WALT'S HANDYMAN INC

Not good...............I wasted 2 weeks approx. waiting for his bid and would have probably waited indefinitely if I hadn't called him.

He came up right away. I'm still waiting for the bid in the mail. He told he would be very busy till July 4th. It was a one man operation and not a huge team. He came with his wife and she was very helpful. They answered all the questions that I had. He gave me a ballpark which seemed reasonable. He called me within a couple of days.

Overall the results look very nice. Walt took his time and made sure you couldn't see where there used to be a cut-out. They were very nice and were able to fit us in the day after we called.

I called Walt yesterday to replace two ceiling fixtures in my home. He quoted me a price of $80 which was below what I had paid last time to someone else who had a $95 charge just to show up. Walt and his wife arrived promptly at 11:00 AM and did the work. They were friendly and did a great job. One of the fixtures was a difficult install and they had everything needed to make adjustments in order to complete the installation. I would definitely use them again. They even hauled away the old fixtures for an additional small charge. I highly recommend Walt's Handyman Inc. to anyone who needs work done for them. UPDATE: I did use them again and again was ver pleased. This was another ceiling light installation and they were quick and efficient. No extra charge to get rid of the horrid ceiling fan for me either. I will be calling them again when I redo the kitchen lighting.

Just moved into new home. Had to re-wire for stereo and systems. Required relocating media center into another room. Hole patching/re-texturing in drywall as well as replacing removed sections of sheetrockl. Found on Angie's list, called and received immediate response. Very friendly and kept me informed on when he could come out for estimate and perform work. Excellent job, can't see where the missing sheetrock and holes were. Took longer than thought, but he did tell me he is a perfectionist and indeed is. Very little mess from work left behind, minimal dust. *Just wish they had removed shoes while in house, or asked. I had shoe covers by door for them. :-)

He did a great job. He did it quickly. I would definitely hire him again.

I called Walt based on Angie's list reviews. I needed the repair done as quickly as possible and he came out the next day. He and his wife arrived on time and were very efficient. The closet is at an angle in the hallway and not an easy place to work. I liked the fact that he came with the needed drywall. I had given him approximate measurements. I will definitely have him come back and do more work for me. I've already talked with him about other work to be done. I was comfortable with Walt and his wife being in my home.

I showed him a picture from the Internet, and he was able to do it more cheaply and with a much more high-quality product. even using very nice brass piano hinges. I am very happy with the result. His wife Tammy who works with him also made some great suggestions.

He is very knowledgeable and very nice.

Walt and Tammy were GREAT to work with, and you can believe all the nice things said about them on this website. The first guy I got (as a recommendation from a Realtor) was pathetic, out of his element, and I didn't go with him. Walt & Tammy are pros, are honest, and I will use them again if I have the opportunity. Having two of them working at the same time is a plus. They had to come out twice, because I had to special order some window parts they needed. Both times they were here when they said they would be. Oh, and they charged a very fair price for their work. Don't worry, you will be in good hands with these folks!

Walt is a true professional and exceptional handyman. His wife Tami is a great assistant, she has a masters touch in getting a nice caulk finish. We thought we would have to do some caulking around the pocket door frame, but Tami did that as part of the job. Certainly I'll call Walt's Handyman Service next time I need help with any repair around the house. Walt and Tami are awesome

It was a great experience from beginning to end. Walt and Tammie came in on Monday, got all the information they needed from me, and gave me an verbal estimate based on cost/hour. They returned the next morning with all the parts they needed to do the work. Even with my 3 dogs and me constantly pestering them, they managed to get everything done in one day. They were very efficient and very pleasant to spend the day with. They do good work and stand behind it as well. I needed a small adjustment on the toilet repair so I called them. They returned the next day and made the fix. I highly recommend them.

Walt called me at 8:30pm the night that I left him a voice mail to get his bid. He asked a few questions and gave me his estimate over the phone. He called me the following Monday to arrange a day/time to do the work. He called me the night before the work was done and clarified one point that I had left out, which was that our neighbor needed a new post installed. Walt picked up the post on the way to the job. I met Walter and his wife at our house and we walked though the work and we met with our neighbor and Walter suggested a change in the position of their post. They finished the work that day. Our neighbor asked me to write that she is very pleased. (She asked Walt to do a different job already.) We are very pleased too. They put the mailbox in plumb and made the height level with the other mailboxes and cleaned up everything when they left. We plan to use Walt's Handyman Inc again.

Walt arrived the day and time agreed to and looked at the project. He called back later with an estimate. Estimate was a little over my budget but I was able to negotiate a price that we both agreed to and we set a date to do the work. Walt arrived on time and did a very good job repairing old rotted boards. A tree had grown out and pushed one post out of line and Walt was able to straighten the post without replacing it. Overall he did a very fine job and cleaned up everything that needed to be picked up. I would not hesitate to use Walt again.

Walt and Tammy know what they are doing. You can rely on them to do what they say they will do and are very reasonably priced. You can't go wrong having these people in your home. They are the best.

No complaints, will use him again. Found them to be a lovely helpful couple, quite professional.

I wasn't there. My wife was on site (before our move to Bend). She reports he and his wife did great work. I have no specifics.

I'd gotten Walt's name off Angie's list. We got a prompt response when we asked him to come over and take a look at the work we wanted done and give some cost estimates. He spent several hours talking with us about jobs on our list and brainstorming ideas of how to accomplish them. We were put on his schedule about 2 weeks out (he's busy!) and he and his wife were here 6 times over the next 3 months, several times during which we needed time off to prepare for next jobs. We were able to talk to him and his wife throughout the project getting suggestions from them on possibilities. For example, they had some good ideas for things we might do to get add'l storage. Throughout the time they worked for us, we added jobs as we thought of them and even asked them to redo some of their fixes which had been done as we requested but then we wanted it done differently. They were extremely nice and took pride in their work. We have already started on a new list of jobs we'd like Walt to do at some time in the future. The work cost more than we had anticipated but it was worth it. And the fact that the price per hour includes two people made the work more efficiently done.

A car crashed into my mailbox on Sunday night. It broke a 4" square post in half and ripped the rest of the post out of the ground. On Monday afternoon, I called Walt. By noon on Tuesday, I had a new mailbox installed. My mailbox post is in a 5 ft deep ditch. So he and his wife, Tammy, had to get down there to dig a new hole for the post. They said they would arrive at 11 am, which they did. They had the job done before noon. I asked about some other work I would like done, got an estimate, liked it, and decided to use them again.

Walt and Tammy are VERY professional, meticulous and price competetive, and they show up on time. They responded quickly with a bid and followed up by doing the work thoroughly and on time. I would highly recommend these people. If you decide to use them, you will not be disappointed either in the quality of their work nor their prices. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. We plan to have them back within a few weeks to do some work on two other projects.

He is great and I got him off the list. He comes with a small crew and they are extremely nice people. They are local, reliable on time and self sufficient. They show up with a truck with everything you need in it and do what they say and they are very good. I know that their prices are really professional and it is not a bargain and you get what you pay for. They also back their work by showing if there are any changes or follow-up. They also showed up the corner of my house and I spent $1900 for the total.

Excellent experience. Walt said he would be here at 11:00 and showed up right at 11:00. The work took exactly one hour and was done perfectly. Afterwards, they cleaned up everything and made sure i was pleased with the work.

Took a few phonecalls to connect and get estimate, and had a few adjustments to schedule to get all work done. Ended up spending a bit more than expected originally, but we discussed options all the way along. Good to work with, and obviously well enough to continue working with him.

I emailed Walt a picture of a fireplace mantel that I really liked. He came over to my house to measure and give me an estimate of the time and cost to build it. I liked him and his wife very much, the cost was reasonable, so he agreed to do the work. Walt kept me informed every step of the way, even emailing me pictures of the mantel in various stages of construction! It's made of solid oak--all hand done--and finished beautifully. He did a fabulous job of installing it, and it looks magnificent.
