Description of Work: Darby Sargent guided us through the task of picking out all of the solid surfaces and hardware needed for out new home. We met in the design studio for new home buyers for Garrette Homes. In a 4 hour appt we picked hardwood floors, tile, carpet, cabinets, light fixtures and plumbing hardware. She was amazing.

Description of Work: Place laminate over hardwood floors that had been under the carpet. I had a major company scheduled to do this. When they tore out the carpet the hardwood had too much moisture in it. The other company was no help and would proceed until it was fixed. I called around places for months then found Macadams Flooring. They came out quickly provided and easy simple resolution and quote. As soon as the laminate came in they installed it within the week. Friendly people. Great service. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: I was looking for a particular color of Caesarstone. I thought I needed approximately 30 sq ft. I was told they couldn't sell that small of a piece, but would have to sell the whole slab. Macadam referred me to Galaxy for remnant. Later I learned I would need a whole slab. Galaxy quoted $3400. | |Because, I would need a full slab, I went back to Macadam, as I preferred to keep my business local. Their quote was $4600. Would I mentioned that was over a thousand dollars more than Galaxy, the guy stated "well, we really don't recommend Galaxy. Their work has really gone downhill." I reminded him that he was the one who referred me to Galaxy to begin with!! | |I ended up going back to Galaxy and got an extra $500 off for sitting in an hr long sales pitch by a neighboring company. All told, I paid $2,900 for Caesarstone instead of $4,600 at Macadam. My work with Galaxynwas seamless. |

Description of Work: Workers arrived promptly and worked well.They did not put everything back in place, and they did not install the wooden register covers that I expected. I also learned from another customer that the prices are negotiable and that I paid (she thought) too much. I wanted a bid on kitchen counters. A woman was sent out to measure, but I never received a bid. I hired someone else for that job

Description of Work: Contacted them by e-mail and subsequently by phone and was ignored. If this was an omen of their commitment to their service, they did us a favor. Chose The Floor Store for our project.

Description of Work: They supplied and installed vinyl flooring. Our contractor recommended them and we could see why. They showed up on time, installed the floor quickly and well and cleaned up after they were done. Good experience!

Description of Work: Re-carpeted single bedroom in the basement. They provided a quick quote and gave multiple levels of carpeting options. There were a few miscommunications that slowed down the actual installation process. Carpet looks great. Installation punctuality was great. Price was median. Professionalism was okay, but did leave lots of little carpet threads behind.

Description of Work: I was checking availability as well as prices in Portland compared to Newberg. Macadam Floor and Design had a wonderful selection both to order and in stock and their sales personnel were fantastic.

Description of Work: From beginning to end the process went very well and smooth. |The sales person in the beginning understood what we were looking for and brought us samples. The measurement person was on time and professional.The installation was on time and well done. We are happy so far.

Description of Work: Description Of Work: I contacted Macadam Floor and Design and received a quick response in regard to having our flooring replaced. The measuring process was excellent and prompt. However the first gentleman I worked with (Rick, awesome!) was scheduled for some time off and turned our project over to someone else. He was not, shall we say, as engaged as he should have been with us. After consulting with him in the store about what we were looking for he was slow in response to two phone messages I had left. (He admitted to not having listened to my first message where I specifically mentioned we needed to hear back from him by a specific time) We never even got a quote for the 1000 square feet of flooring we wanted as we found out later that the product was not even available any longer. I would recommend working with Rick if you went with this company.

Description of Work: Two bathroom remodels and new kitchen tile floor. The Macadam designer helped me pick out the best products for the jobs. Our remodeled bathrooms and kitchen floor are beautiful.

Description of Work: Our contractor used Macadam for carpet, marmoleum, and tile work on a whole house remodel. All our problems with them were related to installation. Their installers "accidentally" tore out a vintage tile floor, installed the wrong color of marmoleum in the kitchen, dripped a dinner plate size pool of varnish onto newly installed carpet and did a substandard grouting and caulking job on the shower tile. They fixed most of this, with the exception of the showers. The installer they sent to fix it spoke so little English that we weren't able to communicate with him. All of the problems put us behind schedule.

Description of Work: We got some flooring estimates from them. We have not proceeded with our projects but felt they were experienced and their prices were competative. We will likely use them when we are ready to proceed.

Description of Work: Macadam Floor replaced the laundry room floor & counter tops, the powder room counter top and the living room and dining room carpet with hardwood flooring. The marble tile around the fireplace was also replaced. The designer, Brenda Esser was very helpful and had great ideas. The project foreman, Ryan, is/was incredible and made all parts of the job come together. He is worth his weight in gold. The hardwood flooring team were perfectionists and you cannot tell where the old hardwood ended and the new begins. The tile work is beautiful. The entire process took a bit longer than anticipated but that was almost entirely my fault as I made some changes. The other problem was that the quartz for one of the countertops wasn't available so I had to rethink the choice. In all they were professional, helpful and very trustworthy.

Description of Work: we had both hardwood floors and carpet installed by Macadam. The hardwood floors were okay but the carpet was late, installed by a sub contractor. His work order did not have the same instructions our salesman had promised us. He carpeted over a heat vent, seriously he covered a heat vent with carpet. When we asked him to fix it he cut a hole in the carpet but now we can't find the vent cover. A pathetic job with a smooth sales man.
