That was fine. I don't know if it was bad. But I didn't like it much. The technician, they did a fine job doing what I asked them to do. But the techinican had indicated that it was wise to run some sort of piping under our water heater out to our back wall and give me a quote on that. I wasn't convinced that it was necessary.

I was very impressed with both of the men they sent out. They went above and beyond to be helpful and answered all of my questions. Even though they were called out to fix a leaky shower - they stayed and fixed a leaking sink - and a dripping bathtub. I would definitely call them back in a second if I ever needed another plumber!
Description of Work: Called them out to fix a shower that was leaking. While they weren't able to fix the issue (will need a contractor) they were able to diagnose the problem. They then went above and beyond helping me with other plumbing problems. Fixed a kitchen sink that was leaking, and a bathtub that wouldn't turn off all the way.

This job required the coordinated effort of Plumbers (Pipeline Plumbing), Electricians (Square 1 Electric) and Demolition & Repair (BT Construction & Maintenance). The electrician was required to install a new grounding system. Pipeline and BT reviewed what demolition was required to expose pipes. Holes in walls, ceilings & bathroom tile were made by BT. With that done, Pipeline was able to install new PEX pipe along with pressure regulators, faucet valves - - -. Replacement of some fixtures (toilets, sinks) was then put on hold while BT made all repairs to walls, ceilings and bathroom tiles. We did the painting of the walls to match currents colors. Once that was accomplished Pipeline was able to come back and install remaining toilet and sink. Total project took longer than anticipated basically due to delays in the availability of specific workers. There was also a few days delay due to the difficulty of finding tile to match existing tiles, and having them cut down to size of the older tiles. Any project of this complexity will have such delays, but we always had working facilities to use. There was a problem with the initial installation of the tile, but BT brought in another worker (Jim) with much more experience in tile work who redid the tile to our relief. They had warned us that matching tile (actually marble) can be difficult, but the final work looks great and the new tiles and grout closely match the old ones. The work done by Pipeline was very professional, and Nolan who did the work was a joy to work with.
Description of Work: Replaced whole house water pipes along with a new grounding system and pressure regulator. Did not replace water pipe from street to house.

A plumber and an apprentice showed up right on time. They were polite and professional, and they went right to work on our sewer line problem. The plumber explained to us what he planned to do, and then checked in with us as steps occurred. We'd had a flood in the basement that our regular plumber couldn't resolve (they recommended hydrojetting). Pipeline was able to clear the blockage, and they also gave us a good rate on snaking out the overflow drain. We were able to watch the camera as it went through the line, and saw the issues with our sewer pipe. Service was good, and the plumber and apprentice did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Not impressed. One day before our project was going to start they called me and said there was an emergency and they had to reschedule me. I figured a few days or so but she told me it would be 17 days!!! That told me they wanted to put me off for a much higher paying job not because they couldn't get the water on at another home owners. I said no that is not ok. After a few hours she called me back to say they would be there. I asked her how long to except the job to take and she said 5 days. It's did not take 5 days it took 10 days! They said they overbooked themselves and had no helper to send to our plumber. Needless to say big inconvenience! Nothing had been going right from the beginning. Then come to find out if we wanted the new water lines ran to our dishwater and refrigerator that was extra. I was never asked or told this when Perry was here giving me the big. After everything was finally done and the inspector came, he noted some thing that needed to be changed. Pipeline tried to charge me extra for the items they had not done. We had them install our new tub and that ended up with fractures. Of course they denied it being there fault. I ended up calling in my own final inspection. They didn't even ask for a copy of the final. The communication from this company is not good. I would not use them again.

Response from Pipeline Plumbing & Drains
Hello (member name removed) Thank you so much for your feedback. Good or bad we really appreciate all of the reviews. We learn from the good and the bad. One of the hardest things to manage in our business is the schedule. As you can imagine sometimes in plumbing work we come across the unexpected. During the time of your project that is exactly what happened. We do NOT prioritize our jobs based on what the cost or how much they are worth. When we are working on a job for someone, we cannot leave until it is finished. That was the scenario during your scheduled project. We had a large project double in size in the middle of the project with several residences affected from it as it was a small apartment building. I really do apologize for how it came across making you feel. Your project took longer than expected because we primarily had one plumber on the job. Sometimes 2 people working on a job together (as we wanted for your project) can make the job go more than twice as fast as it does with one person. We really are sorry for the way that this project went for you. If there is anything you feel like we can do to make it feel more like you had hoped, please feel free to give me a call to discuss this further. We do take an enormous amount of pride from our Angie's List reviews and the service we provide so it is really important if there is a way to make it right we do. Thanks again for your feedback, Adam Faren

Everything went very smoothly - we purchased a Big Deal for $200 worth of services, labor only and with that the plumber connected our new sink to the existing piping. We'd tried to do it on our own but the main pipe was too long and since it would require cutting the pipe in the wall we didn't want to tackle it. The gentleman also fixed the drain plunger thing that we hadn't installed quite right. It is nice and clean and tidy looking now. He also checked out our broken garbage disposal and indicated it hadn't been installed very well, we had already purchased a new one in case the current one couldn't be fixed and we decided to go ahead and just have it replaced instead of repaired. He removed the old garbage disposal and replaced it with our new one and the connections look much better than they did before. We're thrilled with the result. He also took the old one away with him.

After the provider assessed the problems with the toilet, he gave me his estimate and said he could complete half the project immediately. I would have to pay the service call fee, parts and labor for half the job since he did not have all the parts in his truck to complete the job fully. He would have to come back a second day to finish. I would be charged another service call fee, plus parts and labor on the second half of the project. I asked, "Could I pay one service call fee if I had you come back and do all the work in a single day?" He replied, "No we assess a service call fee to every visit. So whether I do work today or not you will be charged the fee for today and the day I come back." I told him that I was told by the office that estimates were free. There was no qualifier that a work contract had to be signed or service call fee needed to be paid. He was very nice about the whole thing and didn't argue or try to charge me, but it was awkward. It felt manipulative. I did not like the idea of paying two fees when the only reason the project would take 2 days is because he didn't not have all the parts required.

The leak point had been detected and marked on a concrete sidewalk by American Leak Detection in late November and getting it fixed by Pipeline Plumbing was arranged on 11/26/2014. Two guys, Mr. Nolan Misner and his assistant, came out on time and did the job. It took about one and a half hours until finding the break. They went to a hardware store to buy the replacement parts and got it fixed. Re-doing the concrete sidewalk was done by anothor vendor of their choice, Rick, the next day and the cost of it was included in the total amount.

Original feedback: I had called pipeline and scheduled an estimate on a project. I arranged my work schedule to be home at the agreed upon time. 40 minutes after Adam was supposed to be here he called on the phone and basically said he wasn't interested in the job. I then was trying to ask him a few questions when he hung up on me mid sentence. I was cordial and courteous and trying to understand where he was coming from, but found him terse, unprofessional, and uncourteous. He should have contacted me earlier and not scheduled the estimate if he isn't interested. There is no chance I will use them again, and would encourage others to not waste your time with this company. They wasted mine and was simply unprofessional. In response to Adam's response. My impression is that he was the 'aggressive' and is simply being disingenuous and inaccurate in describing me as such. He asked some questions and I repeated what I had said on the phone when I scheduled the estimate -- that I was looking for a company to install a main from the street to the house. I also said that I did want to do much of the project on my own in terms of the work in the house, which is what I had said originally when scheduling the estimate. Doesn't seem that we disagree about that part. let's simply review the facts. -I had scheduled an appointment for Pipeline to give me an estimate to install a new water main from the street to the house. He asked about the rest of the project and I do plan to do most of that on my own, but as I said on the phone, I was still interested in having an estimate for the part of the project where I would do nothing, and was open to hearing what estimate they would give for the rest of the project. -He said they don't work with customers. I have no problem with this, and this didn't in any way change the original estimate I had requested. This is his choice as a business owner and I respect that. -His call didn't come until well after the agreed upon time to meet. I had worked my schedule around the estimate and was disappointed that it wasn't merely a bit late because a previous appointment went over, but seemed to be looking for a reason not to come out. -I never heard him say anything about 'wishing me luck' or 'goodbye'. I was mid sentence when the phone simply went dead as I was trying to ask him a question for clarification. it was a short call, so it isn't as if we had lots of time to discuss. My rating is because Pipeline plumbing didn't do what they said they would do. They didn't come to the property as they said they would so this is the only feedback I can give. Had he come to the property and discussed it at that point this feedback would probably be different. Adam was terse and uncourteous on the phone, including hanging up mid-sentence. The company motto is 'where quality meets integrity'; I am simply letting other Angie's list users know that this has not been my experience. I don't like to waste other's people time, and I don't like it when my time is wasted and when companies make commitments they don't keep.

Response from Pipeline Plumbing & Drains
We are sorry you feel that this was the level of service you received. To be very clear we see it differently. My appointment before yours ran late and I called you the minute I was done with my previous appointment to let you know I was running late. As you know, sometimes appointments can run late and we do like to give our customers the time it takes to go through their projects in as much detail is needed. I read the notes that were put into your appointment prior to the scheduled time. Once I read the notes and realized you wanted to do the whole job yourself, I thought I would save some time and see if we could talk through some of this over the phone. When you aggressively stated over the telephone that "you were not all thumbs and can do plumbing yourself.", I simply said we do not do projects where we work with homeowners helping us. I offered to give you the name of some companies that may be interested in that, then you again were aggressive telling me that you wanted me to still come over and go over your whole project with you. I again let you know we were not interested in working on a project like that and wished you good luck and said goodbye. Even when I was trying to help you, you were still getting mad and aggressive and really that is just not the type of business we are comfortable doing or sending our plumbers too. I will say this seems unfair that you are able to come across so harshly about Pipeline Plumbing when all this was is you not calling a company that was the right fit for your needs. I am sorry this wasn't made clear to you right when you made the appointment and do feel like I tried all I could to make it right by letting you know that when we spoke. I will close by saying that it is very important to us that our clients feel like we are delivering a high quality level of service. It seems by your review you do not feel like that you have received that and we are sorry to hear that of course and even more sorry that you can share such bad info without us even going to your property. We do hope that you find the right plumber for you and wish you the best of luck with that. Regards, Adam

I called Pipeline because they had installed my new garbage disposal a couple months prior, and I was impressed by their professionalism and the work that was done. I called on a Wednesday and was told they could fit me in on Friday (due to it being the kitchen sink). I was told the plumber would be there between 2-4 pm. He showed up at around 2:45 and was done in less than 30 minutes. Again, I was impressed with the work and the plumber; however, I was NOT impressed with the bill, it was $200 for less than 30 minutes of work. I paid it, of course, however, I had a horrible feeling all weekend about that transaction. I was very unhappy. I expect to pay for any services done at my house, but I could not stop thinking that was extensive. I emailed Pipeline over the weekend because it just was not sitting right and explained that the work was great and the people were great, but that price was not. To my complete surprise Terra emailed me back before 8:30 on Monday and was so sympathetic to my concerns. She explained all the pricing to me and she made me feel much better about that transaction. Apparently, professionalism and caring are apart of that companies MOTTO. I am so impressed that I will be having them come over for a THIRD time to fix some other piping issues it have. So, I guess I went from feeling like I was pinned up against a wall and paying way too much for a service, to feeling happy and hopeful that more companies like this are still out there. Thank you Pipeline!

Pipeline Plumbing is a very professionally run business. Terra, the office contact, was always friendly, courteous and answered all of my many questions. She also provided pricing for a higher efficiency water heater based on a part number I supplied. This was not an emergency purchase. I wanted to replace my 17 year old natural gas water heater before it failed to avoid any unwanted surprises. Once I made the purchase through Angie's List, Terra sent an email within 2 business hours offering a tentative schedule. Pipeline Plumbing sent me an email through Angie's List asking if they could perform the work earlier on the same date as originally agreed to. Terra also attempted to contact me by phone. Their request was made 24 hours in advance of the first scheduled service. This was not a problem on my end and the change was accepted. Mark, the installer, arrived on time. He was courteous, and conducted himself is a professional manner. He performed his work in a neat, orderly fashion. He was careful with my property, including the water heater. He left his work area clean and removed all materials including the old water heater. He answered my questions and was very knowledgeable. They installed the model of water heater as quoted. There were no additional charges. I would highly recommend using Pipeline Plumbing.

Pipeline plumbing went to my rental yesterday and worked with my tenant. Her hot water had been out for 4 days so Pipeline went out of their way to get there as soon as possible. They weren't able to replace the water heater because the venting goes through another apartment unit and requires more investigation and disruption of another tenant. It will require additional costs as well. Pipeline was able to get the tenants water heater working for now. They said I could get a full refund.

I took advantage of an Big Deal to get a new water heater to replace the 20+ year old water heater that was in the house we just moved into. The work was scheduled for 9/22/2014 but I woke up on the 18th to find water running out of the bottom of the heater and down the garage floor out into the driveway. A slightly panicked call to Pipeline to outline my dilemma resulted in the appointment being moved to that afternoon. Ryan Benson, the plumber who has now been out on my last 4 jobs, preformed the job professionally and quickly. Pipeline has become my go to Plumbing Company and, hopefully, Ryan has become my go to plumber.

We had moved objects away from the water heater, and were prepared for the workman when he arrived.eHe arrived on time and began the removal process immediately by shutting off the gas and the water inflow, and draining the tank out to the street in front of the house. He then disconnected the water and gas lines, and had the tank out in about 20 minutes. The tank was taken to the company utility truck, and a new water tank was unloaded and moved into place in the garage. It would not fit on the old stand, so the workman explained he had to leave to get a stand of suitable size. The warehouse was not far, and the workman was back in about 30 minutes with a suitable stand for which we paid extra because it was not part of the Angies list deal. Then, he mounted the new tank, made the connections to the gas and water systems, tested for leaks, and waited for the new water heater to fill. After a final check and running the faucets to assure that hot water was coming through, he removed his tools, did the paperwork, and departed. He was amicable and the water heater has run perfectly since installation, and we are totally satisfied.
Description of Work: Removed old water heater and replaced with a new one , and a support stand for the new water heater.
