Description of Work: During the winter of 2011, I had a roof leak over my master bath area. I called Roberts Roofing, and Robert himself came out that same day, and repaired an area around a roof vent pipe. He said squirrels or something had been chewing on the rubber gasket around the pipe. The repair held, until the following winter, when it leaked again. I called him back, and he said there was nothing wrong that he could find. It appeared to me from my inspection in the attic area, that the water was just running down the side of the vent pipe and leaking straight into my master bath. He looked and said that was not the case. He dumped about a gallon of tar on my roof in the area affected, and said if it didn't work, to call a plumber...he thought a water pipe in my ceiling was leaking (there are no water pipes in my ceiling). Sure enough, a few months later, the leake returned, and I did call a plumber, just to be sure that was not the problem. That visit cost me an additional $90,on top of the 2 $500 charges for "Roof Maintenance" charged by Roberts. The plumber confirmed that there was no plumbing in the ceiling, and actually took pictures of the water running down the outside of the vent pipe and dripping into my bathroom. I then called Gresham Roofing, who came out, and within two days had scraped off the gallon of tar, replaced all the roofing shingles around the problem area, told me they had had this complaint with other customers of Roberts Roofing, charged me $600, and went on their way. This repair has held up fine. I fully intend to replace my roof in the next few years, and you can bet I will not be calling Roberts Roofing to do the job.

Description of Work: We developed a small leak in the roof. They came and gave us an estimate to repair the hole but ended up doing much more work than that!!

Description of Work: Tear off all layers of roofing, had some dry rot and roof was flying away. Replaced with a 30 year roof. Have an add-on over the garage.

Description of Work: Total tear off of 3 layer roofing composite shingles, repaired tree damage, then re-roofed entire house. Added 2 2x4 foot skylights & 2 14" solar tubes. VERY POOR COMMUNICATION! Job took longer than expected. Still is not finished with no deadline in sight. Solar tube broken with no comment about fixing it. Flashing unfinished on skylights. Unmindful of landscaping, need for access to garage, or of pets' needs. Garbage left out to blow down the street into the neighbors' yards. Work was NOT performed in the manner which it was advertised. When the job was not complete, they demanded payment. Owner VERY uninterested in hearing our comments about work performed. Office staff very rude & unreceptive. I'm extremely disappointed as some common courtesy would have taken care of most of these problems. When we asked to dispose of a board ourselves rather than have them charge us $50 for disposal, they just padded the number of hrs needed for installation to make up the difference in price.

Description of Work: I had 4 roofs done, and referred 3 clients to this roofer. All seemed well. Then in Dec. 2005 another roof was completed and the barge boards were not primed as per the contract. I paid $5290 of the bill and held out $195 for the barge boards. These boards had been installed but not primed. After heated arguments, they decided that they wanted an $82 late fee, because I withheld & they threatened to take me to collections. I am appalled at the lack of respect they exhibited for a good customer with loads of referrals. We are still arguing at this point 2/8/06. I am going to complete the painting and send them the balance of the bill less the painting. I think when a job is complete then pay.

Description of Work: I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO GIVE ME AN EVALUATION OF MY ROOF, WHAT IT NEEDED, AND HOW MUCH IT MIGHT COST. HE CALLED ME, BUT NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT, AND NEVER CONTACTED ME AGAIN.

Description of Work: WHEN WE HAD A NEW WINDOW INSTALLED IN OUR LIVING ROOM, WE DECIDED TO HAVE A SMALL DORMER WINDOW INSTALLED ABOVE IT AND NEEDED TO HAVE A LITTLE ROOFING DONE.

Description of Work: WE NEEDED ROBERT'S ROOFING SERVICE TO COME OUT AND REPLACE AND REPAIR A SMALL SECTION OF ROOFING.
