Metro Lock Service

I called Lance to schedule the work, and he called me back within a few hours to confirm that he received my message and that he would call me back when he was done with his field work. He called me back as promised, and it was easy to make an appointment. He was punctual, polite, professional, did not scare my cat, and he got the work done efficiently. There is a $65 service call fee (which he split between my neighbor and me - sweet!) , $12.50 to change out locks (keep in mind this is per lock, so if you have a door knob lock and a deadbolt in one door, this is two locks), and $3 per key (first two are free!). Very happy with the work. Highly recommend

Scheduling was very easy. The two locksmiths showed up right on time. They were very professional and got right to work. The new locks and keys work great.

I cannot begin to describe how professional Lance was. I had locked myself out of my home office. Not only that, I was out of town on business, so I was not at home. I called Lance and he made a special trip to my home after hours just to find out my house sitter found the spare key and unlocked the door. When I spoke to Lance he said there would be no charge. So not only did he come to my home around 6pm, he did not charge me for the visit. I was quite surprised and very impressed. I will definitely refer him to any of my friends who need his services.

As a former service contractor myself, I know when a contractor goes above and beyond. Not only did Lance repair my broken lever but he checked the operation and lubed the rest of the door and deadbolt components. He showed up on time, He called before arriving, and he was swift and knowledgable about the repair. These days you dont always get great service, but Lance checked off every box of a great service provider. Thank you!

When I originally called, I was quoted a service charge of $29, plus a labor fee which was to be determined. The started at $19, but would increase based on the labor performed. Due to the simple nature of this job, I was told that the total charge would be ~$50. The serviceman arrived promptly, but after evaluating the job, he told me that the final charge would be $189, and that it would take approximately 5-10 minutes of labor. I was baffled as to why the charge was so high, given the original amount I was quoted on the phone, as well as the minimal amount of labor involved. The serviceman called his boss and after several minutes agreed to lower the fee to $100. I appreciated his efforts, but was still frustrated that 5 minutes of labor would cost me $100. Furthermore, in the process of unlocking the door, the serviceman chipped part of the door, but failed to tell me about it. Rather, I noticed it after he left. He also failed to reassemble the door handle.

I'm writing this review late; I had some work done (last year?) and couldn't remember who I used. Being extremely satisfied with the prier work, I wanted to use the same company again. It was driving me crazy I couldn't remember who it was! Luckily, I found their business card-what a relief. I recommend them-last time, they performed work that needed to be done without charging me extra. Excellent company! Would/will use them again!

Excellent. I told him, with my old house, he may be my new best friend. He was responsive to the message I left to schedule the appointment, timely with the appointment, fast, explanatory and professional.

I called and spoke to the owner who told me he could come out the next day on a Holiday weekend no less! I was delighted! The owner arrived on time the day the service was to take place. He had an employee with him and I showed him which locks I would like rekeyed. They were able to complete all three along with 5 key copies within 15 minutes and at a price that was jaw-dropping reasonable! I would re-hire in a heartbeat and I have already shared their services with many of my friends. Thank you!!!

Arrived on schedule; professional, quick, done in 20 minutes. Appreciated that they were able to repair rather than replace.

Lance was very responsive. He came over within half an hour of the time I called and fixed the problem. He had to replace the deadbolt and do a little drilling to make it work correctly. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He was quick, clean and very professional. I will recommend Metro to others, and use Metro again myself. Excellent service.

Service was excellent. Lance was flexible with my schedule, prompt, efficient, and was able to repair a door I was having trouble with as a bonus. Metro Lock will definitely be my first call when I need locksmith services in the future.

Great. Replaced 3 locks, a doorknob, adjusted lock mechanism and fixed a door that barely closed for years.

Lance was great! Just can't say enough good things about him. I called him in the morning and he was able to fit me in THAT day. We had a different locksmith stand us up the day before, so it was refreshing to see him only a few hours after the call. He was really reasonably priced. We rekeyed all of our house locks and combined several to reduce the total number of keys. He was fast and professional. I would definitely recommend him.

First off: locksmith rates very considerably! It is worth your time to get estimates beyond the reviews you see here on Angie's List, especially if the review does not list cost and number of locks keyed. Metro Lock was significantly cheaper than the others I researched. We had 5 exterior door locks (cylinders) that needed to be re-keyed. The price was $220 lower than another business with A ratings and "deals" on Angie's List. Metro Lock works fast, are responsive, and do great work with no hidden fees. Would definitely hire again.

Lance and his colleague were excellent! Arrived on time, very efficient and professional, and even did a little extra adjustment on the door to make it align better. Will hire again if I need locksmith services for sure!
