I have recommended this company to 2 friends because they do good work, quickly and professionally.
Description of Work: Bathroom shower cartridge need to be replaced because of dripping. After another handyman attempted to remove the handle and stripped the screw, Pipeline plumbing came to do the repair. The handle could not be removed without breaking it because of the stripped screw. The repair person explained this to me and said he would go to buy a new handle during our appointent. When my exact hadle was not available, he called and suggested a couple of alternative handles. I agreed on a substitute. He was able to replace the cartridge, correct the dripping and all within the 2 hours covered in the coupon.

I made an appointment to replace the faucet and garbage disposal. It was a little complicated because it was at my house where my mother-in-law lives across town. From the very beginning, this company was so wonderful to me. Terra did the scheduling and was incredibly patient and helpful with phone calls to let me know when I needed to go to the house to meet the plumbers. Matt showed up within the 2 hour window and got right to work. He let me watch and gave me a generous discount when he was finished. He took all the packaging with him and cleaned up his work area. Two days later, on Sunday, the water heater quit. Lori, one of the owners, called me first thing Monday morning to schedule with me that same day, to replace the water heater. I met Ryan at the house and he got right to work. It was a big job that took him approximately 3 hours. He cleaned up all the water that had leaked on the floor. When he was finished, it was like nothing had happened. Ryan also gave me an Angie's List discount. I just can't say enough good things about this company. Matt and Ryan both were so nice and did such a great job. I will not hesitate to hire them in the future.
Description of Work: First job: installed a new kitchen faucet and new garbage disposal performed on 11/30/12- cost $315.00 Second job: installed new 50 gallon gas water heater performed on 12/03/12- cost $931.00

Unfortunately, this visit resolved only one of the 3 issues I was hoping to address during my 2 hours for $99 offer. When I set up the appointment on the phone, and again when the plumber arrived, I went over the 3 things I hoped to accomplish: 1) My sink mounted water filter was running very slowly, and I was unable to get the cannister with the ceramic filter screwed in detached to check it out. 2) My shower, which has several different points of connections, was somewhat drippy- with a stream of water running from the handheld head when it should have been diverted to the upper shower. (Having had a plumber (from a different company) out to deal with this [not so successfully - though he did an interim fix with teflon tape] a few years ago, I cautioned them when I made the appointment that this requires an o ring or grommet of the right size, and please be sure that whomever they sent brought a full assortment) 3) My outdoor faucets have a vacuum seal piece on the top that seems to leak, running water fairly steadily down the side of the house whenever the hose is on. I was hoping to either fix this, or switch out the tap entirely for one that wouldn't leak. So, when the plumber arrived I showed him the three projects, and we began with: 1) Sink water filter- I suggested that it was possible that the only problem was the sink filter could be that it was clogged, and that maybe if we could just get it out of the casing it might be that simple. - he said he doubted that that was the problem, and spent a little while flipping the water on and off and watching it. When he did get under the sink and pull off the casing, I offered to rinse it and see if that helped- he said that wasn't the problem, and continued tinkering, and then pulled one of the inner seal o-rings out of the casing, he said it had been loose and in the wrong place, so now it should work. He handed me the o ring and told me that it would be all right without the extra seal, but that once it was out that one wasn't going to be able to be put back in. he put the casing back together and turned it on and nothing was different. So took it apart again and this time while he poked around more, I took the filter, which was clearly coated with ick, and rinsed and wiped it off, then handed it to him. He put it back in and lo and behold, the water flow was back to normal- so, while I did need help to get the casing unscrewed, his more complicated process didn't help, but the simplest answer of cleaning the filter worked great. 2) Bathroom Shower - Again, I had cautioned him about the previous plumber, who took apart the shower to find that he didn't have the right o rings..... as we walked into the bathroom I showed him the system, and where the water flow was and which knobs did what. he sat for several minutes turning the water on and off and watching the shower flow. When I slightly impatiently asked why he was still messing with it, He explained that even through I had explained and showed him, he needed to get a sense of how it all worked for himself before he could fix it. He then said that I have Sign of the Crab brand fixtures (the stuff they used to sell at Rejuvination) and that they had unusual pieces. He then took apart the four way diverter, and pulled several grommets and rings out, one of which was somewhat torn and which he pulled out and then tore in half after removing it. Ultimately, he went to the store (25 minutes) to try to find the right o- ring,(remember the part at the beginning when I specifically asked them to bring a full array?) came back with a box of 300 not one of which would fit. So at the end of it he reassembled the fixture, and told me I would have to go to a plumbing store in tigard where one of the employees might be able to help me order that piece. Unfortunately, without that piece that he tore in half after removing, the diverter wont stay when water pressure runs fully through, so now I have to spend half my shower standing on one foot and pushing the diverter button in with the other while I try to wash my hair..... So it's worse than when he started. (I sort of feel like plumbers should have a do-no-harm clause, that they should at the very least not make it worse!) 3) we didn't have time for the outside faucets at all, as he had arrived at 2, and it was already 4, and I wasn't feeling like I would trust him to remove the faucet on the outside of the house anyhow, and he was sort of talking about how he had blazers tickets and would be late already...... but I didn't even ask, because I certainly wasn't interested in expanding my 2 hours for $99 offer into any more time, and clearly he took a long time to complete (or not complete) the other two projects...... So sure, part of this is my fault, for asking a plumber to fix something as simple as a dirty filter - but that said, I would rather that he had tried the simple fix, found that it worked, looked at the shower fixture, even taken it apart as he did and ascertained that he would not be able to fix it (WITHOUT damaging the part that was currently part of making it work) ..... he explained that taking things apart slowly and methodically, and watching the water run is all part of his process - but overall, I felt like it was a waste of time. over all he was a nice guy, and their phone person was also nice, and they did get me an appointment within 2 days of calling, and maybe you can't really expect too much from $99 of plumbing. It is just unfortunate that he left my shower less functional than when he started and now I really need to go deal with finding this replacement piece, whereas before the slight drip while showering was a non-urgent annoyance.

They were very professional, quick, helpful, and effective! They solved a blocked drain issue in the basement of the rental property that had resisted repair in the past, despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. It has been several weeks, and the problem appears to finally be resolved. They also advised of a bio-friendly solvent that can keep the problem from recurring. They then came to our residence and installed a garbage disposal quickly and efficiently, and then replaced the lines in a sink that had split water tubes in the sink. So fast, friendly and GOOD.

We called Pipeline Plumbing at about 9:30 A.M. and the technician arrived about an hour later. We were extremely impressed with the professionalism of the technician, Jeff, and his helper. They were very careful to not create a mess. They took off their boots every single time that they entered the house...and there were a number of trips out to their truck. They used a drop cloth and left the bathroom immaculate. Jeff answered all of our questions in detail and showed us all the corroded parts of the dual flush assembly before we made a decision about whether to, for the short term, to go back to standard flush. He answered our questions about toilets that are engineered to be dual flush. He also described in detail the type of dual flush converter that might work better than the one which he had replaced. He wrote out a detailed description of what he had done, and his recommendations for a different convertor kit or where to go to find showrooms where we could view engineered dual flush toilets. He did recommend a couple of brands of dual flush toilets, but he did not try to push us to purchase a new toilet from him. He also gave us approximate prices for what we could expect in installation costs if we should decide to purchase the toilets on our own. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely use this company for our future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Repaired a dual flush conversion toilet problem where toilet was flushing by itself. Jeff, the technician, investigated the retrofit dual flush system which we had installed about a year ago. He checked the flush valve connection and discovered that it leaked. He attempted to fix the dual flush mechanism but found that the parts were corroded and unusable...He recommended not spending a lot of time trying to fix the dual flush system since it had deteriorated in a year and replacing parts would take time and necessitate another plumbing visit. He installed a standard flush system.

I bought a coupon for 2hrs of plumging services at 1/2 price. I received several calls to confirm and then let me know when the tech would arrive. Ryan was very knowledgable and fixed my primary issue with a plugged downstairs sink that the washer drains into and then fixed a slow draining sink in my only bathroom with his extra time. Total parts on top of the coupon was only $18. And while here he identified several looming issues that need addressed in the next 6-12 months for my very old home, and gave me a very reasonable quote for those services. I had a water main break this summer and Pipeline was the contractor to fix it. In both cases they were very responsive and professional, always give you a discount if multiple issues are fixed at once, and are very good at what they do. The quality of their work is exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone!

Perfectly smooth, start to finish; including quotes, time lines, project.
Description of Work: I have used the company 3 times. The largest service was to install a toilet. I don't remember the name of the young man that came out, but he was exceptionally courteous, professional. I felt like he was also a consultant in that he suggested what to do and not to do. On the toilet, he predicted what the problem would be about 1 year in advance. He was right. I checked around on cost...he was indeed comparable to the lowest price I could find, but with the excellent service, multiple times, I will continue to use them.

Two spigots in my house were running rusty water if they were left for a few days without being run. No problems with any other spigots in the house. I called two other plumbers before getting the referral to Pipeline. The first two plumbers said it wasn't a serious problem, would be very difficult to repair, and would cost something in the range of a few thousand dollars, minimum. Both indicated they really didn't see a need to do the job and suggested I live with it. However, I'm renting out my house shortly, and plan to put it on the market and did not want to leave this undone. Enter Ryan from Pipeline Plumbing. He said he couldn't know until he got into the wall, but he thought the problem was likely to be galvanized pipe nipples being installed when I had the bathroom redone, instead of brass ones. He looked around at some of the pipes he was able to see in other parts of the house, said the plumbing was copper and good, so it was likely to be the pipe nipples. He explained he would have to go in through the tile in the shower at the back of the one where the rusty water was coming out, and that he could fix the other faucet without going into the wall. It turned out to be exactly what he said. He fixed the plumbing, cut an opening exactly 3 square feet to get to the pipes, worked clean, and did the job in less time than he estimated. In the midst of all this, I had just had the house tested for lead, as recommended if you are renting. A miniscule amount of lead had shown up in the tile which meant Ryan would have to take some extra precautions. He was lead-certified, and did the work according to the proper rules. Other than the whole in the wall, you would not have any idea that someone had taken out a 3-square foot hole in a tile shower in that bathroom. It's totally free of dust and debris of any kind. He called me when he finished the job to tell me how it had gone and what he had done. I was extremely pleased. Now I just have to get the tile repaired, but my total cost with the tile repair included, is going to be about 1/3 of the ball park quotes I got from the plumbers who did not want to do the job. Hooray for Pipeline and Ryan!

Adam Faren, the owner came out the day after I called requesting an estimate. He provided the estimate about two hours after his visit. Pipeline's estimate was very competitive, they offered to start work the next day but we agreed to the day after. The project took 2 1/2 days to complete, and during the project a total 4 journeyman plumbers and one helper worked here, Matt was here for the entire project. You could not ask for a nicer more competent group of men. They were all friendly, and really were totally customer oriented. The water pressure inside the house is greatly increased but especially to the two 2nd story bathrooms. The city's plumbing inspector commented that the workmanship was topnotch. Matt explained everything and left the house as clean as when they started working. This was a very pleasant experience.
Description of Work: Replaced galvanized plumbing from the point water enters the house to the water heater, kitchen, 1st floor bath, garage utility sink and connected PEX pipe to the copper lines feeding the 2nd story bathrooms. They also installed one new hose bib and replaced another with non freezing faucets. The new pipe was insulated. All accessible old pipes were removed

My main supply line ruptured under my driveway due to tree root intrusion. I called Pipeline after reading about them on Angies list. They answered the phone immediately and had someone at my house for an estimate same day (although I do not recall the exact timeline). They explained that they could not start for about 5-6 days, which was OK since I was leaving on a business trip. That may inconvenience others, but 2 other companies that I called did not return my call immediately. Perry was very courteous and up front about the job details. They arrived at 8:00 am and started digging at the ground entry point at the main and exit point by the foundation. The rest of the crew and equipment arrived before noon and started the horizontal boring. I would say that they were finished by 5. They relocated and replaced the pressure regulator to be inside my crawl space vs. at the curb for easy access, and explained how to adjust it. They also recommended that I keep the pressure on the low side to avoid premature failure of faucets and fixtures. Overall I wish that my pipe had not ruptured in the first place, but since it did, these guys fixed me right up. I highly recommend them!
