The service went well. A few technicians came out and completed the job in about a day and a half. They did a good job. They were cordial and friendly. We had no issues with the company at all. I had no problem scheduling the service. The only issue was they did have to wait a bit to get the equipment and were not able to do the installation when they hoped. They supplied space heaters while waiting on the equipment.

When the A/C stopped working, I expected the worst. Turned out it was only a capacitor and way less expensive than I originally thought. I was really happy that they were able to come out the same day I called. They even tested air flow capacity after making the repair and informed me that the air flow was pretty high for the size of my house. They suggested I don't try to cool past a certain temperature because it could cause the unit to freeze over with condensation.

There isn't much to say, other than, this company is completely professional in every way. Their office staff is friendly and courteous, and efficient. The owner, himself, does the initial inspection of the system, and he, then, takes the time to explain everything about what needs to be done. The company sent out one man to do some repair work on the vent system, a few days before the cleaning, and then two other men, that did the vent and duct cleaning. Everyone was neatly dressed, courteous and professional, to a fault! They answered all our questions...even if they were a bit "dumb"...and they kept us informed as they proceeded throughout the house. The whole house smells cleaner, and we feel confident the air is now much healthier to breathe.

Rick and his team provided initial troubleshooting on a heating problem when I moved into a new house. They did such a nice job with excellent customer service and responsiveness that they are doing my annual heating and air conditioning service too. As a result, they conducted a servicing of my a/c where they found old instructions stuck in the coils. That was enough to justify the service. They did a thorough job of ensuring the system was functioning properly. Highly recommended.

We recently purchased a home in Bend. It is a 17 year old home that had an 80 percent efficient propane furnace and an out-of-date AC unit. We were paying a fortune in propane bills to heat it through the winter. We noticed small amounts of insulation coming up through a register in our master bath. We discovered Home Heating and Cooling on Angie's List. We had three prior proposals, yet were not convinced the inspections of our current system were thorough enough to choose. Ric was the only one who spent time in the crawl space and attic to adequately assess the system and our needs. Yes, Ric's proposal was higher than the others, yet he addressed the problems and just didn't sell us a unit. We had a lot of heat loss/gain due to poor duct work (failure) and west facing windows. Adding a third zone has done wonders for our comfort on the warmest days. Great job, very friendly. We purchased our ac unit, air cleaning system ( I have lung cancer) .Rick, Cecilia were wonderful during our move back to oregon. they installed our system, cleaned air duct . We are blessed to have found them . Cecilia contacted us to arrange a service call, with my many doctor appts. work within our schedule .

Ric provided us with an initial consultation, outlining some suggestions on how we could reduce allergens in our home, and make our home more energy efficient. They worked hard all day repairing many of the ducts in our home that were poorly installed by the builder. Nathan the service man was punctual and professional. He explained in detail what he did and how to get the most out of our heat pump. We will use the company again.

The professional (wish I could remember his name) who came to my door was very friendly, arrived punctually and went to work right away. Located the problem which was a dirty filter that was blocking air flow and causing high limit trip (heat shut off). He cleaned the furnace and replaced the filter and basically checked integrity of my heating system. The charge was very reasonable and I felt assured that my service need was met.

Ric and his workers (James and Derrick) were prompt, friendly, professional and helpful. In addition, they were respectful of my home and belongings. They are a relatively "new" company in Bend, OR, and are working very hard to develop a loyal following. Give them a chance - you'll be pleased!

We interviewed 4 other companies before selecting this one. We were extremely pleased with their service. In addition to installing the air conditioner Ric Secor, the owner, was able to suggest some inexpensive changes that improved our furnace's performance and fixed our house's problem of uneven ventilation. The owner closely supervised all work. Workers were punctual and pleasant.The job was finished on schedule. I highly recommend this company.

Ric, Cecelia and the entire staff at Home Heating and Cooling are top notch! When we moved into our 1976 home, the heatpump and air handler were on their last breath. They completely diagnosed our system, airflow and air quality. It turns out that in addition to our units being 35+ years old and dying, our ductwork was comprised of exposed fiberglass insulation that was only used for a few years before it was determined to be carcinogenic/hazardous. Our air quality was terrible, my kids and I were suffering from respiratory issues, and our particle counts were through the roof as shown by their diagnostic equipment. Long story short, they replaced our duct work, relocated and installed two new heatpump and air handler units (they got us a great deal), split our system into a dual zone from a single zone, installed new state of the art thermostats, and cleaned our remaining returns with their high-tech duct cleaning truck. It was a HUGE job but they were here diligently and every day on-time and professional until the job was done. They even constructed a retaining wall and gravel walkway to our units to make access easier and safer. They also got us a nice rebate from Central Electric Co-op for the new high-efficiency heat pumps. Couldn't be happier, highly recommend them!

The technician did not appear to be familiar with my heat pump system (Trane) and was "learning" as he went. He asked me for service manuals on system in order to carry our basic inspection. He left the main circuit breakers within the system off and I had to call for a return visit to turn back on next day.

Ric came to my home to give me an estimate. He was very helpful and discussed all my options..I received an e-mail that evening with the prices for all the options...He explained everything that was included in the price and that there would not be any additional costs..The job was started on a Monday and was completed by Tuesday afternoon.
