Description of Work: I asked for an appt. for a quote on a continuous gutter, Jack returns calls, schedules appointments to show up to give an estimate, is on time. Professional and left written estimate with me. |I was delayed in following up on this job at my home and have since modified the work necessary to solve a gutter issue with improved flashing that a current contractor doing work for me can do. |I thought Seamless Gutter's Jack was prompt, courteous, professional, and good at answering questions.

Description of Work: They installed 20 feet of gutter and one downspout on an outbuilding. They were prompt and did a very good job overall. Only one small complaint... when I phoned to arrange the service, I very specifically requested a diverter be installed in the downspout for a rain barrel. The nice older gentleman I spoke with seemed to know exactly what I was describing (these really are fairly common, after all). He said they would install it. When the younger crew showed up, they had no instructions to install a diverter... and they claimed they had never heard of one, and they had no clue what it was! So I let them do the job, without a diverter... alas.

Description of Work: This service is BS. It relies on the unverified testimony of random people. These guys came out to look at a clogged gutter. Diagnosis: the gutter was installed "at the wrong angle." $300 to fix it. | |But guess what? Another friend came out and grabbed some rotting leaves out of the gutter - problem solved. Then he noticed I had a really badly placed tree nearby, and that the extended roots (30 feet) were growing under my house, the neighbor's house and amidst underground utility lines. So he took down the offending tree for !100, and suggested ways I could get the roots to rot in place. This friend had previously been criticized twice by one person on this BS service. I'd employ HIM at any time. | |Meanwhile your business seems to be a scam. I think you're going to need a good lawyer someday, but not because of me. | |Got a comment, Angie?

+ -1 moreThis company was great to work for. Jack responded immediately to my initial call, came out, laid out our options in terms of replacement/repair, and gave a clear estimate. We opted for a full replacement and we are thrilled we did. The new gutters look fantastic. They were taken off ahead of when our painters were arriving so the whole house could get power-washed and then new ones installed when the painting was done. Jack was great about keeping me up to date on how he was coordinating with our painter, which gave me one less thing to worry about. All in all, excellent work, very professional, and great to work with the owner. I would definitely recommend.
Description of Work: We tore off all of our old gutters and downspouts and replaced them entirely. The house had an hodge podge of sizes and fixtures that had been jerry-rigged to work over the years.

+ -1 moreThey came out on and gave me an estimate, called me the next day and scheduled the work for the next week after the long memorial day weekend was over. Arrived right on time on Tuesday, removed old gutters from house and garage, replaced the gutters with new. All work was done very quickly, efficiently, and did not disturb anything around my house, and charged just what they had quoted. After the work was done, you could not even tell that they had been here other than the new gutters. The gutters look great, this company is wonderful, does great work, I could not have asked for better. Great Job....

+ -1 moreJack met me promptly at the agreed-upon date and time to review the job, take measurements, discuss materials and provide an estimate. He included a discount for finding his business on Angie's List. The work was completed in the allotted time on the scheduled day and everything was cleaned up nicely and all areas around the perimeter of the house appeared completely undisturbed. Originally Jack thought he would use the old downspouts, but called me during the job to indicate that they wouldn't work out. The job ended up costing more than the original bid, but should have cost quite a bit more than he charged with the addition of the new downspouts and the decision to go with larger gutters on both sides of the house. Unfortunately, he made an error in calculation, which was in my favor; and although I would have offered to share the difference he accepted only the quoted amount. So far the gutters seem to be performing their job and I have not noted any leaks anywhere. I am very pleased with the work and service provided and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing gutter replacement.

Description of Work: Gave an estimate, came back and did the work well and carefully. Great Price, better than everywhere else, even did extra work not in the original estimate and didn't charge extra! He added extra metal protection for the roof cove intersection! He also repaired several pieces of 3 tab that were ripped olff by the storm!

+ -1 moreCalled these guys based on Angie's List recommendation and was NOT disappointed. Great work, incredibly communicative and punctual. Literally came the same day for the bid and were very clear about what their timeframe and price was. The work is clean and very well done, but one of the corners sprang a leak within two weeks. I called about it, and they literally showed up half and hour later to fix it. No problems since -- said that I could call anytime in the next few YEARS if anything comes up. Big props to these guys.
Description of Work: Replaced old gutters on 1,000 sq. ft. home. Very straightforward.

+ -1 moreI called American based upon other Angie's list recommendations and was not disappointed. My call was returned promptly. Timing was critical because house was being painted at the same time (it was the painter who discovered that new gutters needed) and we had to coordinate activities of the two. American accommodated the schedule perfectly and did great job of installing the new gutters. (Note: The painters actually removed the old gutters/downspouts so they could get the fascia boards behind gutters painted in advance, so price might have been higher had American done it.)
Description of Work: All gutters and downspouts on my house replaced with new ones. Very professionally done.

+ -1 moreEveryone was here on time. They actually were very quiet, I was very surprised. No shouting or undue noise. (Very different from lots of other services we have had done on our house recently.) Darryl swept our roof, and cleaned up all the junk that came down on the concrete in the back. They were done quickly, and also installed two rain chains in the back of the house. This is a company that takes immense pride in their work. And the price, wow.

Description of Work: My nine-year-old gutters had had a moderate drip at a 45-degree corner ever since they had been put in. After at least four years after installation of having the installer come out from time to time to fix it to no avail, I sort of gave up and used a 5-gallon bucket (or two). The dripping corner was right above part of my deck. It got so "normal" that if I saw it was starting to rain, I just went and positioned the bucket under it. This year the "drip" was far worse, on rainy days filling both five-gallon buckets in 24 hours. This past January I got some stuff at the hardware store and tried to patch it myself. It's hard to spread some of that stuff in the cold because it gets stiff, and my "patch" didn't take. I called American Seamless Gutters earlier this month. They said they could come the same day about, I think, 3:00. At ten till 3:00 they called and said they'd be late because a job they were working on was taking longer than expected. I think the two men arrived about 3:45. I explained the situation to them and they got their ladders. One got on the roof to look at all the gutters and the other was on a ladder where the leak was. Since, as they said, the gutter had to be clean and dry before patching, the gent on the ladder worked diligently at scrubbing the corner and letting it dry before they put their magic stuff on it. The ladder man came down and invited me to climb the ladder to look at the corner after the "fix." I could see how clean he had got the area since I had been up there myself a week or two before. The patch was applied to all possible metal edges. Right then and there, I told him "Well, that is not going to leak" -- and it hasn't. Every so often since the fix and when it begins to rain, I think to myself, "Oh, gosh, I've got to get the buckets." But I don't have to -- because it's not leaking anymore. It's just amazing what we put up and put up with for so long when the fix is just a phone call away, not to mention only costing $50. While the ladder guy was working, the other man checked the entire gutter system from the roof and told me the gutters badly needed cleaning. When I asked, "How much?" he said, "$125." I declined, knowing that the roof-treatment company I use would be out in a couple of months and it would be part of that charge. In addition, I can reach the entire gutter system myself all around the house by standing two or three steps up on the ladder and manually scooping them out.

The gutters about a week later when the materials arrived. They were on the building within hours and they look terrific. Best of all, no hidden surprises -- he charged us exactly per his estimate. I would refer this contractor without hesitation.
