Ask the Bug Man Pest Management Inc

Each year I have been dealing with a bee problem with a car of mine that tends to sit all the time and has bees swarming all around it. The bees get in the door jambs, side mirrors and the trunk, plus under the hood. They don't actually get "into" the seating area of the car, thankfully. Last year I decided to do something about it and called Ask the Bug Man. I only like to use the top recommended vendors from Angie's List and preferably one that has a Super Service Award, so after reading all the reviews for the area, I chose this particular company. I was also looking for a company that used more of an environmental friendly product than most pest companies use, as I am somewhat sensitive to some of these bad chemicals and didn't want to deal with the odors when I use the car. David came out and got right to work. He was on time, very professional, and very friendly. He thoroughly sprayed each area plus knocked the bees nests off of the car when he was done. One area we both agreed not to treat was under the hood as the bees had gotten in the vent area and we didn't want chemicals to come through when I used my heater or air conditioner. (I was able to take care of this area later by running it through the car wash a couple of times as the water destroyed these nests). David's pricing was very affordable. I don't think he was there more than half an hour and he only charged me $50. I will definitely be using him again, in fact each year during the spring when the bees come back to my car.

They came and took care of all the traps and the disposal and I am still using them. Good service.

I appreciate the fact that there are no contracts and that it is month-to-month I also appreciate the fact that he gave me the knowledge to do the job myself and spent over 10 minutes on the phone with me.

We had a dead raccoon under the house -- very bad smell. We figured this out on a Sunday -- not the best day of the week to need a dead animal removed. However, I got a call back right away and they showed up on Monday to remove our unwanted guest. Very professional!

Not only did he solve the acute problem of the yellow jacket swarm that was making it impossible for the landscapers to work in the yard, he also assessed another possible pest we pointed out and informed us they were paper wasps and not a problem.

Asked for several treatment for a reoccuring spider problem. The entire family showed up at one point to go through the entire property, top to bottom during the initial inspection. VERY friendly, personable and professional. Worked with my fiance to ensure her that type of spiders were not poisonous to humans. Took several visits before the problem subsided. Read in the newspaper that due to the dry conditions, alot of other homeowners were having the same problem. They were the best and we are continueing a monthly maintenence program with them. They always call the day before they come out, which I appreciate. Cost is very reasonable.

We bought a house that had three dogs living in it and had fleas. We tried the canned flea bomb twice and it didn't work. Ask the Bug Man was very reasonably prices and very responsive (next day service), and we haven't see a flea since.

Very well. He explained what he was going to do, we left for an hour, came home and all was done.

David (Ask the Bug Man) was AWESOME. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I found them through Angielist. They are just very prompt. I had some kind of beetle. They told me what they were and got rid of them. Then every once in a while we get those little ants and they take care of that. They call before they come by and they spray once a month around the outside of the house. They always ask if I have any other problems and they are quick to help. I don’t have anything to compare their price with but I think it is fine. I would recommend them to others.

They are very good. I have many less spiders now. They are very responsible, their prices are affordable, they call the day before to let you know they are coming. I think they are very efficient, accessible, and pleasant to work with.

I have been using them for about two years. I originally called them for an ant problem. They offered for me to continue using their services for pest control, or that he could teach me how to do it. If you have any problems in between, they will come out for free and take care of any issues.

They are responsive, and they explains things very well.

He was very upfront and encouraging me to do the job myself because he felt it was a small enough job where he did not want to charge me for something I could do. He was very willing to do the work, but he felt it was easier and more cost efficient for me to do the job myself.

Have been using this company for several years. Found them on Angies List. They always call the day before they come out to do the service. Haven't seen an a 6 legged or more critter in the house since they began the service. I highly recommend this company.

We called to ask how to get rid of ants, and they came out right away and followed the ants to their nest. They put out the bait, and we never had an ant problem again. We used another company for years, and they could never get a hold on the ant problem.

I have been using them for over a year. They came every month and when we got to the winter they came every two to three months. They always call to verify when they are coming and are always right on time. They do a very good job.

Price was $175 but he told us about a $50 coupon online - cool. Did a pretty good job of knocking down most of the ant issue. I think we will need a few more treatments to finish the job. Ongoing maintenance cost seems reasonable. Came out right away to deal with our issue.

I was very impressed with David Ottovich. When I first moved in to this house six years ago, there were mice. He came immediately that time. Anytime I called, he would come immediately. I had a tiny little black bug and I showed him. He and his future son-in-law went under my house. They were there for about an hour. He didn’t charge because he couldn’t find what that bug was. I was amazed and told Angieslist about that. He got a good contract because he was listed on Angieslist. I am bug free now. I couldn’t believe that the minute that I called about those mice, he came from Eugene to Springfield where I was immediately.

Shortly after we moved into our house we found many small ants on the ground floor. The folks at Ask the Bugman came right out, readily identified the ants , and sprayed for them around the house. They answered all our questions about the sprays used, and how to keep the ants away.

Went very well, Dave is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and even gave us some free mouse traps to help out with some furry pests. Has very reasonable rates and a cool month-by-month pest management detail you can opt for.

We rented a place with mice and ants. Emerald sent Dave. Dave was so professional and so willing to answer all my questions about toxicity, ingredients, results on the animals, and our concern for cleanliness. We decided to pass on the mice traps as the animal was left to suffer for a long period of time. I actually called Dave back to get specifics about the chemical he used for an ant barrier and how it might impact my cats. He assured me that he uses great care to insure the safety for children and pets, as well as the adults living there. I researched the chemical and what he said was totally true. We are grateful, relieved and would recommend Ask The Bug Man to anyone asking.....

Dave is a super nice guy. Came right over and took care of the problem. Plan to use on a regular basis.

It seems that the ant issue has been dealt with but we had to call another exterminator to go under the house to deal with the mouse situation.
