Description of Work: I found L & N Roofing on Angie's List and asked for their bid after receiving two others in July. I agreed to the bid by Loren in mid-July. Hot summer weather slowed his business but on October 2 they began work, including a complete tear-off, CDX plywood underlayment, 30 yr algae resistant Owens-Corning comp shingles with color-coordinated pipe vents and flashing, valleys, and continuous air vents along the top. Best roof in my 30 years here. His crew worked 4 days and came back to work a few hours on the 5th day to perform more calking. I heartily recommend this business for the roof of your dreams.

Description of Work: Tore off old roof. Installed a new roof; replaced rotten plywood; extended roof by adding eaves. Loren, the owner was always supervising his workers to make sure that they will finish the job in the time he promised. The crew was polite, professional and worked hard.The roof looks much nicer now than before. Our house was built very poorly, a lot of mistakes were made and cheap material was used. So after L&N Roofing installed the new roof and repaired what was needed, the house looks nicer. It still has many imperfections but this has nothing to do with L&N Roofing but with the original builder of the house. I will recommend this company to my friends.

Description of Work: unbelievable, Stu came out went over all my options for owens corning..they had to wait until after the rain stopped..completely removed my old roof, installed the highest grade-architectural Sedona owens corning for practically 1/3 the price I was quoted by Sears....I am so in love with this guy!!. He knew I was trying to refinance the house and was on a limited budget..he lives in the neighborhood and said he knows people are having a hard time right now and he tries to be as helpful and reasonably priced as possible! Wait a kind soul!

+ 0 moreWe got estimates from 5 different roofers. Two bids were extremely high (well over $20,000), so we concentrated on the three others which were in the $6,000 range. These three were less than $500 apart from each other. L&N was not quite?the lowest, but I was impressed with the estimator (one of the owners) - his demeanor, friendliness, and knowledge.? For a $6,000 job, spending a couple hundred more?was trivial compared to?hiring the people I liked.? Work took four days (it's a fairly large roof, including a flat portion, two-car garage and two-car carport) and was done by 5-6 men per day.? The workers were all friendly, happy to answer my questions,?and worked hard,?and they were very conscientious about our occasional needs to come in & out of the garage or carport.? They also worked well with our small dog - making sure to close the fence gates so that she wouldn't escape.? Gutters were installed just as I'd requested, so that they'd drain properly.? The workers did a *great* job of cleaning up after themselves each night - no problems with nails on the driveway or anything else (a different roofer, used years ago for repairs due to a tree falling on the carport, led to a nail in my foot and a tetanus shot!).? The work began and ended on time, on budget, and according to the estimate.? I'll be happy to use this company again, and have already recommended them to others - including my own father.
Description of Work: Removing a 30-year-old (!) roof and replacing it. Included new gutters all around the house. New plywood base in several spots was required due to previous poor installation leading to rot (no paper backing!). Home is in a very wooded area, which led to lots of moss growth on the roof. Replaced with new algae-resistant shingles to help prevent moss growth. Included new roof vents where none existed before. Included a sealed rubberized roof on the part of the home which has a flat roof. Four days of work from 5-6 men per day.

+ -1 moreTook a couple hours to remove old moss and roof on day one and covered roof with ARPS on second day. Took three hours to put the whole thing done. It was made right. Men were very nice, no cussing, cleaned up most of the mess. Just left some roofing on one side of the house.
Description of Work: L&N Roofing has took off old moss and old roofing, replaced some roof boards and re-roofed.
