AMERICAN SEAMLESS GUTTERS

I messaged them through Angie's List and did not hear from them. I called the office a few days later and was told someone would call me back to arrange an estimate. I have still not heard from them a another week later.

It took a while to get someone out to install, but they look very nice and work well. It’s so nice not to have leaking gutters anymore. The old ones had gotten really bad after 40 years. I’m surprised they lasted this long.

Great, contacted Jack first thing Thursday morning. He came over that afternoon and gave us estimate. Called him next day to schedule, he came and completed job the next wednesday. Nice job, even installing down spouts matching house paint.

The gutters are perfect. They did a quick, clean and thorough job. Jack, the owner, was friendly and easy to work with.

It went very well. The only bad part for the workers is that they encountered a large hornets nest under one of the old gutters...not fun for them but they took care of it without getting stung. They were professional, polite, efficient and did a nice job cleaning up when they were done.

The gutters were installed in summer, and started leaking as soon as the winter came. The next summer they came back out to fix them and he admitted they purchased a batch of faulty caulking. He came back out and spent maybe an hour or two scraping caulking off and putting new caulking. It still leaks. After I contacted him again he came to my house unannounced, handed my wife a tube of caulking and told her that we can scrape the old caulking off and apply the new caulking ourselves because the warranty was expired on them. (even though most gutter professionals give at least a 5 year warranty on new seamless gutters!) I have two other gutter contractors that came out and explained that he did not install the guttering properly. The guy has very poor communication skills. He has dodged three of my calls and I’ve sent a certified letter to which I have gotten no response. Jack Ellison of American Seamless gutters has now completely denied ever saying that he used a "defective batch of caulking". There is now a case opened with the better business bureau and this situation is currently being investigated. I will update accordingly.....I am sure more to come.

west side of the house. The original builder apparently used inadequate fasteners when the house was built 9 years ago. The next morning the gentlemen came exactly as promised and took care of this little job. All individuals were professional and polite. The price seemed to be very moderate.

Jack Ellison came out within 2 days of our request for a quote. His bid was reasonable compared to others so we decided to go with him. When he gave us the bid, he said he could have the material and do the job 5 days later. After not hearing from him for 3 weeks, I called and he apologized for the delay, claiming he misplaced the paperwork for our job. He came out the next week and his crew did a great job of tearing down the old gutters and installing the new ones. They really look good and do a good job. American Seamless Guttering did a wonderful job of replacing all the gutters. I would suggest calling Jack to verify that his crew will be there the day agreed on to do the job.

Fast and responsive. Gave a quick accurate estimate and did the work the very next week when he said he would.

Our gutters were falling off our house. They could have installed new all around; we could not afford it because we were on Social Security. They re-nailed all the gutters in their proper place, installed flashing where the roofing did not extend over the gutter far enough. They cleaned all our gutters and roof. We experienced the crew to be very friendly and professional. We tried several other companies locally but found none of them in tune with our needs financially. They all wanted to install full gutter systems from the roof to the ground.

Professional and courteous even though we ended not using them.

Our experience with them was very positive. The work was done in a very timely fashion. The workers were friendly and worked well together.

They did a great job. We had a gap for a few days so that I could paint some spots and so that a contractor could repair some areas of bad dry rot. It went very smoothly except for a few times when the contractor didn't show up. The price was good.

Jack took special care not to harm the landscaping around the house. He and his workers were very efficient. Gutters look great!

I was not home when the work was done because my husband had a stroke, but it was all done very well. Had no complaints.

This is the second time this company has installed gutters on this property. Most recently (Aug 2013), they installed seamless aluminum gutters and extended downspouts on two outbuildings after the old gutters had been removed and the facia was primed and painted. Jack responded promptly for a requested update to an earlier quote (from Dec. 2012) and the boys did the job about ten days later. They arrived promptly on the date agreed upon, did the work to the exact specifications (and I am very picky about where downspouts go and how far drain pipes extend from the buildings), cleaned up after themselves and left. The job looks excellent and the gutters work great after the most recent downpour. These guys are very helpful, seem concerned about doing a job you will like and were very easy to have around. We couldn't be more pleased with their work.

The experience went very well. Jack came out and provided a prompt estimate. I was pleased that he told me that the downspouts were in good shape and did not need replacement- so no pushing on replacing things that did not need to be done. I accepted the estimate, a day/time was set and he brought color samples so I could choose the color I wanted. The crew showed up right on time, did great work and full clean up. I was pleased with the entire experience.

This was a VERY positive experience. Service was prompt, and the installed gutters look terrific. American Seamless came in with a price that was $300 below the competition. What's not to like?

Over the past several years I'd had problems with clogged downspouts, water standing in the gutters, and leakage, and I knew they had to be replaced before repainting the house. I had three estimates, Jack's was the highest by a little, but by far I had the most confidence in him. He told me that some of the overflow problems were due to incorrect sloping, which I could see. He replaced all of the gutters on both levels, resloped them, and relocated two of them to better locations. My dealings with Jack were very professional. He and his crew did a great job and left my property neat and clean - the gutters turned out wonderfully and they're working just as they should. In the course of doing the work, Jack noticed that some of my outside cable lines had been stapled to the exterior overhang (courtesy of an unskilled Comcast person) and were visible on the house, so on his own volition he took the extra time to redirect them through the gutters so that they were no longer visible, which I really appreciated. I used Jack's company again recently after a big windstorm which tore off most of the gutter and downspout on one side of an outbuilding on my property. I called Jack, and they came in a couple of days to repair the damaged area and replace the gutter and downspout. They also observed that the other gutters on that building had not been nailed as closely together as they should have been, so they rehung and renailed those also. They did a good job for $210, which I thought was reasonable.

They were exactly on time, courteous and professional. They worked nonstop until the job was done. I'm very pleased with the results and will be using them again.

The final price on the completed job was exactly as quoted. As far as I am concerned they were easy to work with, did what they promised and did the work for the price agreed upon. The crew were friendly and courteous. I could ask for nothing more.

Based upon Angie's List reviews, I called and had this company come out and give me a bid. When he came out, he pointed out a french drain problem to my better half. He said that he couldn't replace the gutters without having a place to put the gutter. When I got home, I called and he described the issue again. During the call, I asked him when the first available appointment was, which was more then 3 weeks away- on November 13th. I told him, at that time, that I would call him once I had the french drain fixed. While I was waiting on an irrigation company to fix the french drain problem, I received two more bids for the gutters, as I NEVER told Jack that I was definitely going to go with his company. Again, I told him that I would call him once I had the french drain fixed. Needless to say, I received a recommendation for a gutter company from a contractor that I had previously used, and that same gutter company came in way underneath Jack's bid, so it was a no brainer. I went a head and had the gutters replaced- 1.5 weeks before Jack's "earliest appointment." On the 13th, of November, as I was getting ready for work, I heard my doorbell ring and then a pounding at the door. My first instinct was that someone was in trouble due to the way the door shook when being pounded on. Before I could fully open the door, Jack began yelling, "You could have f-ing called me." I had no idea who he was or what he was talking about, since I had never met him face-to-face and I couldn't see, at that point, the side of his truck. He went on using profanities and threatening me- saying, "you should keep one eye open when you sleep," or something to that effect. And, even when I told him to leave my property, he stepped closer to me and said, "Why don't you f-ing push me off your property you f-ing a-hole." My assumption is that he was attempting to instigate a physical fight. But, being a psycho-therapist, I can pretty much stay calm in adverse situations, so I never raised my voice. His yelling became so obnoxious that my neighbors came out to see what was happening. A few things to note: 1.) Why wouldn't he have called me, prior to coming out to my home, and confirm the appointment, or at least confirm that the french drain had been fixed? 2.) Is business so bad that he had to have my business that day? 3.) In what world is it ever OK to show up at someone's house and start screaming at them? To sum it up, if anyone would like the details, I filed a police report with the Eugene police department: incident #102778 The bottom line is that if you are going to use this company, don't get on Jack's bad side.

I requested that they allow me time to paint before installing the new gutters and they didn't charge me extra for making two trips.
