Portland Movers Ready

Guys showed up on time and got right to work. Packed all of my stuff like a big Tetris game, got it all in one load. Finished the job in exactly 2 hours so I didn't have to pay extra, and nothing was damaged, not even a scratch. Will definately use them again if needed.

These guys were fantastic! I had a completely packed U-Hual that needed unloading on a very hot Portland day. They didn't even bat an eye and we had a flight of stairs to go down before we could go up to the second floor apartment. They were a bit late, but called saying they were caught up in traffic. They were efficient, considerate of my belongings and overall delightful to work with. I was so happy to tip them well afterwords. They were very appreciative and I was happy to be done with the U-Haul. I will definitely hire them again.

Jesus and Martin were late but apologized and they were models of polite knowledgable professions. Efficient, absolute perfectionists, no strong cologne, shoes wiped at the door. I aaas ready to adopt them both. I would usue these services without qualification, just make sure they get time and date right. Once they start the work you are in great hands and as we get older will hire them again without hesitation.

I paid for 2 movers for 2 hours, but was frustrated that I then had to pay for the truck. I could understand if I had contracted for packers, not movers. Apparently the wording in the ad is set by Angie's List?! The guys that came were prompt, professional and efficient. I would use them again.

The guys were there early, worked very hard, and were very friendly. Only downside was that they were not as tidy in loading my storage area as I would have liked. But, overall, it was a great value for the price and I would use them again.

These guys were great...promptly responded to email, on time the day of and got the job done quickly despite the 100 degree heat, steep drive way and multiple staircases. In less than two hours, they moved all the furniture from our third floor family room to the garage and moved all the furniture and boxes from the POD on the street to the house or garage. They were careful, professional and fast...what more could you want!

Scheduled services and the company confirmed the time and date and then failed to show up. Later tried to claim that they were unaware of the service time and date.

All went smoothly, no bumps or scratches. Friendly and professional service.

Two Portland Movers Ready movers arrived on time with a hand truck. They helped us load furniture and some household items into a U-Haul truck and then unload the truck at our new home. The furniture included a couple of beds, a couch, bookcases, some tables, chairs, etc. The movers were professional and efficient. We will definitely use Portland Movers Ready again.

Moved larger items (loveseat, drafting table, desk, bed, etc.) around in the house. Some of the items were moved either to the upper level of the house OR down to the lower level. The two guys were very proficient and professional. They were pleasant too. I would definitely hire them again and will recommend them to others.

Both movers were very friendly and professional. They completed moving the furniture and boxes in less time than expected! And, they were very careful in handling the items.

They were great, it was perfect. It took them an hour to do what it took my friend and I four hours to get done.

We didn't end up using the Big Deal because I didn't realize when I purchased the Big Deal that they don't provide their own truck.

3 guys is the best size to hire -- one stays in the truck and plays Jenga while the other two carry in stuff. Space in the uHaul was maximized. Work went quickly, started at 9am and done in early afternoon. Nothing broke. The 3 guys were all professional. I would recommend.

They were very courteous and professional. They had all the necessary equipment, including dollies, blankets, straps, and human-forklift type rigging for the really heavy stuff. I suggested that they go ahead and use the hand-truck for the heavy items and they told me that because we had hard-wood floors, they would just carry the items. These guys worked like machines and were very polite. They were a little slower than previous movers, however it was due to the care that they took while loading our truck. When they unloaded they did it very quickly. Also, considering the price for their service, it ended up being less expensive over-all since we already had the truck rented. I would definitely use them again if, shudder the thought, we ever move again.

First of all let me comment on the men that performed the work: The guys that came out to move things from the garage to the house and basement worked hard and quickly. Nothing was broken and from what I can tell scratched or dented. They were pleasant, well mannered and followed my directions. They carried some very heavy stuff with ease. They took a door off it's hinges and replaced it before they left. They brought their own tools and gloves. The only negative for them was that they were about 20 minutes late for my 8 am appointment time. They did call to let me know. Now for the company: I will not use them again. This is not a reflection of the two men who did the work, they get an and quot;Aand quot; and I am very satisfied with their work. But the following is a refection on the lack of professionalism of the company and why I rated them so poorly. I purchased the service Monday 6/9/14. Portland Movers Ready contacted me through Angie's list messages as follows: Here is the response I received from my order being places. I had listed dates of Tuesday and Wednesday.: Portland Movers Ready 7 hours ago all dates and times work. please send date, start time. and quot;Portland Movers Ready 7 hours ago i need phone # also Here is my response to that message: Julia 7 hours ago Today at 3 pm would work for me. (Tuesday) Thanks.and quot; According to his messages I expected them at 3pm on 6/10/14 When they were not here I called them. I spoke to a male answering the business number and in the conversation he told me he schedules the appointments, When I explained why I was calling he told me I was not scheduled for that date and time. I told him about the messages and that he had stated any of the dates and times work and asked what date and time I wanted. He then started to tell me that he doesn't check 3rd party emails often through out the day and that this work was never scheduled because they did not see my message back to them - because they don't check their emails often. Mind you this was already after 3 in the afternoon. He was huffy on the phone and not apologetic at all about what had happen. He offered to come out at 8am tomorrow (Wednesday) and when we were trying to get that arranged, I mentioned that all of this would effect the rating I give them on Angie's List and he became all huffy again and stated he didn't know if he wanted to come out now, since I was going to give him some negatives on his review. Then, he hung up on me. Here is the message I received after the phone call: and quot;Portland Movers Ready 18 hours ago ok sorry 3pm didnt work today. for same day service, direct contact, and instantaneous info relay, please call or text 503 953 6537. i only check and send emails and 3rd party lines of communication a few times a day. i have you scheduled for 8am tomorrow wednsday june 11th. will be there.and quot; If this would have been stated in the first message to me, I would have called them and this whole ordeal would have been adverted. So, I would suggest that these movers need to be more professional in the business dealings via phone contact, hire an office person that has great customer skills to do all the communications for them, get a cell phone they can check their email messages on and check often so as to respond to prospective clients quickly, and, when things mess up, try to do everything possible to make it right with the customer and be genuinely apologetic about the mess ups. I can't rate them highly - which the two guys deserved - but, because of the issues with getting the work scheduled and the attitude of the person handling the phone conversation. I will not use this company again and I will not recommend them to anyone.

Excellent! Hard-working, friendly, skilled moving professionals. We were so satisfied that we re-hired Portland Movers Ready to place all furniture back into rooms once remodel was complete. These professionals were happy to help in any way they could and they went above-and-beyond. I highly recommend Portland Movers Ready.

This company was absolutely incredible. Not only did they text me ahead of time to confirm the job, I got an email as well. The two movers were Jesus and Martin and they worked carefully and quickly. Not one thing was broken. They showed up on time, hustled up and down the ramp to the floating home and did an amazing job getting everything into the truck. They even made room to pick up a huge desk from my office on the way to the new house. Turns out we need to move our furniture again next month as the floors are being redone. These guys were so good, I would alter MY schedule to make a moving date work for them.

I couldn't ask for more. The two movers sent were friendly yet professional, careful and unloaded my household items fast.

We have used Portland Movers twice before to move furniture around in our house. They were fine for this work. Unfortunately for us, they were not fine to load trucks for a long distance move. We have never had so much damaged furniture in a move. Chairs turned upside down with the tops broken off, scratches on almost all of our furniture, couches dirty from being placed on the truck floor without the pads and shrink wrap we provided. We started with a 4 man crew. They were half hour late but did call. One guy walked off the job as he had a personal issue, leaving us with 3 men to load a large house. The 3 men did work hard, but the job was really over their head. We called the owner a couple times as we were concerned how the loading was going, but he said they were trained and to trust that they will do a good job. Toward the end of the day, 2 more men showed up but the last hour a couple of the guys were sitting around and talking more than working. We moved almost 1000 miles away, where we had an excellent company unload for us. They wrapped many of our items that Portland Movers did not wrap in moving pads so they could remove them from the truck safely. I would not recommend Portland Movers to load trucks.

The movers were well trained in stacking the items in the moving truck to fit all items in. They came in and viewed all items and quickly made a plan for the move. They worked very fast and was able to get all items in the truck, moved to the new location and set up bedroom furniture in the 2 hour time frame. Very happy with the results. Regards, Deana
