Description of Work: Service was timely and professional. They indicated that a small amount of work needed to be done to my firebox. They agreed to send a quote for repairs to me via email. I never received the quote. Otherwise an "A" rating would be in order.

Description of Work: Purchased the Big Deal and they were able to come out very quickly. On time and quick clean up of my chimney and cleaned up after themselves. Also inspected the chimney from the roof and told me I needed some chimney caps. I had them put on the caps as well.

Description of Work: we own a home that was built in 1978. We have lived in the home for 5 years and had not used the fireplace. We wanted to get an inpection of it to make sure it was in good working order. Master sweep was very informative on the condition of our chimney. They let us know what was in good working order and what needed to be fixed and why.

They rescheduled me and did not perform the services when they arrived at my house .They purchase was for an assessment of the condition of the chimney, a repair cost assessment, and a cleaning. I did not get any of these things. I was told that they could not sweep my chimney because it was too old. He gave me a general quotes of "thousands of dollars to repair or replace." I was told that my money would be refunded, but that never happened either. He never even looked inside of the chimney!

Description of Work: Cleaned the chimney. He was right on time and was very neat and tidy - no mess -. I don't know much about cleaning chimneys, but based on his orofessionalism , I think he did a good job. The fireplace works well. In addition to cleaning, he explained to me that due to the age and construction of my fireplace my chimney would have a draft problem if not lit properly. He showed me how to accommodate for that and we've had no problem. I will definitely use Master Sweep again.

Description of Work: I called Master Sweep to clean the chimney of a rental home we own - because of the positive ratings here on Angie's list. According to our long term tenants, Master Sweep arrived to the home but (in their view) never actually swept the chimney. Apparently they vacuumed out the fireplace, identified a spot in the firebox that needs patching, then went on the roof to assess the chimney cap and (as I had requested and was willing to pay an extra fee for) swept major debris off of the roof (and onto new plantings that the tenants had planted. To their knowledge they never: Took the chimney caps off and swept the chimney. I don't know what really happened, but they have not returned my call from 6 hours ago. Proceed with caution.
