"They were very accommodating to My time. They called me immediately and arranged to come the next morning on time. The repair man had a challenging time Moving my refrigerator. He worked slowly and steady apologized for taking so long. My refrigerator stopped working he showed me that the compressor was fine. it was the fan needed to be cleaned. Their price was fair and they told me toward the end what the cost would be. I would definitely recommend them and if I need another appliance fixed I would surely call Them refrigerator stopped"

Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.
"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"I recently purchased a Fairly new Amana Washer and Dryer set from these Grifters,, the washer was not balanced and made a terrible Racket. They picked it up, returning it a week later telling me it's Fixed. Upon using the washer it was still not balanced and made the same Noise as before. Steve offered to swap out the Amana set with a much Older Kennmore set. I agreed, upon using the replacement set the Dryer Screeched like metal on metal brake pads, unbearable to listen to. So again Active picked up the Dryer returning it several days later, telling me it was fixed. NOPE upon using it the Screeching sound was still present. Next, Active swapped the Kennmore Dryer for an Old Maytag Dryer. Active told me the Maytag Dryer worked great.. NOPE the maytag Dryer does not Spin, makes noise and doesn't work, I AM NOT KIDDING.. Absolutely Fed Up I Demanded they pick up their dysfunctional equipment and refund the $795I paid. As of 10/27/23 ACTIVE REFUSES TO TAKE CARE OF THIS. I will see Active in Court soon I am Sueing them for Fraudulent Practices and seeking Maximum Penalties for Deceptive Business Practices."
