They did a good job. I was told it would reduce the dust and that didn't happen. They took the floor registers out but didn't really clean them, they looked the same.

They were very professional, organized and thorough. My husband felt that they were a very good company. As we didn't need to have the work done right at this time we didn't end up having the work done.

My elderly grandparent came to live with my family at the end of my teen years and we needed to install the Central AC for health reasons. I did a lot of price comparison/BBB research before we used this company. They treated me well, kept under the quote, were fast, clean and not noisy! The unit was up and going quickly. The duct work was kept out of the way and not an eye sore. This unit is still going strong after 13 years.

The service guy opened it up, looked at it, and said that he could do something with a couple wires. Then he looked at the stand and said he couldn't touch it because it was not up to code, it was all wrong, and that we needed a new furnace. We found that to be rather odd because they had serviced it before and they had never said anything about it. We thanked and paid him, then called another company that told us there was nothing wrong with the furnace. I felt like I had been lied to and that they had tried to take advantage of us.

The immediate expensive part was replaced. He did not check the belts and bearings which were grinding away again soon after he was gone.

The experience with this company was excellent. They came in and explained how everything works and the advantages of different models. They also helped me calculate the energy savings as well. Kevin Sims was very knowledgeable.

They were honest with us and they were very punctual. They got here quickly after we called them. They also did some work on an air conditioner that we desperately needed during the hot weather. He is very good at diagnosing the problems before he does any expensive work.

Our furnace and air conditioning system were installed by A-Temp eleven years ago and we have had A-Temp continue to service and repair the units, as we had a ten-year warranty on the system. We will continue to use A-Temp now that the warranty has expired, because we have found an especially knowledgeable and efficient technician, Darrin, whom we can request to do needed service and repairs. He is punctual, professional, courteous, and experienced. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, and was finished within an hour.

Barry Robinson came out to do the estimate and we spoke by phone while he was at our home (I was unable to be there) about my interest in replacing the furnace as well as the A/C unit. I'm sure they were installed at the same time. Within 48 hrs. I had a detailed estimate that listed 2 different options of furnaces and 2 different heat pump units (replacing the AC) plus an option for an electronic air cleaner. He also included brochures for us to review to help with our decision making. As I've managed many construction projects in my career I decided to get another bid or two. After receiving two more bids and comparing I went back to Barry with a list of several questions that he answered w/in 24 hrs. That prompted a couple more questions which he promptly answered. Ultimately, I did not award the bid to A-Temp because of a prior good experience with another make. However, because of Barry's efforts I came very close to awarding them the job.

They did a very good job and we compared their prices to other companies and they seemed very reasonable. They are very good at cleaning up after themselves, very professional and friendly. They sent someone out beforehand to tell us exactly what they were going to be doing. They were always on time.

She replied the soot didn't necessarily mean there was a problem. When the tech arrived, he had such brief notes why he was making the service call that he hadn't brought the correct tools yet again. He wanted to reschedule. When I told him of my frustration with their repeated unpreparedness, his reply was to blame me for requesting the service call when the weather was too warm and he would have a hard time using some tools. One reason I went with A-Temp is that they guaranteed their furnace. They would fully refund your money if you weren't happy after year 2. I am relieved that they honored this. A year after it was installed, they removed the furnace and refunded my money. I waited several weeks after the furnace was removed to receive a check. They deducted several hundred dollars for electric work they said remained. Another furnace company that gave me a quote on a new furnace said there was no new electric work. Upon questioning this, A-Temp refunded my $ for the electric work.

I ultimately decided to go with another bidder, but I had a very positive experience with A-Temp and wanted to just share that. Randy was professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable. My only quibble is that when I called to let him know I chose another company, as he had requested, was that he insisted the efficiency of the competitor's model did not exist which was not true and tarnished my opinion a bit. Nonetheless, A-Temp seems like an upright company, definitely worth considering for heating and cooling needs.

The relay was over $250 for the part alone. I later found the relay online for $22. This sort of mark up is unreasonable. When I called their customer service, they defended the markup by saying they had to cover the cost of the call. This $250 was in addition to the $99 service fee.

The employee who gave us the estimate was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was very careful that the installation would meet all of the local zoning requirements (for location of the heat pump). The work was done quickly and well. We are very happy with the service provided.

Very prompt arrival. We live in the country and the service man must have left almost immediately for our house. Have scheduled for an estimate to replace.

A-Temp never disappoints me. The technician arrived on time, was professional and polite. He put on "booties" anytime he needed to come into the home. He was patient to explain anything I asked about and taught me how to use the new filter. He also assured me they could bring replacement filters with them each year, as they are not available in the mainstream home improvement stores. When he found the furnace was absolutely clean, he opted not to charge me for something he didn't need to do, and dropped the price of the appointment. I appreciated that, though I would've had no problem paying them whatever they asked. It's wonderful to have service companies I can trust.

I got three bids on this project and went with A-Temp because of their 5 year parts and labor, plus the equipment seemed better matched to our needs. (Bids were actually all pretty close in base price.) Randy, the salesman, (former installer) explained his proposal and reasoning behind recommendations, plus A-Temp helps with the energy rebate process. The installation was completed in one day, but they had to work late due to the cold air return problem which was unanticipated. The two installers and the electrician worked well together and were fun to watch and talk to. It rained on installation day, resulting in mud being tracked into the garage and I had to power wash it the next day, but this was by my agreement with the crew. The only potential problem might be the very brief thermostat orientation we had from the installers at the end of the long day. However, both heating and cooling have come on without us adjusting the thermostat settings and we have the manual.

All employees very pleasant to deal with. The space they had to work with is small and tight. They managed to get the job done and on time. All in all a pleasant experience.

I took the day off work to be here for this to be done. They called thirty minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time and said their tech had called in sick. They wanted to reschedule but I am booked out for quite awhile. I will go with another company. Not happy about the last minute cancellation.

The technician was very good. He called to tell me that he was stuck in traffic and would be 10 minutes late. The price for the diagnosis seemed reasonable. The pricing for repairs was pretty high.

We got some bids to replace our ailing 20+ year old furnace, and put in a central A/C in our 2 bedroom / 2 bath home in Portland. A-Temp's bid was competitive, and we liked their professional nature quite a bit -- so they got the job. Kevin, the sales rep, was terrific, and took a great deal of time explaining the parameters of the job. Gary and Scott, our installers, were always right on time, very professional, experienced in the field, friendly and seemed to be very trustworthy. I have no complaints whatsoever.

All installers, sales, and office staff friendly and helpful. Provided quick installation on time despite heat wave. Free upgrade to heat pump when distributor unable to get AC unit on time to maintain installation schedule. Therefore unit installed on time with a free upgrade!

We called on Thursday and they came on Saturday and even though they incountered structural problems, we never got charged extra for the extra time needed to complete the work.

This is a top notch company! The furnace and AC installers, Doug and Sean were great. They were knowledgeable and professional working long hours to make sure that we had heat before they left. They also did a great job at cleaning up and explaining everything that they were doing. While we did have some problems getting all of the electrical work completed and approved A-Temp was always very responsive and did everything they could to address the situation as quickly as possible.
