Response from Day Heating Co
Member, We appreciate that you gave Day Heating an opportunity to look at your project. I apologize that we were not able to meet your timing expectations – the influx of cold weather caused many of our customers to have issues and need our help in replacing their systems. We try to get to everyone as quickly as possible. Your comments indicate you may have us confused with one of the other companies you contacted. Gary (the system designer who met you for the 8:00 am appointment) said that during the appointment you commented about heating and cooling issues you had experienced with the existing system. In order to be able to recommend corrections (as part of the project) to eliminate these issues, he did a full exterior measure-up of the home (upstairs and down), collected register and grille information from each room of the house, collected electric panel information in the garage and even went into the crawl space as part of his investigation. After running the home performance calculations, he sent you an email giving you a status update and letting you know we were waiting on pricing on the package unit (from our supplier). It was late on the 7th (the same day as your appointment) that Gary received an email from you stating you couldn’t wait and had already selected a different contractor. Based on this information, Gary filed the calculations and did not complete a proposal (as there would have been no point). Since we were not able to issue a proposal, I’m not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that Day Heating was “way too much money”. Day Heating strives to operate with integrity and high quality standards. Using quality materials and equipment, providing skilled, factory trained installation and obtaining the required permits are just a few of the practices we employ. Often this does not make us the least expensive contractor, but for the value provided we are extremely competitive. Again, I’m sorry we weren’t able to meet your timing expectations. Jim Day Heating
