Job went well. I received info and estimate over the phone. Job was scheduled within 24 hours. New 0 gal Gas heater installed, old one removed, everything cleaned up. Very professional. Costs incl new heater, new valve & expansion tank, venting, removal & permit.

The workman arrived as announced and removed the old heater and installed the new heater in around 2 hours. Everything was efficiently and neatly done. He was very professional, explaining the contract, what he was doing and why, and encouraged me to contact the company if I had further questions.

Water heater broke. I called Fast Water Heater Company and they replaced the water heater the same day I called. The installation tech that performed the replacement was very knowledgeable and had all the tools/equipment/parts to do the job right and within code.

They were able to send someone the same day, so we were lucky. Joe was efficient and friendly. He answered all of our questions in a way we could understand. When the replacement process hit a snag, he was well prepared and handled everything in a professional and timely manner. He even showed me how to light the pilot. Great service.

Removed old gas water heater. Installed new gas water heater & brought up to new code. When a problem came up, they communicated quickly and fixed the problem with excellent service.

Fast Water Heater Company – Portland, Oregon My job consisted of replacing a 25 year old water heater with a new one. The installing technician was Joe who was very knowledgeable and was able to resolve all problems easily. He explained everything to me in detail as the job progressed. When he had finished, the garage was clean and required no additional effort on my part. The initial contact was on a Monday with an appointment set for Tuesday. That appointment did not happen due to a misunderstanding of my availability schedule. A re-schedule was set for Friday when Joe showed up with a water heater in the truck and had the job completed in about two hours. This was an Angie’s List Deal for $1052. There were three additional charges: 1) $119 (optional) to replace the cold water gate valve and galvanized pipe with a ball valve and copper pipe. Getting this fixed was time consuming but I’m happy the work was done. 2) $44 to extend the gas flue length since new water heaters no longer require a water heater stand. 3) $29 for the work permit Joe had an app on his smart phone that could make credit card purchases so payment for me was fast and simple. I am very pleased with this company and the work performed and I highly recommend them.

This is the most painless work I have done to my house yet! This company was clear, efficient, friendly, and delivered a great product at the lowest price we found. Highly recommend.

Went as planned other than my input water valve was broken by the tech so that was interesting. To be expected, house was built in 2000, original water heater and pvc pipes. Install went well besides the broken pipe, heater works perfectly for a family of 4. Would hire fast hot water heater again, the did perform the job as expected, showed up on time and did a nice clean install. I have installed many electric water heaters but gas lines I don't mess with. Fast Water heater is a good company with a sound warranty program.

New water heater was defective. The Fast company did not come out to check to see exactly what was wrong but redirected to me to a diagnostic element gizmo purchase and the company that made the water heater. For a water heater that is only a week old I would expect the installers to at least do the check to see what was wrong rather than me having to go and buy the tool that does this. The water was replaced and all was eventually resolved.

I was very impressed by the entire process. Every step - from the first phone call to the thank-you-good-byes went just as planned - which is difficult to find these days. The installers Tim and Adam called 30 mins before they arrived (just as they promised AND on the front side of the Saturday arrival window), they assessed the existing set up, and made a couple of recommendations I feel were reasonable (e.g. replace the PLASTIC overflow tray with a proper metal one and install a drain; I opted out of a flood stop valve which is something I can have installed at a later date if I change my mind) and they were super courteous. I would definitely recommend this company.

Showed up within five hour time frame but did not call ahead. Technician called wrong number. Install went well. Tech took time to explain everything. About an hour after leaving water line leaked causing shower in garage. Called and tech did return that day and fixed (took multiple attempts). I would still hire again but you only get an A rating when job is done right first time

Removal of old tank and installation of new unit went smoothly.

We needed someone to replace our failing water heater promptly, as we had to have the old one removed in order for work to be done in our basement on a Friday. We didn’t want to have to go several days without hot water though, so the timing was tricky. We had one guy do an estimate but another tech had to come on Saturday to install the new water heater. There was a bit of miscommunication between the two techs and the office and some push back on an Angie’s List coupon, but they managed to work it out. We were hoping to go tankless, but the cost was exorbitant and we had no time to shop around, so we ended up with yet another giant tank. However, we have consistent hot water now, and that was the goal.

It went well and met my expectation.

This business gave me the serious creeps. And I don't write negative reviews often for businesses. This is the first one I've written for Angie's List! It is obvious they are cozied up to Home Depot and are exploiting the monopolistic relationship with them. I contacted them twice for install quotes for a new water heater. During the first call I was given the run-around regarding install pricing even though I knew the exact water heater (and its price) from Home Depot. The install price (with the cost of the water heater embedded into it) seemed really steep. I told them I would go into Home Depot to confirm and verify the pricing. The representative told me Home Depot would just give Fast a call so no need to bother. When I went into Home Depot the professional install employee (an ex-contractor) also thought the price was high but couldn't do anything about it because Home Depot only uses Fast. After reading positive reviews on Angie's List, I decided to give them one more try and gave them a call from a different angle: how much does it cost to install an already purchased water heater? As soon as they heard it was a Home Depot water heater, they redirected me to a specific Home Depot department within their office. The runaround began again. The bid began at $559 but then quickly escalated once the employee realized I had called the day before and been given a significantly higher bid (they track previous quotes which is the one good thing I'll say about them). All of a sudden permitting and a second installer/worker were added to the bid. So either the $559 install was a purposefully misleading quote to begin with (and it would have been driven up later) or he was backtracking. Regardless, the worst part was his poor customer service and continued accusations that I was lying about the price quote discrepancies. He was combative and argumentative when I was just trying to nail down costs. A very strange conversation and a huge red flag given they didn't even have my business yet! If this is what they are like at the front end, what would they be like after I hired them? Or if something went wrong with the install? I will never use them -- too pompous, arrogant, and slimy. Read other negative reviews before going with Home Depot and Fast. I opted for the competition and received a much better quote and purchase experience.

Fast Water Heater Company was very prompt when I called them and they patiently answered all of my questions. Tim was the technician who came to install our new hot water heater. He diagnosed the water heater and explained everything that he was going to do prior to starting the work. He was prompt, professional, and picked up his work area when he left. Fast Water Heater Company was priced competitively for labor and materials, they provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, and are very prompt. My husband and I would recommend Fast Water Heater Company to our friends and family.

I ordered a $518 water heater and was quoted $400 for install. This water heater company charged a total of $1650 without any explanation, and they left the property with fixtures not working (kitchen sink) and with the old water heater still on the property (part of the agreement was to remove it). They refuse to work with me so I've had to hire a plumber and pay more money to get the kitchen sink to work after the water heater install. I want to be refunded the full overcharged amount (something like $723), get reimbursed for the plumber, and I want Home Depot to drop this company as their water heater contracting company. There are many complaints on "Yelp" about this company overcharging, just as they did to me, so many consumers have been impacted by them.
