Since I have been using Quiet Pleasures for a while it has been really easy to get an estimate and schedule the work. Joe calls to remind me that it is time to prune, he comes out gives me a price for the work to be done then goes to work. He always asks for my opinion for the overall form of the trees.
Description of Work: I have been using Joe for several years to do specialty pruning of small to medium ornamental trees.

Very easy. Joe gives you a firm price for every tree or shrub that he prunes. There are no surprises. It can take him several hours just to prune one ornamental tree, but the results are fantastic. Joe is also meticulous about cleaning up the work site.
Description of Work: Joe is an artist with pruning shears. He can take an ordinary or moppy ornamental tree and make it into a thing of beauty. We are delighted with the results. The only other trees I've seen that are pruned as beautifully are those at the Japanese Gardens. If you have ornamental trees or large woody shrubs (for instance, older rhododendruns) in your garden and are willing to pay for the best, I highly recommend Quiet Pleasures.

We were satisfied with the overall process. Mr. Sanders is a thorough and detailed gardener. His eye for color and garden structure lead to good suggestions for improvement of our gardens. We did not implement everything he suggested but largely took his advice and were happy that we did.
Description of Work: We owned a large urban lot with several gardens that had gotten overgrown and ugly. Mr. Sanders corrected that problem for us. He started with a review of the situation and an estimate of what it would cost to beautify the garden areas. Once we agreed on the scope of work, he systematically renewed the gardens one by one. His suggestions to remove a small number of plants, install a few new ones, and move some existing hardscapes made a big difference in the appearance of the grounds around our home.

I DO NOT PRUNE FULL SIZE TREES REQUIRING GOING UP INTO TREE WITH ROPES OR USING A CHIPPER TO CUT UP LARGE BRANCHES. ONLY PRUNE SPECIALTY TREES UP TO APPROX. 20 FEET IN HEIGHT.
