Ted had a lot of area to cover and worked diligently through all the wasp nests he found in the wood piles. Thank goodness for his enclosed cab. He transformed our berry brier, wood pile trashy yard into something we can now enjoy (and our neighbors thank him too)! It looks beautiful! He actually saved us money since he removed many large boulders and prepared the soil for the bamboo. So, when the bamboo crew came to plant, it only took them 4 hours when they had scheduled two full days! Anything outside his original scope of work, Ted was great at discussing with us the cost and ideas of how to fix the problem. I'd call around to see if I could get it cheeper and his price was always the most competitive.

I did not have project done due to limitations of space. Ted was good to work with and followed up professionally. I would contact him again if I need service.

Work was done fast but we won't know if it is successful until Winter when we have heavy rains. Time spent working on this was about 4.5 hours, not including rock delivery. The price was quite high to me but my husband had signed an estimate...we hope for the best.

Was very prompt in giving estimate. Work was done in very good fashion, promptly and with minimum interruption of our home.

We worked with Ted Rudiger and his foreman Bill to have both our sewer & water lines done. It was a complex project - out to the middle of the street (requiring flaggers) and 12 feet down. Several other excavators didn't even want to give us bids, but they were willing to jump right in, and for a fair price too. They did a great job, with everything done on time, on budget, and cleaned up at the end. They were also willing to go out of their way to save the tree in our front yard including digging several feet by hand. Ted, Bill and the other workers were always polite, and it was easy to reach Ted or Bill by phone during the day or evening if we had questions. I'd definitely recommend them!

The project spanned aprox. 12 days. Work was performed by Ted (his skill with an excavator is awesome), Chris, JJ, & Johnny. Fencing was subcontracted to Dave Olsen (excellent workmanship). Detailed scope: ? Removal of existing plant material & 16? tree stump (front) ? Grading to suit (front) ? Rebuilding & increasing height of existing retaining wall with drainage (front) ? New stair construction along sloped driveway (front) ? Aprox. 28? of new Cedar privacy fencing (front) ? Aprox. 78? of new block retaining wall with drainage (varying 1? ? 6? high) spanning several terraced elevation changes (back) ? Aprox. 108? of new Cedar privacy fence on top of wall (back) ? Spreading landscape fabric & mulch over all exposed soil (front & back) Excellent initial progress on grading & excavation, then slower but steady work on retaining walls & fencing. Various additions were made by owner as project progressed - initial price $14,350. Project was not without hiccups ? there were a couple of false starts on the front stairs & back retaining wall which I attribute mostly to Ted not being onsite to supervise when he worked elsewhere. He did check on the job each day however and was very conscientious about ?making things right?! He was quick to correct any mistakes & often pointed out issues before I even noticed! His attention to the little details was obvious & was clearly interested in making sure I was happy. To me, a far more important measure of contractor quality is not making any errors (which is extremely rare IMHO), but how well they respond to them & make corrections!
