Andrew was very polite and arrived earlier than planned. Company called first to OK the time change. He fixed the drain clog and replaced a worn sink drain fitting.

Troy arrived when he said he would, protected the floor where he was working, unplugged the sink in a reasonable amount of time.plus gave us tips that could help prevent future problems. I was very pleased when he showed us the restrictor that was on our faucet and removed it! Also, when we showed him the coupon for a discount, he said he could do better giving us a senior discount! Could not be more satisfied and would definitely call again!

I had a bathroom with slow drains, which eventually stopped draining. I tried snaking the drain myself from the tub and the sink but I wasn't able to get to the clog. I had to show the bathroom to a prospective renter and there was muck in the sink. My regular plumber wasn't available that day so I called and asked about same day service. Drain Away was available that day and quoted a basic price of $159 for a service call which in all honesty wasn't bad for same day service compared to the other places I called. They gave me a time that they would be here and were actually able to come earlier because they finished another job early. Just as the technician (Jake S) arrived I had to leave for another appointment and my son stayed. Jake gave me a quick run down of what he needed to do and wanted to inspect the pipes we were working with to ensure they wouldn't be damaged during the procedure. When I returned an hour later the clog had been cleared and the bathroom was spotless. The professionalism from Jake and the office staff when I called was outstanding. Their flexibility was great and the way they treated my property was incredible. I will be calling on them again in the future.

It went great. Jake showed up on time and went straight to work. He evaluated the problem, discussed the potential outcomes, and got down to business. A short time later, he was done, and the drain worked and this nuisance - which I had been battling for the better part of a week without success - was brought to an end. Jake was friendly and skilled, and he cleaned up everything very nicely. I was happy with the work.

Called them at 8 am, made same day appointment to have someone come out and check our clogged toilet (which, in my experience, generally doesn't happen with plumbers). They called me about 30 min prior to appt to let me know plumber (Jake) was on his way. Jake arrived on time and augered the toilet then gave me additional information regarding our toilet and preventing future issues. All around great service and very much appreciated Jake taking the time to review the issues with me, as well as the office staff working to get us in to the schedule quickly and calling ahead. Great job by everyone!

When I found the sewage backup I called Drain Away Rooter because I had used them in the past and liked them. They had a time that day, but I opted for them to come out the next morning. In the meantime I asked my partner if she had flushed anything weird down the toilet. She admitted to flushing some paper towels when she was cleaning the bathroom. Andrew was prompt, professional, and the office called to let me know when he was on his way. He arrived at the very beginning of the window they gave, which was perfect. Andrew scoped the line from the main cleanout and saw that it was clear. He checked all the way to the street just to be sure. We then removed the toilet in the basement bathroom and scoped that. Immediately we could see the paper towels. Andrew used the scope to push them out to the street. He was very careful when retracting the scope to be sure to stop and look if the scope got obscured, in case anything was still there. He found another paper towel still blocking the line and pushed that out to the street. We flushed a bunch to be sure everything was clear, and sure enough everything was cleared! It took exactly an hour, and I had a lot of fun watching the process. I swear the lady on the phone said it would cost $139 but when the bill was written up it was $159. I discussed with Andrew and he was very friendly about it. I chalk this up to just mishearing over the phone, the service was worth every penny at $159, and anyway I am splitting this cost with my girlfriend. The video of the sewer adventure will be posted on their website within 2 business days and I'm excited to check it out. I would absolutely use these folks again. They are clearly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional.

All of the work was top-notch. Travis, the excavator operator, had an excellent touch on the controls; the work was clean and quick. When the sewer line dove and turned near the street, the crew (Shane, Shannin, Travis, Del) conferred for a few minutes and devised a plan to get the job progressing; they needed to get a larger excavator to continue. The larger machine was brought in and the trench deepened; the line was finished within the time estimated, including all inspections. Some of the soil was removed to make room for the gravel pipe bedding that stabilized the sewer line, and some of the original soil was replaced. Since there had been a garden bed where the trench was required, Drain Away topped off the replacement soil with composted material; our roses are already recovering from the transplanting! My wife and I were especially impressed with the good humor and high morale of the Drain Away crew. I used to work in heavy construction, and I know how a crew can become disheartened when unexpected obstacles pop up. This crew also kept us informed of everything that was happening, so that I was able to see the video feeds of the old pipe (horrid!) and then those of the lovely new one. After all of the hard work, Shannin calculated the final bill... and she gave us a number that was below the low end of the estimate that Jake had given us! Excellent work, done on time, for less money that expected, nice people... I highly recommend Drain Away Rooter.

Great experience, would definitely use them in the future for plumbing needs. Troy was great and did an excellent job installing our new garbage disposal, and noticed and fixed a few other minor problems in the process. The company was very easy to schedule with and polite to talk with over the phone.

Fantastic! See above! Also, I did get 3-4 separate bids from other companies... Right from the first encounter I wanted to go with drain away rooter, they were more responsive, very open and cheaper, their bid also included puttin cement back where as other company bids did not. So basically more for your money.

I'm really happy with Drain Away Rooter. Kitchen sink was backing up into both sides of sink regularly and when dishwasher in use. Andrew came out and snaked the drain pipe. He discovered that my garbage disposal was leaking water out of the electrical area. Very dangerous. He turned off the disposal at the electrical box. The next day Ken came back with a new disposal that he installed. Happy that Andrew was here to spot a dangerous situation that didn't have anything to do with the reason I called for service. The configuration of the pipes below the sink was wonky (probably installed by previous owner who clearly didn't know what he was doing) which led to a higher chance of backups into the sink (even I could tell the configuration was strange). Ken reconfigured with new pipes and added a clean out valve which didn't exist before. The super cool part of the job is that I told Ken my hot water has always been super low pressure and I've been told by other plumbers that it's due to 1950 galvanized plumbing that is corroded. Ken said that could be yet he'd check the hot water shut off valve to make sure it wasn't plugged up. Well, it was plugged up and now ... after ten years! ... my hot water runs at great pressure just like my cold water. Now I won't mind hand washing dishes. I used to wait so long because I couldn't stand running the low pressure water for sooooo long to get it hot. Oh happy days :) Ken is my hero. Drain Away Rooter are now my go to plumbers. I'm so thankful to Ken for taking the time to figure out an easy fix to my hot water problem.

On the recommendation of our plumber, we contacted Drain Away Rooter about some slow drains. Jake and Matt arrived on time as scheduled. We had back to back slow draining bathtubs in our duplex. They immediately set to work and manually snaked the bath drain from one side, as they determined after talking with us that the clog was most likely not right at the traps beneath the tubs, but a ways into the single pipe both tubs drain into. Jake pointed out that a previous remodeling had created a slight lip between the old and new pipe. They pulled out a hefty glob of hair; we definitely could see how it could plug and slow the drains. The tubs now drain really well. Jake said we could have a new pipe placed that would make one single drain line without a lip, but that it would not be something he would do if this was his property until it really became a chronic problem. As the remodeling was done in the 1990's, it doesn't seem to be something we need to put money into right now! They next snaked both kitchen sink drain lines. Jake explained what to put down a garbage disposal and what not to. Very informative! There was a lot of sludge loosened in the kitchen drain line on our side of our plex, and we asked if we should have the main line hydro-jetted with water. Jake explained that this was a job that was billed by the hour, and it might not be necessary to do this. He suggested that we first determine if this service was even cost effective for us by having the main sewer line scoped with a camera. I had read about this service and had always wanted to have it done, but thought it would be quite expensive. However, we were charged only $159, which seemed a reasonable fee, as we received a digital download of the recording immediately after Jake finished the scope. It turned out we have NO major problems and the hydro-jetting is not needed or recommended at this time. Our plex was built in 1959, and we've lived here since 1988 and never had the line checked or cleaned, so this was welcome and good news to us and a relief to know that all was okay. We are grateful to have this information, and that we were not pressured into an unnecessary expense for something that is not needed. Very worth the cost of the camera scoping just for the peace of mind! Jake and Matt were both friendly and a pleasure to have working in our home. They cleaned up after themselves (it was a messy job), and we are very pleased with this company's service. We would hire them again and definitely recommend them to others for drain cleaning and sewer line scoping. Thank you, Jake, Matt and Drain Away Rooter!

It went great and everything is running fine.

Very nice guy focused on keeping us informed each step of the way. Disappointing in that he was unable to correct the problem but considering what the problem was, it's not something I'd hold against him or the company. Still disappointing to pay $600 only to be handed a quote to actually fix our issue for $4000. Regardless - they showed up when they said they would. He seemed very knowledgeable. Provided a few different alternative ideas to fix our problem. Did a great job of communicating. I'd definitely recommend using them and would again myself.

They were very professional. Responded immediately, set the appointment time, verified the time and date and showed up on time. Ken was friendly and professional and completed the work in short order. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Company did a great job. Replaced a section of the pipe (galvanized) that had corroded over the years. Called 1/2 hour before they were scheduled to come.

Several people had been called to fix this problem and took days and it never was fixed right. The drain people from Angie's list had it working properly within 45 minutes. Problem solved.

Andrew arrived right within the time window promised. He was very courteous and friendly. It took him no time at all to discover the problem with our toilet. He fixed that in about ten minutes (and I don't think he even charged for the fix). Andrew then went into our basement inspected our sewer lines and made a few suggestions as to what we might consider in an upcoming bathroom remodel. He then scoped the full 75ft length of our sewer line to the street and fortunately found no serious problems. The whole process took less than an hour and we are very happy with the results. A very professional operation from the very first call to the office, to the final interaction with Andrew.

Andrew was nice, informed, genuine, and kept his pants all the way up through the whole process.

It was tricky. New hard rain - back up into the garage and such. Pouring rain as he was working. There were two side connections so that the snake would prefer to take a side route than unblock the plug - he stuck with it until it was totally fixed. He was pleasant and chatted with me about what what going on. I would hire him again for sure.

I was informed of the process step by step. He ran 75 foot snake which did not clear line. He actually went into my crawl space and saw that the pipe has a bow in it. He proceeded to run a jet with a hose which totally cleared the line. I was impressed that he kept me informed with every step. Very nice and professional!

After 35 years kitchen sink clogged up in the middle of a canning project. Called Drain Away Rooter after looking at Angies List. They were able to respond within 2 hours which way exceeded my expectations. Andrew showed up and immediately went to work. He took extra precautions to ensure the floor was protected. Job was completed in about an hour. Both the office and Andrew were very professional and personable. Kudos to the team. I really appreciated being helped out of a jam.

The customer service rep was helpful and friendly when they took my call. Had a time slot same day, within a couple hours of calling. Technician arrived in the middle of the allotted 2 hour window, preceded by a helpful call from dispatch. He was friendly, helpful and mindful of his equipment (wiped down wheels of cart before bringing it into the house). Was willing to explain the process and entertained my questions. Would definitely hire them again.

I called and requested same day service, and received a phone call from their office a few hours later with an offer to come by in the afternoon. The serviceman called en route and was there within a few minutes. He promptly discovered the problem and was able to clear the drain within 30 minutes. Great service!

This company did an outstanding job. My kitchen sink was out of commission, i called several companies all of which were booked out for weeks. This company was recommended to me by one of their competitors. I called them and they were able to schedule something the very next day. He arrived earlier than scheduled (which was great). He was fast, efficient and detailed orientated. He even discovered something else that was broken with the dishwasher connection and repaired it as well with no additional costs to me. I was very pleased with the work. Professional, clean/neat and on time!

Excellent. Ben was professional, needed to haul up his electric snake machine up the outside stairs. I noticed he took a rag and cleaned off the wheels prior to rolling it inside. He set down rags to keep everything clean. Used the snake and after unclogging the drain continued and used the entire snake length to get anything else. Cleaned up and tested it for about 10 minutes. Great job.
