As soon as my contractor told me he couldn't repair the sink, I checked Angie's List for a plumber recommendation. Mike Patterson Plumbing was at the top of the list with a very favorable rating as recently as 12/5/12. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told that they could not have someone visit until the next morning, around mid morning which was more than acceptable. Gabe called to let me know he was on his way to our home. This was earlier than I anticipated so I was very pleased. After arriving and assessing what needed to be done, Gabe explained the work to be performed and let me know what the base charges would be which I found to be reasonable. Gabe had to track the clog pretty far down the plumbing, basically where it empties to the pipe to the sewer. He was very courteous and professional explaining what needed to be done. He kept the area very clean, using tarps to cover the work area which I really appreciated since the kitchen had just been newly remodeled. During the visit, Gabe pointed out where we might see potential for leaking pipes. Our home is 100 years old and we have no idea when the pipes may have been installed. We've been here since 1986 and this is the first plumbing problem we've had in the kitchen. After Gabe's visit, we know what to watch for to catch leaks as soon as possible. Overall, the service Gabe delivered was prompt, courteous, and complete. I will definitely call Mike Patterson Plumbing the next time I need a plumber.

Nick arrived early for his appointment, he determined what needed to be done and completed the task quickly. I will be using this company for all of my future plumbing needs.

Nick arrived and was supportive and professional. He explained what was causing the problem and options for fixing it for the long term. He was very efficient. We were happy with the results and the price.

It went very well. They had replacement parts that were superior to those I had purchased at a home improvement store. There should not be problems for several years.

They were nice. They did not finish. They run out of time, so, I never got the job finished. I would use them if the other service provider is not available.

They did not have anyone available until the following week, but I was able to temporarily plug the leak so I went ahead and scheduled the repair for the first part of the following week. The repairman was running a little behind schedule, but called to indicate that fact and gave an adjusted estimated arrival time. Which was not much longer than the originally schedule time. When he arrived he was very professional and got right to work. Due to the age of the home and how the drain was originally plumbed he was going to have to remove a large section. He explained the whys and how?s before beginning the work. He completed the task much sooner than I expected and the finished product was much better than the original. We were very satisfied and will be using their services again.

Nick did a great job! He explained what he would do, told us when he had to do some unexpected drilling to access the sink, performed the job efficiently, and cleaned up afterward. He also gave us a heads up about our Wirsbo piping; it's not causing a problem, but he told us to watch for possible leaks at the junction of the pipe and brass fitting (I think that was the questionable area), as it was apparently a non-standard hookup. He didn't try to sell us on doing the job now, just said to watch it. The faucets look great, and we are very pleased with the work he did!

Was totally dissatisfied with the visit. The technician took apart the plumbing underneath kitchen sink in order to install new faucet which was accomplished satisfactorily however, he complained bitterly and constantly about the cramped space under the sink, the job that previous plumbers had done & the condition of the disposal, pipes and valves. Ultimately, after the faucet install, he couldn't reconnect the garbage disposal and said that we needed a new one. He also could not repair the instant hot water dispenser which is 4 years old told me they only last a couple years anyway and we would need new one. We bought a new disposal from him which he installed satisfactorily. He then went into bathroom to look at the shower faucet and told me he wasn't familiar with grohe so could not perform the repair. He was here 3.5 hours and the bill was $441.50. If the plumbers at this company are not trained to work on specific vendors i.e. Grohe that should be made clear to customer prior to booking the appointment - I would have called a different company.

Gabe arrived on time. I explained the problem of the leak under the kitchen sink, and whatI had done to analyze the problem. He quickly discerned the problem and fixed it. As thisdid not take up the entire time, he asked me if there were other issues that I needed tobe addressed. He was very informative. I was extremely satisfied with the visit and theoutcome.

It went great! I called, they called back the same day and they got someone out before our house guest arrived within 3 days. I hadn't even asked for him to look at the tubs but when he finished, Gabe asked if he could do anything else and I mentioned the frustration with the tubs. He told me how much the new tub fixtures would cost and I had him do the work. It was affordable and good work. We're very happy.

Textbook perfect experience. My call was answered immediately by someone who could help me. The work was scheduled for the next business day. Nick arrived on time and called first as promised. He got right to work and finished fast. I asked him about winterizing the hose bibs and he explained the process, helped me find the shutoff valves and even tested each one. I wish I had called sooner instead of listening to these water lines whine for the four years I've lived here. I'm a very happy customer especially because I now have a plumber I can call when needed.

They didn't have any appointments available the day we called so we had to wait till the next day. They told me someone would be there between 10 and 12. Gabe called at about 9:30 to ask what exactly was wrong so he could pick up any parts he might need on his way to our house. He arrived at 10, looked at the toilet and explained what he was going to do. He was professional and personable. He leveled the toilet to make sure the problem didn't happen again and took care to do a nice job on the caulking. He took about an hour to do the work. He didn't mind petting our dog! I would definitely call this company again.

If you are looking for a good plumber, these are the guys. Jenn was very helpful on the phone. I wasn't sure what type of toilet I could use because we have a 1927 home with a 14 inch roughin (instead of standard 12 in.). Jenn offered to have Nick come by and take a look. He was very helpful (explained I could use any toilet, it would just come out from the wall 2 in) and I was so impressed that he is just such a nice person---so friendly and reassuring and he didn't even charge me for his time. I ended up ordering the toilet online through Homeclick.com because the wait time was less than ordering locally. It came within a week and worked out well and actually saved some $. Bought a Toto Eco Promenade 1.28 gpf which we are really happy with. It has a super-efficient flush. Nick installed the toilet. He knew just what to do to stabilize the phlange on the floor which was rocking from side to side. He saved us a ton of money and trouble by avoiding pulling up the floor and replacing the pipe. We are completely happy with our experience. Nick was quick, knowledgable, neat, cleaned up well and pleasant to boot. I highly recommend Mike Patterson Plumbing and will definitley call them for any future plumbing need.

The plumber who came to do the work (Gabe) called in advance to give an ETA and showed up as stated. While in our home he completed the work efficiently and in a very professional manner. He took the time to explain everything he was doing and presented all available options. I would definately use this company again.

Briefly I called this company to have a kitchen faucet replaced in a rental I own. I told the receptionist what the issue was and asked what they charge . She told me they charge $95 per hour labor and a $20 truck charge. She suggested that the job seemed rather normal and should not take more than an hour. Since I was not going to be at the site to pay I asked if I could give her a credit card over the phone for $115. She suggested we wait in case some other parts were needed. That was okay. When i got the bill I was charged for 1 1/2 hours labor. My renter said he the plumber was there for about 35 minutes. I then questioned the company as to why I was charge for an hour and 1/2 for labor when plumber was on site for 35 min. I was told that they charge at the labor rate 1/2 hour travel time or in this case $47.50. The VP said if I felt that was not right I could deduct it from the bill which I did. Had I know upfront they charge 1/2 hour driving time as labor, plus a $20 truck charge I most likely would have shopped around. Perhaps all plumbers charge the same I do not know; all I would do is suggest to the company that they let their clients know in advance this charge and to prospective clients that they make sure they know all the facts about how this company bills for services performed before they engage them.

All of the people, from the woman who answered the phone to the actual plumbers, were very professional and very courteous. The plumber doing the work was here everyday as long as the job took; we couldn't even get him to take a coffee break. Everyone has been more than wonderful, I will continue to use them and will definitely recommend them!

We had a leaky faucet in our apartment and Gabe came out to check it out. He was punctual, easy to talk to and very fast. He was really helpful and willing to show me what he was doing and explain the process as he went. It was also very reasonably priced. If I have other plumbing work, I will call them immediately. He also didn't mind our barky dog, which was great.

Excellent! I had just joined Angie's list 3 days prior I needed a plumber. My first experience using Angie's List was a success. I found a well recommended plumber in my town. Nick arived early, found and fixed the problem. The drain is working better than ever! Nick did a great job. YES! I will call them again if needed.

We had the worst problem with a former plumber ( we will be calling these people back to fix at a later date) so to be able to read reviews of the workmanship and how the customers felt they were treated was very reassuring. From the sweety answereing the phone for the first contact, which for me, right or wrong tells me if I will be dealing with that company, to the person that came out to do the estimates plus giving several options for putting in the water line and taking so much time explaining to the most clueless of persons, the benifits of each optiion while never making me feel that I was holding him up for the next appointment, then the person who did the work which according to the inspector was perfect. All of the people I delt with have made this a comfortable and great experience.

I had a couple of days off work and decided to take care of some things on short notice if I could. I picked Mike Patterson Plumbing from the reports here on Angie's List and was able to get a next day appointment. Gabe called before he headed over so I was prepared. Gabe is awesome! Our sink had been leaking a little and I replaced some of the faucet parts but it was still leaking. Also, we constantly had problems with under the kitchen sink being leaky. Gabe was wonderful and took one look at the pipes under sink and identified several issues with the odd way the previous home owner had done the plumbing. First he tackled the leaky faucet and replaced the cylinder and found a lot of debris. Then he redid all of the plumbing under the sink and found the source of the debris. It had needed to be done for 10 years and he just got in there and did it efficiently and beautifully. Then I showed him how the washing machine in the basement was draining into the utility sink and he removed a stuck old hose from the real drain pipe and installed the hose to drain into there like it should have all along. I pointed out a leak from the water heater and thought it was from the bottom on the tank, but he saw immediately that it was from the pipe nipple at the top of the tank and replaced it. He was friendly, professional, efficient. I highly recommend him!

2nd time that we have used Mike Patterson Plumbing, with Nick. Fantastic response to phone call, appointment was scheduled between 1-3pm Monday. Nick called, and came about an hour early. Kept me updated as he found the sources of the leaks, asked if I had wanted to to proceed each time a new finding arose. Very impressed with the professionalism of both office staff and Nick. Gabe was excellent. he arrived on time and did an excellent job of fixing the problem. Very professional. They will be my plumber of choice moving forward.
