Fast Water Heater Company

Tim was our technician. He called to see if it would be okay to arrive early. He explained the process and after we signed papers he got right to work. He worked quickly and was helpful in answering all of our questions. He was very professional and did a good job.

I think, if I can remember them correctly, they were amazing. Very good customer service

It was a nightmare! First it was scheduled to be done in November and when someone arrived they said it would take two days and they couldn't possibly do it then and they were very booked through the end of the year. I then scheduled it for February 20 and 21st. The technician did not show up until 230 in the afternoon on February 20 and he did not have the proper drill to drill through the concrete floor in the garage So said he would need to come back. I had to call the scheduler and assumed he would come back the next day, Tuesday but he could not come back until Thursday afternoon. It took another eight hours to complete the job so he did not complete the job until 9:15 P.m. on the 21st. About 40 minutes later I heard water running and looked down in my crawlspace and saw that there was quite a bit of water coming into it. I also noticed at that point when I looked under the house that the water lines that he installed we're just hanging free in the crawlspace and had not been secured to the joists. I called the company's emergency number around 11 PM and a different technician showed up around 915 the next morning. He concluded that it was the water line coming into the house that was leaking , and that it had nothing to do with the work that the other plumber had completed about 30 minutes before I noticed the leak. I asked the first plumber if the crawlspace was dry since we had had so much rain, and he said it was perfectly dry. By this morning there were several inches of water in the crawlspace and the visquine material was covered in mud. When I tried to get someone from the company to repair the water line they apologized and told me that they do not do residential plumbing. Now I am left trying to find someone to come and fix the water line and my family and I will need to stay in a hotel until someone can repair it, since I had to turn the water off at the street and there is no running water or plumbing in the house. In addition when I asked to have someone come and secure the water lines that were installed to the ceiling of the crawlspace it will take another week to get someone back to do that. I am hoping that at least the water heater will work well, but I cannot say since I have been unable to use any water since the technician left last night. All in all, the customer service For this company is horrendous and I would warn people not to use them.

Brother was home for job, heater was installed fine but was surprised they didn't ask about updating required venting to Code. But did ok otherwise. According to brother, he came did job and left. Very little communication.

So very good! No hot water! Had to do something fast. Called Fast Hot Water Heaters at 8:20 this morning. And again had hot water by Noon. Yeah! Amazing. So smooth. Sean C, who came out to the house with a new unit, was personable, knowledgeable and very, very efficient. And fast, without losing quality. Jake, the voice on the phone, to explain options and to schedule the work inspired confidence. Right away, I felt confident that my hot water problem would be solved quickly -- and it was. Fast Hot Water Heaters is just that—Fast. And excellent! I highly recommend them. However, I recommend saying right away that you found them on Angies List. I forgot all about it.

Installed quickly and profesionally

It cost a lot of money for them to come. I was little bit overwhelmed by the whole situation. Not only was the water heater was pouring water out of it,which I managed to stop. I had to cut off the whole house water off, so I could not use the toilet, no nothing. If that did not happen, I would have done some more research. They are recommended by the utilities that does my gas.They came with white gloves, removed the old one, brought the new one.did it by code. I called them at 6:30, and they were there by 9:30. If I was in an desperate situation, when there was no water in the house, I would use them, but I would want to do my research on other companies. I got the best energy efficient water heater that they had, so I paid more for this one. They gave me an hundred dollar, energy star discount, or rebate.

It was just fine. They came out within a couple of days.

So... called and they were fairly helpful. Offered package prices but there was alot of variability in the labor costs depending on the situation so they suggested coming out to do an estimate since I wasn't in dire need. They gave me a 3 hour window (1pm to 4pm) and said they'd call 30 minutes before arriving. I take the afternoon off. Come 4:30, noone has called or arrived. I call them, get routed to a call center who takes my call. The woman at the call center says they'll call the tech and then call me back. 5 minutes later, she calls me back- says the tech had two installs that one and neither was going well but he'd be willing to come later. I say, OK, anytime before 7pm. It's 7:40 now and he hasn't shown up or called. I get that they are busy but the tech, their fancy call center and the company itself all had my number. Why did I have to be in the dark for over 7 hours? Why can't you just give me a call, reschedule.... you know, treat me with a modicum of respect. If your water heater is spilling all over the floor and these are the only people who can help I guess you don't have any choice. If you do have a choice and you don't want to risk turning a simple install into a total pain, go elsewhere.

ok, just wanted to replace old water heater, bought coupon for water heater $400, but did have problems on my end with the way prior hot water heater was installed, not up to code so incurred over $800 in more costs than originally expected to pay gave ok to update to code,and install, also replaced additional hoses, connections etc. and update water lines to outside spout. All working fine now,

I purchased a deal from Angie's list for this company to install a new water heater with a 10 year warranty. Dale, the technician arrived early and went to work. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon completion of the work I noticed the installed water heater had only a 6 year warranty. I showed Dale my receipt from Angie's List showing I'd purchased a water heater with a 10 year warranty. Dale showed me his work order to install a water heater with a 6 year warranty. After Dale left I called Fast Water Heater Company. I was told my water heater comes with a 6 year warranty but the company would add 4 years to that. It's my opinion I received an inferior water heater. Even if Fast Water Heater Company adds 4 years to the standard warranty that doesn't mean they'll still be in business if I need service. The 10 years should be a warranty covered by the water heater manufacturer. For $300 less a competitor would have installed a new 6 year water heater. Seems I paid $300 extra to hope this company is around if I need service in years 7-10. Beware of this deceptive company.

VERY POORLY. The company's employee failed to respond our first contact and then failed to arrive during the specified time period for the appointment set during our second contact. I would not use this company or employee again. We were expected to pay $90 for the estimate, which would have been credited to the installation cost. If he could not show on time for the initial appointment, what guarantee would there be that he would fail to show for the installation? I cannot understand how this company got an A rating when our experience was so pathetic.

I am very, very disappointed in the service received. They installed the water heater in my house which has tenants. My water pressure from the city was too high so they needed to install some sort of pressure release valve. They didn't call me, the owner, to tell me an additional $200 was being billed. Then when the tenant notified me of the issue, I called them and the man who answered said I needed some pressure release valve and that I had to call the water heater manufacturer to order the part myself. I called the manufacturer and they said they didn't make such a part. Then I called the company and relayed what the manuf said and they told me something completely different. Then the company told me the part I needed was covered by warranty and they'd be out on a specific date to install it for free. They didn't show up on that date. I called to complain and they said the part wasn't covered and I'd have to pay $300 more. After 4-5 contacts to the company, each one I was told a different story, I finally have a working water heater. Their customer service was TERRIBLE!

I used a Angies List coupon to buy a 50 gallon water heater. I was able to get appointment for the next day. Everything went smooth. There was a 20.00 license fee for the City that I was unaware of and paid. I felt Tim did a great job installing the water heater and explaining how it works. I would use this company again in the future.

Dale W did a very neat and efficient job of removing the old and installing the new. He was able to contact an electrician that was able to come on short notice and complete the needed electrical work for the new water heater. Dale was able to work at removing the old heater from a very small area and installed the new one much neater than the old ones setup. The company originally sent out the newer model of our old water heater. This was not an Energy Efficient model. I wanted an Energy Efficient model and was glad that putting the heater that originally was sent was going to involve work that could become even more costly and might involve even more work on a concrete wall. Dale gave us all the information of this plan and other options that were available to us and what would be needed for each. One of those options was the Energy Efficient heater he installed that was made by the same company as our old heater. Dale worked till 7pm and was great at making sure everything was up and working (furnace and fire place insert) before he left. He cleaned up everything and I would definitely recommend him.

He had to get a different size because it wouldn’t fit. It was complicated. He had to take an extra week to get it. Considering that it was a matter of changing the space putting in a different heater. They were late coming out. They just seem to have a really large operation and repoint to fit people. They are a little different from the others but I’d use them again I think.

Fast Water Heater does the installations for Home Depot. I contacted them through Home Depot. Home Depot advertises same day installation if you call before noon. I called at 7:30AM but could not get a new water heater installed that day. I was expecting some sort of discount because of that, but I didn't get one. I did get the first appointment on the following day. That means installation began about 26 hours after I called which is not terrible. Tim B and his assistant called 45 before their arrival as requested. They arrived on time. They were very professional. They explained everything they were going to do. They offered a leak alarm at an additional charge that I declined. They removed the old 50 gallon gas water heater and replaced it with a new Rheem 50 gallon water heater. They replaced the flex hoses for the hot and cold water supplies as well as the gas supply. They added a sediment trap on the gas supply as part of their standard install. They installed a very professional earthquake strap. The scheduler said they would insulate the hot water pipe, but they did not which is fine with me. Tim explained how to light the pilot and adjust the tank temperature. They were in and out in 1.5 hours. They left the work area cleaner than when they arrived.

Dale W. was both courteous and professional. He took some measurements then went over the different options with me, including cost. Afterward he went about his business and when it was installed and complete, had me review and sign the necessary paperwork. Excellent experience, highly recommended!

VERY FAST!!! The serviceman Josh was so helpful and professional. When I called t set up the installation, Jake took my call and could have been pleasant. Having to have both water heaters replaced was not how I wanted to start my year out with, but this company made it easier to deal with because of their work ethics.

It went really well! They were professional, on time, and worked quickly and efficiently.

Called as soon as they opened on a Monday and explained our issue with our current water heater. Based on our discussion decided to replace rather than repair. The install team arrived earlier than I had anticipated. Quick install of a 15 year water heater. The price was higher than expected due to some additional work to bring things into current code (duct work and updated earthquake straps). All in very pleased.

As I said above we cancelled the order through Angie's List and received a full refund. Thank you! Unfortunately I keep receiving these Review Requests for Fast Water Heater and the only way it appears that I can clear this is by posting a review of something that wasn't done! We cancelled because we dug further and felt that the cost was too high for what we were getting.

This vendor was the only one of three that was able to install a water heater on the same day. Others would have required waiting several days. I was connected with a customer service representative after a short wait on hold. Others returned my message hours later. The installer reviewed all of the code requirements and offered one optional upgrade, an automatic shutoff valve, which I declined on principal as I was given no advance warning. Some extra electrical work was required, and I chose to use my own electrician. The installer cleaned up nicely. I chose a heater with a 15 year warranty, and I believe the price was very competitive.
