TruGreen Lawn Care - 5325

I do not remember details. I was satisfied and recall them being very cooperative. Although I do not remember the costs I do know the charge was reasonable

We've had pretty good luck although they have not taken care of our problem. Their price is not extremely high but average. The gentlemen that come out are very nice and understanding. They are very knowledgeable and very punctual. Everything else is good except I haven't noticed the difference in our yard.

We used them last summer from May to September 2012. That was just a one time thing, the grass is doing very well this year! Their pricing was a little high. They were very good and showed up at appropriate dates and times and went back to business. They were very punctual and very professional.

Paid for full year of service and received discount. Work was done on time. Helpful notes of work completed left at door and suggestions on continued care. Lawn and tree remain healthy.

I received a promotional mailing from Scotts for a complimentary lawn analysis. Since I was getting ready to purchase fertilizer and fungus control products I submitted the online request in order to have a professional opinion of what my lawn needs and to compare the costs of doing it myself with Scotts. The next day I received a call from the company asking what they could do for me. I stated the above, mentioned that I am new to the area and am unfamiliar with lawn needs for this part of the country. Once the representative found out that I was only interested in the analysis and cost comparison for now he rudely stated "OK, I'll send someone out" and hung up. It's been 10 days and no one has ever come. I've since purchased the products and applied them myself, however, I would have considered hiring Scotts if the price was reasonable. I guess they aren't looking for new customers.

My experience has always been very positive, I have never had any problems! They always call and leave a message to let you know when they're coming which I think is nice.

I called the 800 # and I got a call center. The person I spoke with used an aerial map to quote the job. Based on this, I was not interested in doing business with this company. BUT...a couple of days later, the local salesman (Josh) called and he apologized for the call center and sent an appraiser (Alex) out to look at our yard to give me an estimate. Based on how small the lots are up here, we were given the minimum price and was told the treatments are applied approximately every 7 weeks. I was also assured that if ever I had a problem, if ever we were not happy with the service or treatments, to give him a call, as they guarantee our satisfaction. Based on this, we went ahead with service, and first treatment was the 4/27/ 2012. Final cost was $321.57 after 10% discount for pre-paying (had we started at the beginning of the season, it would have been $357.30 after pre-pay discount). Because of how wet our back yard is, he also had recommended we have them aerate our front and back yards, for an additional fee ($409.86 after $10% pre-pay discount), which I agreed to. THIS has been my only disappointment with TruGreen. It was explained that they like to do the aerating in May at the latest, due to the fact that they put down grass seed after they're done aerating the yard, and it's best to do this during the cooler months. So an appointment was scheduled for end of April/early May, but the day of the appointment I get a call explaining the person who does the aerating didn't come into work, and they would need to reschedule this appointment. Things happen, so I was fine with it being rescheduled for mid May. The day of this appointment, the person shows up and says because there are steps down to the back yard, and the aerator is 300 lbs, the appointment will need to be rescheduled AGAIN, because he needs someone to help him carry the machine. Now, this sounds logical...HOWEVER, I had the appraiser out and not only one yard treatment but also a shrub treatment (4 treatments at $69.95 for each treatment minus 10% pre-pay discount were suggested). That meant that 3 TruGreen people had been out to our home and apparently no one made a note about the back yard having stairs, if this is an issue with any type of service. So another appointment is set up and on 6/4/2012 and the same tech shows up again... without a partner to help him carry the aerator. At this point he can see my patience has come to an end and says he can do it by himself and he promptly does. So then I start to wonder if he can do it by himself now, why couldn't he do so 3 weeks earlier??? I did speak with the salesman Josh and explained that we still had some moss in the back yard, and mentioned my frustration regarding the aerating. He apologized for that situation and said that he would have someone come out to treat for the moss. When Bill our lawn tech came out to do the next treatment (6/18/2012), he advised against putting down the moss chemical as it would burn up our yard, now that we were in the warmer months. He explained that they treat again for moss in the fall (I learned that moss is treated in spring and fall), and after he explained things to me, I was absolutely fine with not doing a treatment now. He then asked me to call him directly if I have any questions or problems as he's been out to see our yard and knows what issues we're having, as opposed to someone working in the local office. The bottom line is that our yard looks much better than it did last year, and this is after only two treatments. The bushes and shrubs were pretty bad, and I'm confident that by next summer, they'll be healthy. I have found that most everyone I have come in contact with to be serious about making me happy and our yard look good. Other than the aerating, I'm pleased with things so far. There are a couple of bare spots (less than before), but I know that Bill will put down more seed when it gets cooler. I think it's my faith in Bill that has kept me satisfied despite my experience with the aerating situation.

I selected Scott's because I don't have the time to do it, and they have all the tools. They seem to be doing a good job, I am NOT unhappy. I am fairly happy with what they are doing. I can't think of anything wrong with them, and of course, everyone always wants a better price. Although, I think the pricing is reasonable. Considering they do everything on their own, and I don't have to do anything, I would consider them pretty darn responsive. My grass is becoming green, and I have less weeds, so I'll continue to user Scott's service.

Overall Truegreen's service is top-notch. The grass always looked awesome as did the trees. My only complaint is the cost. They would charge $35 for the grass and $70 for the trees and shrubs every 6 weeks - but that didn't include any actual maintenance. Just fertilizing the grass and trees. While their service was good, I just couldn't justify the cost.

They are a national company. They are a little pricier but average. They have been very good and they let me know when they are coming out. They leave me a notice when I am not at home to tell me what service they have done. They have a supervisor who comes out to check they work which is very good. When I was not happy about the progress which was being made on my lawn they came out and re-seeded it again based on that review. They are very professional, forth-coming and very communicative. I would use them again in the future.

The lawn and garden treatments have worked well. In the lawn there are no weeds, moss or detrimental bugs. As long as I mow and water it stays very green and lush. In the garden the trees and shrubs are very healthy with no bug or fungus problems. The only problem I have had is with moss treatment which is sprayed on the lawn. The moss treatment was accidentally over-sprayed on a new cedar fence where it borders the lawn. The iron in the liquid spray caused the wood to turn black. Unfortunately, it does not show up for several hours after it is sprayed. Trugreen has promised to treat the damaged fence area each time they come out for a treatment until it is fixed. They are using a bleaching solution similar to oxalic acid.

We have been very pleased with Scotts LawnService. Since we have used them our lawn has looked great. Also, they are very prompt and good about scheduling appointments. In terms of pricing, we have a yearly contract with them. Even though it is a franchised business, the local operators have consistently been good.

.They are very good and dependable. They take the time to answer all your questions. I really like the work they do for us and we will continue to use them.

I've always been pleased with their service. The price is reasonable for the service that they provide. They are very professional and they are prompt. They come when they say they are going to come. They do a good job. I've had some trouble with mites in the arborvitae plants that I have, and they are hard to control, but they managed to keep them under control and keep the plants healthy, so I appreciate their service. I would use them again in the future.

They are well worth the money. The price is good. The guy who comes out talks to me and answers my questions.

They come on a regular basis. I think they come 5 or 8 times a year. I've not had anybody before so I don't know how to compare their price. The price is worth the services that they provide. I can't grade their punctuality because they just come.

They do not mow and do that stuff. They just come and put fertilizer on. I would use their services again in the future.

I am satisfied with my experience with TruGreen.The workers came and did what they were asked to do. The price was little high. The workers are very professional. I discontinued the use of their services due to financial reasons.

I called the office and they accused me that I did it and I wasn’t watering it properly. (It was too much, but we only do it for about 10 minutes / day) I sent a letter to the president and he actually came out himself. He was really nice and did a good job of fix/rectifying the situation.

Our house is under many oak trees and more difficult to successfully maintain a lawn. My hope was that with their service and expertise that our lawn would look better. I wan't that impressed after the first year, but I thought that perhaps it would take a little time and so I extended my contract for another year. Unfortunately, my lawn after the second year was no better. I have seen that they always write a little note with some comment about how nice the yard looks. This seems nice, but when there are bare spots on your lawn it seems disingenuous and honestly silly. What I would have preferred is someone to contact me with suggestions on how we could improve the look. I did call with concerns once and it took quite a long time for someone to respond to my questions. Overall, I don't think the product is worth the money.

We are already seeing great improvement. The color is coming back - very little straw now - a lot of the bare spots have filled in. I am very glad I made the call. I would definitely recommend their service.

They are professional. They show up on time. I will continue to use them in the future.

I am a little unhappy with them right now because they can’t get my yard as green as they say it should be. I know when they got some spray onto some of my plants, a couple of them died. Overall, I think they do a good job. The price is moderate but they are very responsive and they are here when they say they are going to be. They are very professional and helpful.

I found TruGreen to be responsive and professional. Neighbors were always commenting on how great the front yard looked. They also offer pest control services, which I had occasion to use to reduce the spider population around my house. The only reason I stopped using TruGreen was that I decided to use a full-service company that also does mowing, edging, pruning and maintenance of my beds. The only negative I found was that they were frequently trying to sell me additional services. However, I found their prices to be competitive on the few occasions I discussed this with them or used those services. If I ever wanted just lawn care and not the landscaping services - or if they ever decide to offer those services - I would use them again.

They did call at my request and if I asked - they did not come over. However, I have stopped the service. There seemed to be both a local and a national service. I would repeatedly call and say I only wanted weeds killed no other service and I would still receive calls for other services. Even after I called to cancel - I received another call for tree spraying. They were efficient, the weeds were killed but I have hired someone to mow the yard, kill the weeds and now I don't have (hopefully) as many phone calls. There were always polite and pleasant when I talked to them.
