Anctil Heating and Cooling

The blower on our A/C unit went out on the evening of Friday, 7/3. We called the Anctil emergency line and were instructed to call back on Monday, told that we would be placed in the queue for service/scheduling right away. We called back first thing Monday morning, were instructed to leave a message for someone named Jeff, left a detailed message, and called back later in the day to confirm that the message had been received. We were told by reception that our message had been received, that Jeff was extremely busy given the heat wave and need for service, that we didn't need to call back and that we'd receive a call as soon as we could be put on the schedule. We received no other contact from Anctil. On Thursday morning, I called to make sure we were still in the queue and were told that there were no records of our (multiple earlier calls) and that the soonest we could be put on the schedule was another week. A frustrating experience made worse by the fact we received multiple assurances that additional calls to check in were unnecessary. In order to get service, I should have been calling all week long, multiple times a day.

Turned out just a blown fuse. Replaced the fuse, cleaned the entire unit and made certain there were no other issues. We have a somewhat complicated furnace system and he was very skilled at knowing how to override our initial installed thermostat locks. Was very impressed with our technician as both a professional and a person.

It has always been great with them. We have been suing them for a couple of years now. They are probably not the best price but that is because they give better service than the guys who have lower price. The price is comparable with the service. They are pretty much top rate otherwise I will not have them back for several times. They always call me back and check things. I won?t be using them because I moved to California and there is no Anctil down here.

They were great! Other companies told us we would need a whole new unit. They were able to fix it without telling us we needed a new unit. I was very happy with how this went and I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.

2-3 technicians were out several different times for the job. We did not expect the project to take as long as it did and it took a few months to get the work done. We were gone for a week of the project. We did not have too much interaction with the technicians who did the work. There was a lot of miscommunication about their pricing. We had to go back and forth for months to resolve the pricing issue and it was very frustrating. They are a pretty busy company and were not very responsive. I spent a lot of time trying to track them down to complete the work and get the pricing correct. We also had to pay a 50% down payment. I thought that was asking a lot for the quality of service we received from them.

They were super personable. They were punctual and timely. Their estimate came in on target. They cleaned the area and explained everything to us. The guy was great and very personable.

They replaced the heat pump with a gas furnace. They also replaced the duct work for half of the house. It turned out very well. The heating system went in with no problems. They sent someone out a day later to explain the control system. It has worked very well. It was a little more complicated because I asked them to zone the house. I got 3 other bids, and their package was the most appealing.

They're wonderful. They're very responsive and they're very nice. I like to deal with them. It was $99 for the service two weeks ago. It was a good deal. I am under their maintenance plan now so I get deals. They have an annual maintenance plan. For $150, they come out twice a year and check on my furnaces.

They are a very good provider. They did a good job. They were very thorough, knowledgeable, and responsive.

Out of 3 HVAC contractors I received a quote from, Anctil was most competitive from a price perspective. The other quotes we received were for lower quality heat pumps than what we purchased from Anctil, but at the same price or higher than what we ended up paying with Anctil. I'm very pleased with the value/quality we received for the price paid for the equipment and installation.

After receiving three competing bids, we chose Anctil due to price, professionalism, recommendations and the company's record with the State Contractor's Board and Better Business Bureau. They exceeded our expectations in every aspect throughout the process. Brian and Eric were very up front and professional during the estimate and provided a very detailed plan for the scope of work and associated costs. Christine was great to deal with in scheduling the install dates and completing all of the paperwork. The installers, Dave and Jerry, arrived on time, were efficient, respectful of our property, and true craftsmen at their jobs. They came up with an alternative venting solution which prevented an additional hole in our roof and presented an aesthetically superior option. They kept their workspace clean and their attention to every little detail was impressive and appreciated. When the install was completed, Christine delivered the final document package with our tax credit paperwork, Oregon Energy Trust rebate, and Carrier promotional rebate all filled in with detailed instructions on how to complete and submit everything. The entire experience was wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Anctil in the future! It almost felt as though we were being taken care of by family. Thank you for everything!

As scheduled, someone came to thoroughly check my heat pump and make sure everything was working properly. I do appreciate knowing it's all working as it should for summer a/c and winter heating. They are always very professional and will explain anything that they need to do.

We always use Anctil for heating and cooling service. As real estate brokers we have recommended this company to many clients because of their professionalism and superior service. This service was performed at a rental property that we were representing for sale. We called Anctil, scheduled the appointment, were given the pricing up front. On the day of service, they arrived on-time, performed the maintenance and charged the expected rate.

I would use them again because they are fast, honest and they are reasonably priced. They cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous and professional.

He was very professional. They have really good warranties. He was also able to provide assistance with our retaining walls which the others were not able to do. The company gave us one of the best units on the market and for the best price.

I called today because of an issue and the receptionist was extremely rude and actually said "We're getting a lot of calls. Are you trying to schedule service?" I did not know whether I wanted to schedule service or not, that was what I was trying to figure out ... whether my problem would be solved in a reasonable time frame given the range of services they offered, which I did not know. It's sad that a lot of people doing good work can be completely undone by one really rude person. Will NEVER call them again. Call Service Now instead -- they do great work and don't treat you like crap over the phone.

The estimate was excellent and very detailed. It is apparent they are very knowledgeable in their field. The salesperson considered the size of the house in their recommendations.

Eric, with Anctil, met with us and helped us select a heat pump which was the right size for out house and was a good compromise between price, efficiency and size. The unit fits well into our small backyard (18 x 33). They adjusted their schedule to install on a day tat worked well for us. Anctil's team arrived on time and completed there work in one day, although the electrician had to return the next morning to get us hooked up. A tech from Anctil came by when the electrician was done and helped me program the thermostat. Two weeks later we'd changed out minds about the programing. I called Anctil and a tech. called within an hour and walked me through the steps. Anctil was affordable, on time, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and has been great after instillation in helping us get out settings right. The unit works perfectly.

It was a hot day so it was great that the service man could come out the same day. He came on time, and explained what the problem was (blown fuse in the Furnace / AC). He showed me how to fix it if it happened again and left me a spare fuse. I was very pleased with the service.

I would definitely use this company again. Arrived on time, were clean, professional, efficient. First rate.

Our furnace died during this time and they gave us a bid to replace the furnace at what seemed a reasonable price. They were able to do it in a timely manner and did it before the end of the year allowing for tax credits also.

Anctil replaced a leaking water heater in a very tight space. Estimator and installers were on time and knowledegable. Price was in the range of other quality plumbing companies for the same work. Installers were very careful to avoid bringing in wet leaves/debris on their shoes or the dolly truck wheels. Clean-up after the installation was excellent: aside from the new hardware, there was no sign they had been there.

Anctil HVAC was the chosen service provider of American Home Shield, who was covering my furnace replacement. They came out and suggested a new furnace, and the wheels were set in motion. Once I decided to go with them, they were excellent. The installation guys (sorry, I forgot their names!) were great, and they did an incredible job. I worked from home while they worked on replacing the gas furnace, and they just hummed along, staring around 8 am and not finishing till about 5 or so since it was a challenging job. My only lower mark would go to the office folks who were, most likely because of my hesitation and having AHS run the show, a little slow to get back to me. Also, I had to work hard to get an explanation of why I could not go to a high efficiency furnace, and other such questions could have been answered more quickly. But overall, a great experience!
