Just a warning on what feels like a scam. I had Peterson Plumbing come out to give me a quote on a shower/tub install (everything existing already removed, just install a new shower/tub). First, they charged $72 to just come out for the quote, which was already highly unusual and should have been a warning I suppose, however I paid it due to them being a long term business. They came out on time and seemed professional, however they later sent me a quote (wouldn't do it in person) of $4500 for a 4 piece fiberglass shower/tub (~$300 at Jerry's) only roughed in (leaving all trim work and finishing to me)! Absolute insanity! The 3 other plumbing contractor quotes I got were all ~$2500 for the same thing (no charge for the quote), plus one handiman for $800. I ended up doing it myself for ~$700 total including the shower/tub and tool purchases. I would strongly suggest avoiding this company and instead going with another reputable one that doesn't charge for a quote, or can do an estimate over the phone, and doesn't charge double the average...

Well ... the part was so old that no replacement could be found. So the guy came up with a very creative alternative solution (to his credit) which wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but was a solution we could live with. And it didn't increase the cost over his estimate (good news there). Solution: He installed a new tub spout with a valve so we now have ALL water pressure coming out of the hand-held shower filter. So, it's not his fault that I was somewhat disappointed with the final outcome. Which is that we have to fill the bathtub using the hand-held shower filter. :o(

They were prompt and efficient and helped to identify larger issue that was causing problem.

They did a great job both in terms of service and cost. They were very conscientious and efficient. Also appreciated the customer service from the team at the office.

Workers were punctual for both the estimate visit and the installation work. Work was completed within the estimated time and price reflected the estimate also. Workers left area clean.

Petersen responded quickly and took care of the problem, also advising us of how to stop the water flow more quickly if it should happen again. They were helpful, reasonably priced, and did not charge a travel fee (for local work....I HATE paying a travel fee when I am local!). I like the fact that they are a family business and this company will be my go-to for any future plumbing issues!

It went great. They came over the same day I called. They were at my house in less than 4 hours. They completed the work promptly. The office person Karen was very nice. She called before they came out to say they were on their way. I would definitely call them again.

Have used Petersen Plumbing several times in the past and as always, the job was done quickly, professionally and efficiently.

Great. I had an Appointment later in the week - holiday week - but they called and and had someone available. They found the leak and replaced plastic pipe. They were Fast, efficient and friendly. Made my day, I expected it to be a bigger deal.

First - they had a cancellation so they called to see if I wanted them to come a day early. Really appreciated them doing that! So, they arrived earlier than originally scheduled (which is good) and I showed them the shower system we had, explained what I thought the issue was and then let them do their thing. A little over an hour later they had it repaired. It was not an easy job given the type of system we had and the way the manufacturer had built the unit. But it works and we didn't have to replace the entire unit! Both the plumber and his apprentice were professional and polite. I will certainly use them again for future plumbing needs.

Overall grade A Job took approx. 1.25 hours Cost for labor $162.00 + (replaced old with new 8" Woodford hose bib total cost with 4" brass ext.. and oversize flange $68.00 + 20.00 = $88.00) total cost @$250.00 Jeff the plumber was very experienced, knowledgeable, and package this with a great personality... you have the perfect plumbing experience! He joked about him not having an apprentice so I would have had to gone under the house for him into the crawl space :-) NOT! But it turned out it wasn't necessary. Jeff was able to assess the situation give me the choice to either fix or replace the problematic bib, no pressure either way however, I did choose the later. It seemed expensive (i.e., couple with the labor cost) but I was given a worst case scenario estimate over the phone from a very knowledgeable front desk person (so I was sort of prepared and it did turn out to cost about $100 less) I later found out from my neighbor who had a similar problem and had called Roto Rooter who basically paid about the same when all said and done...

Mari was awesome. She knew exactly what she was doing. Incredibly efficient, professional, with a marvelous personality. I also must mention the women that I spoke to on the phone while making my appointment. They were the interested in helping me diagnose my problem, very friendly and patient. Great company.

When I called, I thought I just had a blockage in the toilet drain. But it turns out that a blockage had been building for years in the main drain line from my building. The two folks who worked on the job were efficient in their work and professional in their explanations. And in the "we'll take care of you" category: when the jet unexpectedly caused a break in the toilet bowl, they promptly installed a whole new toilet at no charge the same day. May not be the cheapest plumber in town, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

We have two water heaters in our house and Jeff from Petersen Plumbing came out to give me an estimate for replacing them. I was interested to know if it was time to replace them and with what type: electric, gas, hybrid or tankless. I wanted Jeff to consider the cost of the install along with the energy cost of each option and make a recommendation. He was willing to give me a price for each option but wouldn't say which way he recommended. Since he does this for a living I wanted to know if upgrading to a hybrid water heater or a tankless was worth it, or if I should just stick with our regular old electrics. After considering the options I called back to ask about the cost of replacing just the 20 year old water heater with an electric vs the cost of running gas and venting for a gas water heater. Jeff said he'd run the numbers. That was several days ago and I haven't heard anything. Also, his quote for the single electric water heater was $950. I got another quote for $550 from another plumber highly recommended on Angie's list. The worst part about all this is that Petersen Plumbing charged me $62.50 for the estimate. I was willing to pay because of the good Angie's List reviews and their time is valuable, but when I've paid for an estimate, I think they should provide whatever versions I want and in a timely fashion.

Kitchen faucet broke Sunday night. Called first thing Monday morning at 0800 to see if they could come. To my pleasant surprise I was told I would be the first person one of their crews would come to between then (0800) and 1000; they were resupplying their truck. At 0835 the phone rang and it was their dispatcher advising they were on their way. That was an understatement as they were pulling in the driveway at that very moment. I explained the issue and said I didn't care if they repaired or replaced the existing valve. Due to age they recommended a replacement, which is the direction I was leaning. I also asked if they could repair the shut-off valves under the sink and they said that would be no problem. Within 30 minutes they had the job completed and work area cleaned up. The work was done beyond expectations and the two guys who came were total professionals. I have used Petersen, and only Petersen, a number of times over the years. I have no idea how their prices are compared to other companies but that is irrelevant considering the high quality of the work they do - you really do get what you pay for. The real test is that I will use them again in the future if I need them without hesitation.

The two gentlemen who came were very courteous and efficient. One was a trainee. They quickly figured out what was wrong with the water heater - it needed a new thermostat. They were able to replace it immediately. I was very happy that they were able to come the same day that I called, the day after Thanksgiving. I was very happy that they didn't try to talk me into something I didn't need. The woman who answered the telephone was very nice. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I have had with home repair people.

It cost $400 and I supplied all the parts. The faucets still leaked afterwards. The older gentleman was clearly milking the clock, charged me time for bsing about nothing I realized after, then wouldn't give me back the money they charged to even come do a quote. Had to call the nice front desk lady to get that back.

Called on a Saturday afternoon and they showed up at the end of the day ready to fix the problem. Agreed to wait until Monday in order to maybe get a better deal on a valve through EWEB. Unfortunately, Monday was a holiday and EWEB was closed so I couldn't get their approved valve. Still got great service and I would recommend them to anyone.

Jeff was super. He explained everything to me so I would understand what was going on with this old house I just bought. Great guy, very punctual and did the initial emergency work in under an hour.
