Alpha Energy Savers

The initial estimate and support was very good, particularly the help provided to sort through the maze of energy rebates and tax credits that might apply to the situation. The crew that did the work was very professional and conscientious. They worked inside our home for a full day and left it as it was before they arrived. The final strong point was the assistance provided in completing the paperwork for the rebate and tax credit. Alpha Energy Savers is a great company to do business with.

In comparing Rob's estimate to others, it fell right in the middle; we chose Rob because he made us feel at ease. His initial inspection was thorough, his estimate timely and detailed, he worked hard to help us understand all issues & was never condescending or pushy about our budget concerns. Rob was present for the blower door test, though usually his partner (sick that day) completes that portion of the work. Rob was self-admittedly less knowledgeable, but he and his co-worker Salvador eventually were able to answer all of our questions to our satisfaction. Due to tremendously bad readings on our duct work, Rob pushed us ahead of other jobs that weren't as dire. Two employees performed the duct sealing and insulation in just a couple of hours;far less time than we imagined! Our ducts were retested & the leakage number dropped dramatically. Every employee we encountered was respectful of us & our home throughout the entire process. The bill matched the estimate, we're warm & happy!

Was initially skeptical b/c the fellow who came to estimate, Ken, was not friendly and seemed uninterested in our business. After other estimates, we found Alpha to be the most reasonable for the srvc provided and went with them regardless. The woman in the office was VERY helpful and friendly on the phone and took the time to explain the services provided and what was expected. I appreciated her thoughtfulness and thoroughness. It took about 3 weeks (not long at all) from the time we sent in all requisite paperwork until the contractors came out. The servicemen were VERY thorough, affable and respectful. They patiently answered all my questions, went to great lengths to keep their work areas clean and clean up after, and finished earlier than I'd expected. The took off the siding to blow in the insulation in the walls rather than drill holes and I certainly appreciated that. The original price quoted was around $1880 and the work was done for less. Great with EnTrst paperwork.

Almost everything about this job went wrong from beginning to end. They assured us the holes they drilled in our siding would be unnoticeable; they became a disaster. They were not repaired properly or in a timely way and water got into our wall cavities. Alpha ended up replacing most of the siding where they had drilled. They also ordered and installed the wrong windows. The workers did not seem very professional, left tools behind, ended the work day early, did things incompletely or incorrectly, etc. With all of the problems, a two day job took two months. To Alpha's credit, we had three straight weeks of rain in the midst of the job, which made things difficult. We mostly appreciate that the supervisor never argued with us, knew that the job was messed up, did everything he could to fix it and gave us a deep discount. The underlying problem is that they pay their workers by the "piece", so they have incentive to cut corners and work quickly rather than carefully and thoroughly.

Helpful, good bid, on time, quick and on budget!

I am impressed by the office efficiency and flexibility in working with me; helping me with financing and scheduling. The work was done when they said it would be, in a very timely and professional way.

Ken Ewalt came out for the initial bid late January 2006 and the work was completed middle of February 2006. Ken was polite and professional, and explained to me how hot (and cold) air flows through an attic space and under the floors. He made some recommendations and I went with them, and this summer we have not once had to turn on fans upstairs! Two workers came out to do the job. They were polite, professional, and tidy, and did a great job in one day. Later, when we applied for an Energy Trust credit, I called their office and the woman working there knew just what to do with the forms and was very helpful. We received back a $200 credit!

They couldn't even give me an appointment for an estimate in the morning. Apparently, they don't consider their customer's needs. They did NOT do any work. I'm guessing at the probable cost. I can't submit this form without that # and we didn't get that far.

Decent estimate and ok service. Signed contract for $1470.00. After service performed... received bill for $1570.00. Called to find out why discrepancy, and was told that we had a conversation in which the addition of $100 was discussed with me. I had no such conversation. We never discussed price again once I signed the contract for service. When I explained this to the salesperson... he said ''I just have to eat it again'' and he hung the phone up on me. Obviously, the ''again'' means he has had similiar problems to mine. In addition, the first appointment they scheduled with me, when I called to confirm, I was told that they were not coming that day. ''Didn't we let you know?'' is what the salesperson said to me. Again, obviously communication problems are an issue with this company. Due to all above, I will not be using them to install our skylights or install the insulation under our house. These are projects we had received estimates on and planned to do next year.

It was a little hard to get on the schedule with Heat Relief, but once we were on it, the work was done in two days time.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD IN DEALING WITH THE PAPER WORK FOR TAX CREDIT PURPOSES.

WE THOUGHT THEY DID A GREAT JOB FROM SALES RIGHT DOWN TO THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. ALL EMPLOYEES WERE WELL MANNERED GROOMED PROFESSIONAL AND HARD WORKING. THEY SEEMED EXPERIENCED IN WHAT THEY WERE DOING/

OUR HOME WAS A LITTLE OLDER SO WE NEEDED TO HAVE INSULATION BLOWN INTO THE ATTIC CRAWL SPACE. WHEN I CALLED ALPHA ENERGY, I WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY AND THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY PROMISED.
