I had two different plumbing companies try to rebuild the shower valve and spent over $500.00 for nothing but a continued leak in the wall that damaged the wall. So I had the added expense of repairing the wall. I called Pipeline at the recommendation of a contractor who was working for a friend. Without fail, they show up on time and keep their word. The original installation was place in April 2009, but there was a continued leak that took a while to identify. It was finally determined that there was a defective part in the new valve that needed to be replaced. Pipeline lives up to their reputation "quality with integrity". I paid my bill in April, and they never balked at coming out to assess and fixt the continued leak. I give extra kudos to Perry the General Manager. He went the extra mile finding the source of the leak and getting the right part to replace it (which was a headache for him).
Description of Work: Replace shower/tub valve in 1940s house, and pipe to shower head.

Pipeline Plumbing was very courteous and responsive on the phone. Matt called when he was on his way to my home and arrived a little before the appointment time. He was courteous, friendly and explained the work and possible solutions clearly. He was very careful to help keep my home clean even though this was very dirty work in the crawl space. He worked efficiently, cleaned up afterwards and gave me the numbers of other companies who could help with detecting the leak and cleaning up the "dirty" dirt in the crawl space. I am very pleased with Matt and Pipeline Plumbing.
Description of Work: Two issues to deal with: 1st - Drain pipe from kitchen sink was leaking kitchen waste water into the crawl space. Matt checked the whole length of the existing pipe and replaced most of it with new plastic pipe. He gave me a couple of options and then worked quickly to replace the pipe as requested. 2nd - Trouble shoot a possible leak. in the second bathroom. Matt checked in the crawl space, checked the water meter for any indication of water useage and narrowed down area where the leak may be. No visible leak was found, but he gave me the name/number of a leak detection company.

We hired Pipeline Plumbing through a contractor. After getting multiple bids, they had the best price. The total project took only two days and they did their best to make sure we had water as much of the time as possible. The two gentleman who came out were very nice and professional. For plumbing needs in the future, whether at this house or the next, we will hire Pipeline Plumbing again.
Description of Work: Pipeline Plumbing re-piped the entire system under our 1,000 sq ft house. This included piping to the washer, kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, and water heater. They also installed a main shut off in the garage.

They are really courteous and efficient, and they come out usually within a couple of days. For the water heater, they were here the same day. We are regular customers and I guess they give us some kind of priority. I thought that their price was kind of high but plumbers are expensive. I had used them even before we joined Angie?s List and I was happy to see them on the list.
Description of Work: We have hired Pipeline Plumbing to do some kitchen remodeling work for us, and so they’ve been back and forth. This time around they did some rough-in plumbing work, and about a month ago, they did a water heater for us.

I called Monday morning but there was a tech out due to an injury :( Was told that they would try to get here as soon as possible but perhaps not until Wed morning. Alex told me that they would try to get someone out to me today between 1-3pm if possible. I received a call at 12:30 pm that there was someone avail to come over. Yay! The service took around 30 min and my drains are awesome! Thank you so much and I will use you again in the future.
Description of Work: When our washing machine was draining, it would back up into a nearby shower causing a huge mess! They snaked the shower drain and the drain for the wash machine. Also, we were advised to eventually upgrade to a larger size drain pipe that will be able to handle draining the wash machine.

Pipeline and its subcontractors did an excellent job. They came out on Monday morning, did a thorough check of all possible sources of leakage, isolated the leak and commenced the repair as soon as permits could be obtained and drilling subcontractors located. They replaced PVC pipe with a synthetic material that can withstand the weather here and is flexible and durable in moving earth. The only problem encountered was with a deeply buried, high pressure irrigation line that belonged to the home owner's association. Because city code does not require irrigation lines to carry a tracer wire, there was no way to know this way present. It doesn't show up in either the house plans or the subdivision/development plan. Nevertheless, one of their subcontractors fractured a pipe while digging carefully around the other utilities. The contractor accepted responsibility and finished repairing the irrigation line quickly. Overall, this was one of the most favorable experiences I've ever had with any plumbing work.

Arrived on time, did excellent and efficient work, finished in 1.5 hour and left with everything clean. Hourly charge included apprentice which made it rather expensive. Hourly rate goes down with more hours of work. So next time would try to have more jobs for them to do at once.

After taking three bids, accepted Pipeline's bid, although not the least expensive, but they were ready to replace the pipe the next day. Everything went as planned, pipe installed, water restored. Minimal yard disruption. Crew very neat. City inspector required grounding before signing off, so their subcontracor, Badger Electrical, came out and put in a ground. Also top rate.

The estimate was made by Adam Faren, the owner. He was on time, professional, complete, and understood what we wanted of them. His estimate was complete and detailed. He did not try to sell us any extra work. The crew actually called the day before they were scheduled to arrive to see if they could start a day early. This was fine with us. The kitchen sink drain was the biggest unknown because we didn't know if it was properly vented and they had to pull the dishwasher to find out. The solution was simple and clean. They simply capped the drain behind the DW, cut a new hole through floor into the basement and tied into the existing main line drain and vents. This meant they didn't have to tear any holes in walls or install any in-wall vents. They had to do a fair amount of work to run the supply lines for the washer that included cleaning up a bunch of the cobbled-together plumbing from the previous owner. The result was nice and neat. They fixed the standalone utility sink drain, removed the undersized washer drain, tied them all together and installed the proper venting. The gas line was a relatively simple run from an existing T. It took the crew of two all of a full day just like was estimated. We ended up having some drips from the new fittings under the sink. When we realized it we called the office and they scheduled a 12-4 appointment window for the day we were moving into the house. It wasn't optimum, but we figured it could work. The same guys showed up to check the leak as did the work. The timing worked out well as the movers were just about done. He took the drain apart, re-sealed it and re-installed it. All without a complaint or any extra charge. We haven't had a leak since.
Description of Work: We had just purchased the home and needed some repairs and modifications before moving in. First was the kitchen sink drain ran uphill, filled with water and as a result drained slowely. Then we needed the hookups for the washer moved and the proper size drain line installed. We also needed a gas line run for the dryer. Finally we asked them to reverse the hot-cold on the upstairs bath.

It went pretty well. They were on time. They were professional. They had the right equipment. Everything was done properly. They did really nice work. They told me that they had to come by and do some adjustments in the morning, rather than just blowing me off like they could have by telling me the job was done. There was an off the cuff bid and after they got into the job they noticed that it was going to be more. They were very good about explaining the issue and it was only a few hundred dollar discrepancy. When I called them they sent me out a statement detailing everything with no problem. I was understanding of the issue. The quality of the work was great.

The company was easy to deal with initially, sent Erik Johnsen (their "Service Plumber") who arrived on time, surveyed the problems, handled all the difficulties he encountered, maintained a professional and personable attitude, and completed all the work to the highest standards. Based on this example, I recommend this firm highly and offer it my thanks.

Pipeline Plumbing was great from beginning to end. They first gave me an estimate of reinstalling the tub spout, and confirmed that they could do it without having to overhaul and replace all the existing plumbing like the other plumber had insisted. They also confirmed that they had done this sort of work before, having existing fixtures replated into a newer, more desirable finish and reinstalling them. After the spout was replated, they came out and reinstalled the fixture. It took some time and effort but they did an excellent job.
Description of Work: I needed to have my newly replated tub spout installed after it had been removed by another plumbing company (that would not reinstall it unless I paid for a complete overhaul of my plumbing rough/finish at the cost of approximately $1,200). The job required Pipeline Plumbing to come out and perform an estimate of work, confirming that the existing tub spout could be safely replaced. They then needed to come back after the spout was replated, to reinstall the spout. I also got an estimate from Pipeline of what it would cost to entirely replace all the rough/finish plumbing, in case the fixture could not be replaced after all, and they bid the complete rough/finish overhaul at $700 (as compared to the $1,200 the previous plumber had bid). There was some time pressure and difficulty associated with this job, because the previous plumber to bid on the job had removed my fixture and would not replace it unless I paid for the complete overhaul ($1,200 job). Pipeline Plumbing would have to reinstall a fixture that another plumber had already removed.

I thought they were very expensive, but they did a very good job. They charged me for the plumber and the apprentice even though I only asked for one plumber to come out, but I guess that is how it goes. I was really impressed with their workmanship, but I just really wish it would cost less. I will, however, hire them again because they do good work and I trust them.

I had purchased the recirculating pump (a device that gets hot water to the tap in three seconds). It was sold as a do-it-yourself item. I do not think this is the case. Brian called it a piece of cake, but it looked pretty intense to me. He had it up and installed in a couple of hours. Indeed, for a layperson, this device involved too many pieces and required that a valve be attached under the sink upstairs. He also addressed and fixed a very annoying water hammer in the upstairs bathroom. For this he had to hunt down the required parts and drive back into town to get them. I was grateful that he took the time to get the job done in one visit. Brian was enthusiastic and informative. He was very patient as he explained what he needed to do to fix the water hammer. He also took time to explain how the recirculating pump works and how to program it to maximize its efficacy. PS: He always remembered to take off his shoes, as he moved from the dirty garage to the upstairs master.
Description of Work: Brian installed a new recirculating pump off the water heater, and he installed two sensor valves under the master sink. He also took care of a 'water hammer' in the upstairs bathroom evident in both sinks.

Their service is top rate. They were the only one out of the three places that I called who called back right away. The men who gave the estimate and did the work were all very pleasant and professional. Adam, who did the estimate was also helpful and honest in answering the many questions we had and gave us good advice. The two men who did the work were also very professional, friendly, and efficient. I offered to give them a tip (to buy their lunch) but they would not take it. I am extremely pleased with this company. They are timely, professional, and honest.
Description of Work: Original problem was a corroded gas pipe which led us to find the leaking water pipes. Size of water heater was also not adequate. Replaced gas pipes and put on new valves. Also relocated to conform to code. Replaced leaking water pipes. Replaced water heater with larger one, and properly placed and secured it to meet code.

They are just the worst scandal ever, they said it was eighty five dollars an hour. But they didn't tell me they charged sixty five dollars an hour for the apprentice. So I was charged almost double after three days. The guy that was doing the work just spent a lot of time scratching his head. There was just a lot of running around for parts and I ended up getting bills for them when it was not my fault. We are actually suing them. Response from Pipeline Plumbing & Drains
IN RESPONSE TO THESE CONCERNS AND FALSE ACCUSATIONS FOR THIS WORK HAD BEEN DONE APPROXIMATELY 2-YEARS AGO (SEPT. 2006): OUR BILL FOR THE NEW FULL BASEMENT BATHROOM, WITH STEAM SHOWER, TANKLESS WATER HEATER, OUTDOOR STAIRWELL FLOOR DRAIN, LAUNDRY SINK, NEW WATER SERVICE, STUBBED UP NEW DRAINAGE AND WATER FOR FUTURE UPSTAIRS BATHROOM REMODEL AND MUCH MORE AMOUNTED TO ABOUT 70% OF WHAT THE CUSTOMERS STATED COST WAS. WE CAN ONLY EMPATHIZE WITH THE FRUSTRATION OF THIS CUSTOMER'S EXPERIENCE AS SHE WAS ACTING AS HER OWN GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND HAD NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE AS A GENERAL CONTRACTOR. THIS, THEREFORE CAUSED US TO DO A LOT OF UNNECESSARY "HEAD SCRATCHING" AND RUNNING AROUND FOR THINGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE "GENERAL CONTRACTOR". THIS CUSTOMER ALSO OPTED TO HAVE THE WORK PERFORMED ON A TIME AND MATERIAL BASIS AS OPPOSED TO A BID, AS SHE STATED THE LAST GUY SHE HIRED WITH A BID "RIPPED HER OFF" WITH HER KITCHEN REMODEL. ONCE WE PULLED OFF THE JOB (WE COULD NOT GET ANY OF OUR EMPLOYEES TO WORK AT THIS CUSTOMER'S HOME AS THEY ALL FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE THERE), WE WERE ASKED BY THE CUSTOMER'S HUSBAND IF WE WOULD BE INTERESTED IN COMPLETING THE PROJECT AND AN UPSTAIRS BATHROOM REMODEL AND WE CHOOSE NOT TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON. WHEN WE LEARNED THAT ONE OF OUR OLD EMPLOYEES WAS IN FACT DOING DRUGS WITH THIS CUSTOMER IN HER HOME, WE TERMINATED THIS EMPLOYEE IMMEDIATELY. IN ADDITION, WE LOST A SCHEDULING COORDINATOR BECAUSE THIS CUSTOMER CONSTANTLY TRIED TO "RECRUIT" OUR COORDINATOR TO WORK FOR HER BUSINESS IN THE EVENINGS. THIS WAS AN UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH THIS CUSTOMER AND OUR COMPANY. WE TRY REALLY HARD TO ENCOURAGE HOMEOWNERS WITHOUT EXPERIENCE RUNNING LARGER PROJECTS TO WORK WITH A LICENSED GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO AVOID THESE UNNECESSARY FRUSTRATIONS.
