Description of Work: Initial experience with Haven Spa Pool & Hearth was positive during the ordering process. However, once the order was placed communication became abysmal. One of the spa covers was made as ordered, the second was not. Documentation needed for an Energy Trust of Oregon rebate was not provided. Multiple emails and phone calls from both Energy Trust of Oregon and myself were ignored. In short, once they had my money, they stopped caring about “customer service.” I wouldn’t use this company in the future for a bottle of spa chemicals let alone a purchase as substantial as an actual spa.

Description of Work: Installed new steel walls (we had the walls) into rails and installed new liner, skimmer, returns and all new pipes to/from water sources and water heater. Stephen and his employees did a great job and came back several times to modify and adjust. This was a retro fit job and they did it perfectly! They were very responsive, knowledgeable about the pool business and professional. For the hours the employees worked, the price was fair and as estimated. We highly recommend Haven Pool and will use them again!

Work went exactly as surprised....new fireplace insert performs perfectly and as described.....AAAA+++ I WISH ALL CONTRACTORS WERE LIKE HAVEN!!!!

+ -1 moreThe Spa Outlet (a.k.a. Hot Water Doctors) scheduled an appoitnment and sent out a technician. I was informed about their rates ahead of time. The technician arrived as scheduled and promptly diagnosed the problem as a broken relay circuit board, which needed to be replaced. He also suggested replacing the filters, which I agreed to. I was given specific prices for both parts. Since he didn't have the circuit board available and needed to order one, another appointment was scheduled to install it later. The company didn't charge me for labor for this additional appointment. Again, the technician showed up on time and installed the new circuit board. Unfortunately, later that day it turned out the tub still wouldn't hold temperature. I called the Spa Outlet again. They sent the same technician out. This time he realized that another component was also broken and replaced it. Again, I wasn't charged for labor for this second appointment and the component turned out to be cheap. In the end, I was very pleased with this experience. My spa is working again and I didn't have to spend a fortune to get it running. I could only wish that the problem was diagnosed completely during the first visit, so I wouldn't have to schedule additional appoitnments.
Description of Work: My hot tub malfunctioned refusing to hold the set temperature for more than a few hours. The Spa Outlet technician diagnosed the problem as a broken relay circuit board, which needed to be replaced. It later turned out that another component (a secondary relay, I believe) was also out of order and needed replacement. Both components were replaced.

+ -1 moreHe spent quite a bit of time, and showed me how we could unstick it if it stuck again, and how we could try to remove rust that would cause sticking. Offered to take the board and get a new relay but we discussed and will try to hold off on that for now. Also took notes on the control panel in case that is the problem (less likely), and what I could do to determine which it is if/when the problem recurs. So in the end he saved us from a more expensive repair. This company was a referral from the shop where we originally bought the tub. He was very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: Came out to repair hot tub. Tub was running all the time. He looked at the controls and board, and determined that it was probably a stuck relay (probably, because the day he came out, the thing started behaving itself). Hot tub is about 12 years old but in good condition.

+ -1 moreThey were unprofessional, cocky. We asked if the leak is not fixed, what should we do? The answer was "call us again and we will come out and charge you another couple hundred dollars". The spa was still leaking. We called Willamette Spa service who easily fixed the leak for a reasonable price(see our report).
Description of Work: Came back a week later to repair leak.
