They did a great job. It has been doing fine since and they followed up on everything. They were prompt on the appointment time. They fixed the problem quickly and it hasn’t caused any issues since then.

We noticed that our gas-fired hot water heater was running out of hot water much too quickly. I finally checked Angie's List and chose Deschutes Plumbing based on its good reviews. When I called to schedule the appointment, the woman who answered the phone was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable. As a matter of fact, it turned out she practically diagnosed the problem based on what I told her. We scheduled an 8:30am appointment for a few days out from my call. The morning of the appointment, Mike, the plumber, called to say he was on his way and he arrived right on time. He assessed the situation, pulled out the defective part and showed it to us (it was clear by looking at it why we were running out of hot water). Mike was experienced and professional. He adjusted a couple of other parts on the tank and gave us some good tips for how to maintain the water heater in between service calls. Plus, Mike was just a nice guy to talk to. All in all, we had a very positive experience and Deschutes Plumbing is in our Contacts list. We would definitely use them again for any plumbing issues.

Everything was great. Turnaround of the tech, parts ordering and install of parts was within 1 week.

Called Deschutes Plumbing because of rating on Angie's list. Because of exceptional rating I opted to pay for travel charges instead of going with a local company. At 2:00 I was told it would be at least 4:00 before one of their plumbers was freed up and I agreed to this. At 4:00 I got a call that he was running late and that Mike would come up from Bend. He arrived in less than the half hour predicted and went right to work. Took just a short time to open up the trap and find the blockage and he checked out all adjoining possible blockages, got it all put back together, gave me my Angie's list discount and was on his way. Efficient and thorough. Can't say enough good about him or Deschutes Plumbing. Won't hesitate to call Deshcutes Plumbing again if I should need plumbing help. The only thing I'd do differently is to have all the "stuff" under the sinks cleared out before he arrived. He also took the time to discuss with me a way to get hot water to my bathrooms faster - they're over 30' from the hot water tank. I'll probably have it done when I need to replace the water heater. Overall the project went smoothly and was completed from start to finish in the timeframe agreed upon! They are most professional and assisted with suggestions that helped make the removal of the existed tub and surround quickly and as suggested. They had to make adjustments to make the jetted tub work and the bathroom is beautiful and my wife really enjoys the results. A Plus results.

Overall good. All people very pleasant. Execution ok. Firm not prepared to handle reinstallation of exhaust duct for gas fired unit. Did not have materials on truck. Then got wrong size material. Then presented invoice for a larger unit which we had discussed but they did not have in stock to install. Lesson learned: 1) Be sure they understand the full scope of work, 2) make sure whomever in your family following the work knows what your ordered and what the agreed to price is, 3) leave time in your schedule for delays.

I chose Deschutes Plumbing from Angie's List based on the number of fine referrals from Bend households. As a newly relocated resident to Oregon, and to Bend, I didn't know anyone in the trade locally. Meanwhile, I'd just bought a 25 year old property, which came with a few electrical and plumbing problems thrown in for free. I called for help because I needed to install one or more cut-off valves on the basement water heater. (It had recently leaked, and I found out that there was no simple way to isolate the heater-dripping water while I waited the weekend for the previous owner's plumber to come and fix a cracked coupling.) To complicate matters, the mains water system was still joined up with a discontinued solar-panel water heating system, with all the associated piping still connected. To me it seemed a maze. And I gather the previous owner's plumber thought so too, seeing he avoided coming back to install the necessary but missing cut-off valve! The bottom line is that the Deschutes plumber, Mike, quickly figured out how best to separate the two systems, and where to install a cut-off valve. He then proceeded to isolate the old solar system, inserting a one-way flow valve here, and a drain valve there, and then the cut-off valve that I needed. All the while Mike worked fast. He also gave a running commentary (seeing I showed interest) on what I could do with the old solar system water tank, pressure gauges, and control valves. He was full of information, and very willing to share his expertise in a low key manner (unlike some specialists who use their insights to line up more work for themselves). In arranging this repair, I was able to speak with both Laurie and John about what the job entailed and when an appointment would suit me best. Through these conversations I felt comfortable going forwards with the appointment, and the repair work. For the time involved (including 45 mins travel), and for the parts and skill applied, I felt the eventual repair bill was very reasonable. Based on my experience I recommend you give Deschutes a chance to do your next plumbing repair.

Went perfect. I called and made appointment and he called first and said he would be there shortly. He arrived on time and did the job perfectly. I would recommend Deschutes Plumbing Company to anyone who needs work done.

They were terrific: From my initial phone call to the service, I was extremely happy with Deschutes Plumbing.They were polite, prompt (service within two hours of my call), and the plumber was clear about what was wrong and what he was doing to fix the water heater. Friendly, great service.

We hired Deschutes Pluming Company after reading reports on their service from Angie's list, and we were not disappointed! This is a company that has enough service personel, that they don't have to put you off when important repairs are needed. They were prompt in responding to calls and showed up as agreed within the promissed time frame. As a landlord, I have done a fair amount of plumbing over the years on my own property, but sometimes you need a professional plumber who does this every day for a living to find and eliminate the problem. Jason went through logical steps to locate the cause of a costly leak and efficiently completed repairs. The charges were reasonable. We were not overcharged. I had some issues with the company in terms of contacting the company and getting estimates which have thus been resolved satisfactorily so I have removed those details, although they did result in a previous poor grading here. This new review is based on my experience with them since that was resolved and things were handled professionally. They were prompt at on time when they came to do the service and were not intrusive - I was able to work from home with minimal distractions as they installed the gas line under the house. The gas line was set up and tested and seems to be working fine to the dryer. There was one problem in the installation when they installed the line through one of the basement ventilation windows, blocking the area where it would be closed during the winter. They made a fix of splitting the insulation which would close that vent so that it should still work. I would use the company again and would recommend them to anyone else needing a plumber as I believe my first experience was a fluke.

Deschutes Plumbing responded within about an hour, which was fantastic, since I was dealing with both a clogged toilet and a heavily leaking shower head while I had guests in my home. Service took some time, but we were not charged for the plumber's time spent going to get parts. The work was perfect, and the price was fair. I now have their number on my fridge to call right away for any future plumbing emergencies.

They did a good job and I would use them again. The price seemed fair for what they did.

"Shawn" was prompt, professional and extremely courteous. He came in and diagnosed the issue right away. He had the proper tools and was done with the repair very quickly. He showed us what the problem was and even described how newer models were designed to eliminate the issue. BUT he didn't try to overblow the problem or try to up-sell us for additional products or services. We were very pleased with his work and his friendly demeanor. .

I recently purchased an "as-is" house that had been in foreclosure for a year. During the course of renovations, we discovered that the bath drain was broken and draining into the downstairs Living Room. As it was late Friday evening on Memorial Day weekend when I discovered the leak/flood, the plumber that had been working on our home was, of course, out of town. I called Deschutes Plumbing and Lori (sp) was amazing. AMAZING. Not only was she extraordinarily professional, but also stayed calm as I was quite upset. She told me she would have someone available to come out and called me back promptly to arrange a time for the following day (which was fine). The next morning, she called AND texted me to make sure i still needed service and to confirm that a plumber was on his way. While I do not remember his name, the plumber was clearly bright and extremely polite. He located the leak after cutting the drywall and patiently answered my 50 questions as he worked. He did not have the available part to fix it that night, but did give me a reasonable bid to repair it. As renovations are ongoing, the repair was not urgent. Today, Lori called to make sure everything had gone alright and to see how things were (major extra points). While the plumber who has been working on our renovation will be finishing other plumbing aspects, we decided to have him repair the fitting (but I know how much it SHOULD cost now). Deschutes Plumbing, however, will be my go-to plumber going forward. Being new in town, knowing Deschutes Plumbing is a phone call away gives me tremendous peace of mind.
