I was thrilled to find a local company on Angie's List with such high ratings. From the moment I called the company I knew why they were rated so high. My initial conversation with Barb was very courteous and professional. She then passed me to Marc who answered my basic questions. He was able to quickly schedule an appointment for an in home consultation. He also scheduled the installation day in case we approved the bid. He was on time, was really informative about security systems, and explained the company s history. He went over all the options. He answered all of our questions and concerns. We never felt we were being sold more than we needed and the great thing is that we can add to the system in the future should our security needs change. After walking around the house inside and out, Marc wrote up the bid on the spot. And, based on all the information, all of our options, the company s history, the level of customer service that we received, we approved the bid. We did have a few days before the scheduled installation, which gave us some time to make any necessary changes to the plan. We did make changes and notified Marc of those changes the morning of the installation. Brent and John showed up on time, were both courteous, professional and detail orientated. They asked me my opinion about where we d like certain things installed, and then gave me their professional advice. This was a very painless experience. I am happy to recommend them to anyone looking for an alarm system installed by a great local company.

Marc came to the house to see what was required. After I approved the bid, the alarm system was installed within days. While they were installing the alarms, I decided to have the smoke alarm installed, which they did at the same time. When I called with questions I had regarding the operation of the system, Marc returned the next day to go over them again and to make the changes that I requested to better fit my needs.

Marc was able to squeeze me in to come over and give me an estimate the same day that I initially called him, due to a crime spree in our neighborhood that had me on edge. The actual work was done about a week later, but Marc had given me a yard sign and window stickers to put up in the meantime. On the day of the installation, Marc was here to get the two installers situated. Though I've forgotten their names, the two men installing the system were very professional, nice, fast, tidy, and conscientious of the fact that we have three indoor-only cats, as well as three dogs that had to stay in the yard. It only took them a couple (2-3?) hours to install the system.

It went very well. I'm not a fast or good typer...but the gist is we were burglarized while out of town. I found the company on Angie's List while in CA. Mark was informative and very very helpful. He came over and did an estimate and put some stickers on the doors and signs in the yard even before we were home to scare off any return invaders. The install people were courteous and ontime...and Mark is very big on follow up. The price was way cheaper than the big names with 24 hour service. Top Notch!

I really do not think it could of gone better. The crew was clean and communicated well.

Both Marc and Brent are very personable, good guys, and they're both very good at what they do. They were punctual at every step of the way, and came back to complete the installation when they realized we had yet to activate our telephone service (we'd just moved in) at no additional charge. Brent went the extra mile walking my wife and I (separately, since we weren't both home the same day) through the console controls (not simply referring us to the manual), and customized the alarm set-up to do exactly what we wanted. The ONLY negative criticism I can think of is that they were out of yard signs, so we're still waiting on that. But they did give us many stickers for the windows.

I can t say enough about how easy it was to work with Mark and his team. When I called to schedule an estimate, Mark was able to arrive the next day. He was extremely thorough and approached the project as though it was his own home. He was concerned with how the security equipment would look in the house and figured out ways to preserve the aesthetics of the house without sacrificing security. Mark did not try to sell me anything I did not want, had the best price, was sincerely concerned that I was happy with the system and was extremely flexible with payment options. He even added an extra key fob, no charge. I highly recommend Portland Security.

Great. Originally used them 8-10 years ago for alarm system. Totally remodeled house 3-4 years later which required revamping/adding to system. Then added to that system when we finished our basement. Each time Marc advised me on available setups/options, but never tried to sell me something I didn't need. He gave me a discount on hardware with the last addition-essentially sold me the sensors for cost. Easy to schedule installs, and they worked around the contractor's schedule. John did installations each time, so knew my system and preferences, and he's just as pleasant to work with. When I had a glitch in programming, John came over in the evening to fix-took him all of 45 seconds. They do my monitoring each month, are fairly easy to contact if there are issues. I highly recommend this locally owned company, and have only good things to say about them.

Following a weekend burglary at our home we called Portland Security due in part to reports found on Angie's list. Marc came out Monday noon to see what we needed. Since the home is under construction I wanted a temporary wireless system only for the house and a permanent hard wired system for the workshop. He quoted the job while on site and said it would be about a week to start. He later said given the circumstances he could put two men on it the next day. The men completed the work the following day, the system works great, the guys were efficient and well trained and Marc was a delight to work with. Price was excellent for the service provided. I'll be using them again for the permanent system for the house when it's done and highly recommend this company. Very easy to work with.

I was kept up to date on expected time of employee. He was informative, polite, and suggested things that I could do myself to avoid having to have a service person come again. The work done was done at a reasonable price.

Marc came out to our home and did a walkthrough to see what we needed to protect our house and belongings. He did not try to sell us something we did not need. He provided a couple of estimates both very reasonable. He was very polite and courteous. John and Brent were the installers and they were extremely knowlegeable, polite and friendly. They did an exceptional job of installation and cleaning up after themselves. We would hire again and refer this company to our friends and family.

WHEN I BURN SOMETHING IN THE OVEN, THEY CALL US UP AND SEE IF EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT. THEY ALSO CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IF THEY CAN'T GET AHOLD OF SOMEBODY. ONCE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN AND AN INSECT WENT PAST OUR MOTION DETECTOR. THEY CALLED OUR SON TO COME AND MAKE SURE SOMEONE DIDN'T BREAK IN BEFORE THEY CALLED THE POLICE. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE.
