SPEEDY SEPTIC

Very happy customer. They arrived in the window given, were very friendly and professional, and pumped our septic tank. We will definitely have them back in five years!

First I want to say that the prior owner of this home did not put in adequate drain field for the size of this home or properly account for how many people would be living in this home. This is no fault of speedy septic & I do not hold them responsible for prior home owner errors. That being said Speedy Septic did diagnose problem and installed a new drain field that was supposed to accommodate the size of the home and the people living in it. It didn't work. Speedy suggested we decommission the current sand filter & replace it with a commercial grade filter. Again this did not work. Our home has the capacity of over 3000 gallons of septic waste with tanks installed by speedy. Currently these tanks have been converted with the city of Portland's approval and with necessary and required permits to a holding pond situation. We currently have an approved plan by the city to connect out home with the sewer. Design took eight months to complete and an additional 2-3 months while speedy sent or took bids for work to be completed. Speedy claimed that delay was the fault of the city, claiming that design had to be submitted and resubmitted multiple times. Speedy provided no documentation of delay and very little communication with us. Whenever WE contacted speedy we were told "it's almost done" or city this or city that. Final estimate is upwards of $68000. We have not determined what course of action we are going to take. As my wife and I run an adult care foster home from this location our options are somewhat limited. Issue will ultimately be resolved. What form resolution will take remains to be seen. I must say I have looked on other websites and was very surprised at the rating speedy was given. This issue has been one of incredible frustration & I posted this review in a period of venting. While venting I did not fully take into account the cities role in this problem. Currently policy is for homeowners to exhaust all other options before they will consider homeowners to connect with city sewer. This policy is the policy of the city not speedy septic. I have been in contact with Speedy & I am very impressed with their willingness to resole this issue after reading my posting and review. In addition I am more than happy to adjust my rating & review and look forward to working with Speedy to completely resolve this issue.

Duane was an excellent representative for Speedy Septic. He was running late, but called to update arrival time several times. When he arrived, he went right to work - always with a smile! This is icky work, but he never complained. He was professional, answered all our questions, cleaned up, and made us feel we were his most important customer of the day. We would recommend Duane at Speedy Septic in a heart beat.

Excellent. Cleaned the filter as well as pumping out accumulated waste. Except for the truck noise, you would not know they were here. Recommended pumping again in 6 years. Excellent service!

Speedy was very professional. They did work in a timely manner. After setting of tank and hookup, but before completion still had problem with bathroom backup. They came out without charge and reamed out inhouse drainage pipe. Would use again. Cautions- to make sure you understand what is included in your bid and what is not: 1. If you know where your septic tank is, dig up the exposure yourself. I was charged $379 for them to dig up. I did it years ago and should have done it again and saved the money. 2. Reaming out the lines from distributor to field not covered in bid. Presented by Speedy before hole covered up. Another $475. Not required by Speedy but I went ahead. 3. Work to repair landscaping after they leave can be extensive. Not just the area around the septic tank but the equipment digging tracks in lawn getting to and from septic tank. I am reseeding a large part of backyard. Area where dug up is sinking a few inches and part of cottage stone wall starting to sag.

After a short period of time the alarm went off on our septic tank telling us it needed to be pumped. We have a contract with Speedy Septic and have used them for years to take care of our tank and pumping. They are always fast and very knowledgeable about our septic needs. We also use them for our clients in our real estate business.

I have now used Speedy Septic two times to get our Septic tank pumped and inspected. Both times Speedy Septic was punctual, professional, and quick. They did not have to drive on our yard which was a bonus. Ken, the lead pumper has explained our system in detail and has given us great advice on prevention and care of a septic tank and drain field. I would highly recommend Speedy Septic.

We had the pleasure of working with Speedy Septic as our entire home septic system was on the verge of failure. We contacted them and they sent a crew out very fast and they showed up when they said they would. The crew was very professional and finished the job on time. We would recommend them to anybody.

My septic was starting to back up so I needed my tank pumped very soon. Water would still go down the drains but it ran much slower than normal. I called Speedy Septic late in the afternoon. They said that they could come out that night but I had plans so I told them it could wait until the morning. Ken came to my house at 8:00 AM, right on time. He pumped my tank and ensured that there were no further problems. I highly recommend Speedy Septic. Wonderful Service and very quick!

Not knowing how long people usually go before getting their septic serviced, I apparently waited too long which was about 10 years. Speedy was able to get to our home the same day we called them which was a huge relief. Their technician, Kyle, found our tank, had it pumped and got our system back up and working within about an hour. The main reason this company stood out to me and deserved an "A" rating was what happened after he was done. Kyle explained to me what kind of system I had, how it works and what the proper things I should and should not do with my system. It really felt like he genuinely cared about us and left an impression for sure. I recommend Speedy Septic to anyone needing work on their septic system hands down.

It went great. They came by later on the same day I called, brought a van with a large supply of parts they could choose from depending on what they found, and then quickly diagnosed & replaced the failing septic tank pump. Their price was slightly higher than I expected for the replacement pump & service call, but they made up for it with same day service and an immediate fix for the problem at hand.

The septic pump warning alarm went off Monday morning. I called Speedy Septic and they were out within 24 hours pumping the tank and performing maintenance. The arrived early and got to work. They explained what the found and needed to do and how long it would take. They were professional, friendly, and quick.

This is our second time using them in the last five years. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about how our system might be compromised and fast in dealing with the immediate problem. We appreciate their flexibility in timing to get to our property and reasonable rates.

They were very good at responding. They were good initially. I found them higher priced than other companies for additional work. I can't recall the exact price. It was additional things they were talking about doing, that I thought the quotes they gave were higher in comparison to quotes from other companies.

Satisfied with the work. Opted for the deluxe 50-year-warranty tank, ($800 more), and it seems high quality product and service. They took care of getting all the necessary county permits. They did a really good job. Very personable staff.

We purchased a rural property with a septic system so were unfamiliar with the maintenance and operation. We needed to have the tank pumped so we called and they arrived in good time. After pumping, we discovered that the first line of the drain field was pooling waste water and more work needed to be done to discover the problem. We paid the pumping charge of $614.00 and the $250.00 mobilization fee for the machine to come. They arrived and started digging and opened the first box full of waste water then moved to the end of the first line where additional water was pooling. They told me that my drain field had failed and I needed a new one estimating the cost at $10,000 to $12,000 if the County approved a standard system. To get the process started, they said that the County required test pits dug so they could approve the site which they could do because the machine was already on the property. But if I wanted to wait, there was an additional charge of $250 to bring it back. It seemed to make sense to dig the pits while they were here and also had me sign a paper that allowed them to obtain permits from the County. They told me that it couldn't be repaired and the County wouldn't approve it. I did some research and I would encourage everyone to do their "Due Diligence" before proceeding on any project. I called the County for myself and they were most helpful. They faxed me the "As Built" diagrams of our septic system which showed the approved location of a second drain field if we should ever need one. Septic companies rely on these recorded diagrams and this company admitted that they should have had them before digging the pits. It was totally unnecessary. I had 4 other septic companies to the property making recommendations and was able repair the first line of the drain field and connect 3 new junction boxes for $1,450.00. County inspected the work while it was still open and approved the function and design. Do your "Due Diligence" it saved me thousands of dollars.

Went very well. Two service personnel had to locate and dig to find the main tank entry. Did a prompt professional job and cleaned up their work well. They were prompt, courteous, and considerate of the landscaping. Checked with us periodically to update us on progress, and discuss whether any further services would be needed.

This company was recommended by a neighbor. They came on two days' notice. The technician was friendly, and helped explain things to us. This is our first experience with this nasty job, having lived on city sewer systems previously. They were on time, did the job in a timely fashion, and left a report on when to perform the job again in the future.

This is a GREAT Company who really stepped up and took care of a ugly nasty situation! We were purchasing a bank owned house that needed a new septic tank installed It was an impossible situation that Jesse made possible! I'm sure all thier employees are good but Jesse is amazing! Jesse and his crew went above and beyond for us, we were up against an impossible time line for closing and loosing our lock in on our interest rate They made it happen..the best part not only did they make it happen they did a great job! They tore up the back yard to put in the tank AND then put the yard back together! considering the amount of work done and how scared I was when I snuck in one evening,,, the next day when it was done I was amazed!!! In moving the tank in they did crack a section of concrete (which they had warned us before hand this might be a problem) It took me almost 3 mo to get around to calling and ask them to fix it ... not only did they do a GREAT job fixing it they did it right away and had a good attitude about it! First Class service! There are a lot of companies out there that could take lessons from this company on how to treat a customer!
