then received 8/19/10 which I paid 8/24/10. I would use Judson's services again and have requested the same service man work on all future jobs.

Our dishwasher was overflowing, and we did as much research as we could on our own to try and fix it to no avail. The technician from Judson's was very nice, and prompt. In his initial inspection, he could not determine what was causing the problem. He recommended the dishwasher be taken to the shop so they could inspect it more thoroughly. We realized this would increase the price of the repair but we were amenable and the estimate was reasonable. As the tech was pulling the machine out of the cabinet, he noticed a barely visible white bunch of gunk in the drain tube. We ourselves couldn't see it, he had to point it out to us. He COULD have just said nothing, taken the machine to the shop, and charged us a ton of money, but he was honest and pointed out the easy-to-fix problem right away. We never did figure out what that white gunk in there was, but when he cut the tube open, we could clearly see that it was the cause of the problem. He ordered a new part for us and it was received and installed promptly. I highly recommend Judson's for their honest and quick service.

We were not able to get Judson's "A team" because of scheduling conflicts, so we got plumbers who would probably have been fine for a tract house, but could not do custom work. Pipes have burst requiring plaster walls to be cut through, cheap faucets off the truck leak, shower risers were installed backwards. We have had what Judson's call the "Experts" back to repair various damages, and they are excellent. A kind of Rube Goldberg contraption was installed in our field too close to a telephone pole, which has caused leaks about five winters in a row... a very cold, muddy repair. We now leave the access ditch open. I'm not sure if anyone at Judson's can do farm plumbing, To summarize: Use only Judson's best plumbers. Check to see that they have materials available of appropriate quality for the remodel job. Do not use them at all for farm plumbing. I do all my business with George Morlan.

They were prompt and friendly, but it did take coordinating both the plumber and the electrician (two separate trips over two days). We are quite satisfied with the work, but felt their charges were a bit higher than average. But they do guarantee their work, and have very good recommendations from friends and from other Angie's List members.

Repairman came and summed up the problem and gave me 2 alternatives. After I made the decision he gave me an estimate. Which I approved and he immediately replaced the faucet.

Service call was made quickly and adjusted to fit my schedule. They were on-time and completed the work quickly. All my questions were answered completely. Very satisfied with the service.

the stub ups were done correctly, however, they did not read the plans & specs - and installed the wrong toilet. It was caught on the day they did the work and they replaced the toilet with the correct one the next day - however they ruined the new sheet vinyl flooring - and did not mention it to the contractor or to us (we were not living in the house during construction). We did not find this mess until after we moved in, two months later. There were so many other things wrong with the General Contractor's job, that we were busy fixing other things with many call-backs and did not find this until it was too late and we were all exhausted. Can NOT recommend Judson (was a sub on this job). They also did not inspect the old plumbing that they were connecting to before hand. This was not part of the required work, but it would have been appreciated and paid for if they had. They could have given us a heads up that we could expect problems (which we did until the collapsed orangeburg sewer line was replaced a year later - by others).

We've used them for 25 years. They are exceptional and have always done a great job for us. They have good customer service and they come on the same day. They return calls and are very efficient. Their prices are a little higher, but you are kind of guaranteed that it will be a good job. We will definitely continue to use their service.

They did a great job. I have an older home, and I have a mix of knob and tube and new wiring and they made recommendations on where to put junction boxes and what I needed to replace right now, as far as what was hazardous and what wasn't. The electrician went as far as to call the electric company, PG, to remove my neighbors wiring from my back yard. I have had trouble with doing that. The electrician was able to have it removed by the next day. I think for the price and other bids I had received, I ended up getting more for the money with this company. I will use this company again in the future.

They are a tried and true company. They always come when they say that they will. They are very thorough. They sent a young man out to repair my toilet. When he looked at my toilet he just looked at me and said that he had not seen anything like it in his training. They called out an older apprentice and they hunkered over the toilet for about two hours. I did not have to pay for the service, because it was done by an apprentice. They are not inexpensive, however I know where they live and the bill does not come right away. They have an old fashioned office where people answer the phones.

I choose this company because they were well-known in the city. They were pretty costly for the work they do but the quality is good. Their responsiveness is great along with their professionalism. I will continue to use this company again in the future.

The appointment with the plumber from Judson's was made promptly and he was on time. It turned out a rather expensive part was needed for the designer faucet set I had put in only 3 years ago. I was able to get a replacement part for free from the manufacturer. When that arrived, the Judson plumber came back to my home and installed the new part. That was almost 5 months ago and everything has worked well since.

I had called another company over the weekend nearly a month before. Their man talked me out of a service call by raising the price each time he mentioned it as I asked questions. I called Judsons the next time I had a morning off because I had used them before and were pleased with their customer service and responsiveness. They sent someone out within a few hours. In about 2 minutes, he diagnosed the problem. He advised me that it would take a day or two to get the part in from the manufacturer and he would call as soon as it came in to schedule installation. It did come in, but he called on our home phone which no one pays attention to, so it was 4 days before we got it installed. He was on time and the installation is perfect. He tested it before he left. I'm pleased to have my heat pump working again--just the electric furnace is expensive to heat with. I don't have the final bill yet (they mail the bill after they have done the work), but based on previous experience, it will be exactly what he quoted me.

They were excellent. I would hire them again. I had gotten other quotes that were considerably higher than theirs.

They looked at it and it was just going to be so expensive I decided not to do it. They still charged me.

This is a reliable and reputable company. I have used them before and have always been pleased with their service. They do what they say and come within a reasonable amount of time.

Their are a long, established company. They have done several large jobs for me and I've always been satisfied with the services they have provided. I haven't had any problems, or if I did, they always take care of it right away. They are a little pricey, but worth the services I receive.

The guy that came to wire our kitchen also helped my husband with some other installations that we were doing. He did this just to help out and was not the reason he was here. I thought that was very nice. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

They do good work. They guarantee their work. They make an appointment and show up on time. I will continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

Although pipes were exposed they said there may be unseen issues and bid $1,500. Gagles performed the job in about two hours and charged $350 as they quoted. They should have just said the job was too small instead of overbidding it.
