We had both duct cleaning and Aero sealing done a week ago. We are EXTREMELY pleased with both the results and the professionalism from Home Heating & Cooling. The results of the duct sealing amounted to an 86% reduction in leaks. We suspected that there were problems with the ducts including dirt and holes, but had no idea that they were in such bad shape. They showed us before and after pictures and to our surprise, found construction nails and materials inside the ducts! We notice less dust in the house and look forward to a lower heating and air conditioning bill. Home Heating & Cooling installed a ductless air conditioner for our upstairs great room. It is quiet, efficient, and uses a remote control. We set the temperature that we want and it does the rest. Finally, we will have comfortable temps upstairs this summer. By appointment, Ric arrived on time and in his professional manner visually inspected all vents and duct work. He informed me that they were in need of being cleaned. I mentioned to Ric that in the hall bath and kitchen near the dishwasher, that the vents had never been cut in. I was notified by Ric, that when Ashlin and Jermey upon arrival would take care of cutting in new access point for those two vents. Jermey and Ashlin arrived at the appointed schedule time.They were very diligent and respectful of the new carpeting that we had installed in our home. The use of protective covering for the carpet was very appreciated. Jeremy made access the two areas mentioned and installed new removable vents. This work was done 0n Friday 17Mar!7. Since then no notable dust has been seen. Good Job!

Very well. We have used this service twice. Found them responsive, came the day they were contacted. Service man was pleasant and knew what he was doing. When he found he would be later than originally stated, he called to give us an update on his estimated time of arrival.

They came right on time during their scheduled arrival window, got the work done, explained what they completed, asked if I had any further questions and quickly wrapped up the service. Very friendly staff and am glad to do business with them.

Riley, the manager, came out and custom fit a piece for my weird internet-purchased kitchen hood (under $100 for a job that took at least an hour), and then did a very thorough inspection of my furnace (comparable price to everyone else in town). The part I appreciated the most was that he took time to explain and educate me on the care of my furnace, why the pressure reading was so important, and what I could do to fix it (it was super high).

The technicians, Ashlin and Benjamin, were really friendly and efficient, respectful of my home and my pets, and Ashlin in particular went above and beyond. She took time to crawl under my house and make sure everything was in proper working order, and did a quick fix on a duct that had some insulation showing. They arrived on time, finished before the estimated time and cleaned up after themselves. Ashlin also took lots of pictures to show me what came out of the ducts (lots of dirt and even some nails and plastic bits!) and what it looked like under my house. I am so very appreciative and impressed by Home Heating and Cooling and their staff! I will definitely use them in the future and would confidently recommend them to anyone.

The tech Charles showed up later than expected that was fine. When I answered the door I told him hello you have the right house. First thing he said was "so what am I doing" I thought well I hope you know because that's why I called a professional. I let him know the severe was a full system inspection..then he asked for what season? I said heating and ac check was told to.me over the phone for one price. ..he looked at me confused and sort of haggle about the price like I was lying. ...I said to him he could confirm what was quoted to me over the phone....then during the "inspection " I asked many questions about what he was checking and what the service included and he failed to inform me of anything ...I felt like I knew more than he did....at the end of the check he gaveeven a receipt for what he supposedly checked but did not go over what the numbers meant nor did he tell me if my system was goodoing or bad unless I specifically asked.. ..THE REASON I HIRED A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY TO CHECK THE SYSTEM WA ST BE IN FORMED OF THE PECORMANCE OR ANY POTENTIAL ISSUES. I EXPECTED TO HAVE THE INSPECTION EXPLAINED TO ME WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS MYSELF...I FEEL I KNOW NOTHING MORE THAN BEFORE ANZ I PAID 140 DOLLARS FOR THAT LACK OF INFORMATION. The tech was nice and probably tired from a long day but in the end I am a customer who expected an experienced knowledgeable technician to inform me of how my system was performing.

Overall they did a good job, the heater and new ducts work great. Ric (owner), Matt, Rich, Riley, and Joe all worked very hard, and provided professional/quality work. I was treated with respect and kindness. I would recommend Home Heating and Cooling to friends and family. I gave a B rating because there were a few mistakes but they quickly got resolved.

We recently had a great experience with Home Heating and Cooling and highly recommend them. We bought our ?dream house? in Bend about a year ago and were interested in adding whole-house humidifiers to our two furnaces. The proposal we got from the company that had been servicing the house was so high that we shelved the project. After doing some research both regarding humidifiers and HVAC companies I contacted Home Heating and Cooling. We made an appointment with Ric, the owner. We got a reminder call the day before, and Ric showed up ready to roll. He setup a high-tech air analyzer that ran for a half hour in our kitchen then produced a detailed air quality report for us. He listened carefully to us then did a very thorough inspection of our system, including photographing the insides of our ducts and measuring air flow. His proposal for humidifiers was about half the price of our other quote. He also honored a 5% discount from Angie?s List even though it wasn?t on the site when we placed our order. The humidifiers we got are more appropriately sized for our system, and more energy efficient compared to our other proposal. Ric noticed that although our furnace was capable of dual-stage operation it was setup as a single stage system. The easy to use wi-fi enabled thermostat that was installed enabled our dual stage capability which increases comfort, helps with the humidification, and is more energy efficient. The new thermostats also automatically control humidification as appropriate for the current weather conditions. The technicians that did the work were all excellent. They showed up on time, parked their trucks so that they didn?t block our driveway, wore sanitary booties when they came in the house, and worked hard. They were very pleasant to be around and really knew their stuff. We told Ric that our master bathroom was colder than the rest of the house. For a very reasonable fee the ductwork under our house was reorganized to provide a larger more direct duct leading to the bathroom. Although this substantially increased the air flow it wasn?t enough. I called Ric and told him that we were very pleased with the new humidifiers, thermostats, and dual stage operation but that we still wanted more heat in the bathroom. It was the morning of Christmas Eve, and I told him it wasn?t an emergency but that we still wanted to try to improve the heat in the bathroom. Ric responded by sending two of his guys out immediately to work on the bathroom ducting. They removed the new ducting they had previously installed and replaced it with an even bigger duct and did some additional work which took a few hours to complete. The airflow into the bathroom is now dramatically higher than it was and the temperature is great even in very cold weather. There was no additional charge for this work. We couldn?t be happier with our experience. Everything works perfectly.

We can't think what this company could have done better. The owner, Ric, is involved in every job, and rather than high pressure sales, Ric made sure to double-check everything to justify the equipment we were investing in (heat pump AC and back-up furnace; the works). He showed us every option, including cost and available rebates and tax credits. Every member of his crew is professional, respectful, and congenial. They are well trained and did beautiful work, going above and beyond what we are used to seeing. They also have a patented process for sealing all leaks in the duct system, so there will be maximum efficiency throughout. They showed up on time, cleaned up, and kept us informed at every juncture. We can now hear our neighbor's AC running, but not our own! Perfect climate control without air blowing on us. This company has the kind of integrity and honesty that, sadly, is not the norm these days. Thanks, Ric, Riley, Rich, Matt, Mike, Jon, Celia(?) and Pam!

We would highly recommend Home Heating! They were impressive throughout the process including: -Ric?s initial visit when he thoroughly inspected our current system, then walked us through recommendations. He answered every question thoroughly and without pressure, making sure that we had enough information upon which to make our decisions. -an installation that flowed smoothly, was efficient, and well orchestrated. -a knowledgeable, personable, and completely task-oriented crew.

No response. Most are very busy now but even a call to say no thanks is better that no call at all.

The experience was exceptional from beginning to end. Ric, the owner, came to our home to help us decide what to do about our heating problem, which I perceived to be a comfort issue. After examining the system, testing the air quality and doing a whole house test on our current HVAC, I found that comfort was only one issue. We had a very leaky old system that created the very dusty conditions in our home and did not provide an even flow of heat throughout the home. It did heat the crawl space! The type of piping we had could also break down and let fine fiberglass particles into our air over time. In addition, he was able to tell me that our furnace and air conditioner units were fine and that the attic ducts were also fine. I got both the Angie's list discount and a cash discount. In addition, the testing that was done before and after the work showed that we are eligible for a small tax rebate. After we scheduled the work, we were kept informed on exactly what was happening and when it was happening. The crew that did the work were professional, polite and hard working. I particularly appreciated Matt who was there through the entire job. I did not expect to end up so delighted with a job that is, after all, hidden from view, but I was astonished with the amount of air flow and heat that now comes from our heater vents. Ric changed the sizes of the pipe system to increase the air flow as needed. We strongly recommend this company based on our experience. I chose this firm from other Angie list reviews (I read them all!) We are so glad we called Home Heating & Cooling and appreciate the professionalism of Ric and his wife, Pam, and Matt, James and Rich. We will continue to use this firm. I am very pleased with work we had done. Ric came to my house and explained the entire job in detail and gave me information on all the options available. I selected the options I wanted with recommendations from Ric and arranged a time and date to begin the installation. Everyone at Home Heating and Cooling that I dealt with were punctual, professional, and courteous. I am very happy with the installation and the performance of the new furnace. It has now been 3 months since the installation was completed and we are very happy with our new furnace. I would highly recommend Home Heating and Cooling.

Ric and his team did an excellent job. There was an imbalance in the air flow in our home--one part of our home was always too cold, while the other was too warm. Home Heating balanced the air flow and our entire house is now comfortable. Home Heating also found a leak in our flue piping which was not detected by our home inspector. They provided us with a unique solution to the problem which saved us the expense of tearing down walls. The aeroseal eliminated a significant percentage of our heating losses. The one thing that truly sets Home Heating apart from other companies is their customer service. They were very reponsive to my phone calls, and always advised me of an estimated arrival time, followed by a call advising me of an exact arrival time. The employees were extremely prompt and courteous, and cleaned up all areas where they did work. They were careful to close doors so that my indoor pets did not leave the house. I highly recommend the company.

The service went very well. The technicians did an excellent job. They were very informative and gave us great information about our system. Two technicians came out and completed the duct cleaning in about 7 hours. They did a very thorough job. The maintenance took about 2 hours. I had no problem scheduling the service and they were very prompt. They had the best equipment out of the other companies I looked into.

We ended up going with another company because their pricing was way too high. The other quotes we received from the same manufacturer were about 50% less. I did have to contact them after they visited for them to send us written estimates. The technicians was knowledgeable and did a pretty thorough job explaining the units. I had no problem scheduling the estimate.
