Description of Work: We had Walt come for a few small items while preparing our home for sale. Not much was needed because Walt and Tammy have been taking care of things for us as necessary over the years. Walt installed a sconce, touched up paint where he had caulked and flashed windows last year (we had given him the wrong color for the original touch up), installed some hooks in the laundry room and filled numerous holes where we had removed pictures. He even washed one of our windows while he was on the ladder. As always we were pleased. Buying a new home will be less stressful knowing that Walt will be available to make sure any overlooked maintenance is addressed efficiently and well.

Description of Work: We needed to take care of items on our inspection list to sell our home. This included tightening a loose stairway steel railing on our outside deck, grouting, touch up painting, etc. They have done numerous home projects for us over the years and we have always been pleased with their work. They can do so many different types of projects but do not do electrical work.

Description of Work: Walt and his wife did a lot of misc. fix-up work for me, such as replacing window hardware, getting all the windows to work easily, bracing up my back deck, some minor electrical work, some painting, etc. I'm writing this almost two years after the work was performed, but I can tell you they did an excellent job and were great to work with. I've moved out of state, but if I hadn't I would definitely use them again & recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.

Description of Work: Walt and Tammy did a very good job of prepping and painting the trim and base paint on the front part of our house. Some of the trim around the exterior patio doors were starting to get weatehr beaten and needed some TLC.

Description of Work: We called Walt to address some inspection items involved in the sale of our house. They ranged from installing carbon monoxide detectors, adjusting door jams and lengthening and tacking up the dishwasher drain hose to repairing some outside beams (fill and paint), delaminated siding repair and adding drywall to a drop down attic ladder.

Description of Work: Laundry list of projects included replacing weatherstripping on doors, door lock/deadbolt replacement, replacing closet florescent lighting with globe fixture, replacing kitchen towel rack, securing toilet paper holder fixtures, replacing sliding door guide and re-aligning doors, replacing water damaged baseboard, stabilizing/securing light sensors for overhead garage door operation.

Description of Work: I wanted what seemed like a relatively easy cosmetic upgrade to the master bath and a powder room that shares a wall with it. My goal was to remove wall size mirrors (9' x 5' in the master; 5'x5' in the powder room) and to replace the '80s light bars and the gold-toned fixtures with something more up to date. Walt estimated a day for the project. He and Tammy arrived as scheduled and removed the existing light bars and the covers for the outlets exactly in time for the scheduled arrival of the mirror company. Once the mirrors were gone, it was clear that much more work than we anticipated would be required to put everything back together. The primary problem was that the mirrors had been hiding poorly patched together sheetrock. In some large areas the sheetrock was missing altogether. In addition, while there were plenty of electrical outlets most were in the wrong places. Of the three vanity lights I wanted installed, only one had the wiring in the proper place. A freshening up of the rooms turned into near half remodels of the baths. In addition to putting in a full day on the scheduled day, Walt and Tammy returned on four other days, including some time on a Saturday. The wiring was routed to places that would be functional. New walls were created from scratch and textured. The walls and ceilings were painted. The outlets, lights, new faucet and towel bars all were installed, and the mirrors were hung. And I can't say enough how much I appreciate how clean they kept the area even as they were working. Tammy went above and beyond by cleaning up after the glass company left shards behind (in the process of removal the larger of the two mirrors shattered). Walt and Tammy were great in scheduling the time to finish the project quickly. (To any of their other customers who might have had their project schedules impacted I say thank you for your patience!) Walt also was quick to give me an update bid to keep me from worrying about the unanticipated cost of the project. He gave me a very fair price for the additional work that needed to be done, with my Angie's List discount as well. I am really pleased with the quality of Walt and Tammy's work and the transformation to the two rooms. I feel they treated the rooms as though they were their own and considered all of the little things that make a big aesthetic difference--centering, creating a sense of balance, leveling everything, chosing just the right color of grout to replace the gold trim that left with the mirror. I'm busy saving my pennies for my next Walt and Tammy project.

Description of Work: Walt's Handyman bought a new door for our guest bathroom, shaved it to size because the bathroom door is smaller than most doors, fitted it into the door jamb and painted it. They also painted some woodwork for us in the main bathroom. They came out about 3 months ago.

Description of Work: Walt repaired my oversized attic stairs. He removed broken stairs, reinforced others, and made the whole structure more stable. His work was exceptional. I definitely would use Walt again for home repairs.

Description of Work: 1. Repaired and re-screened crawl space vents 2. Repaired a hole (probably from a woodpecker) in my siding 3. Repaired and resurfaced a weathered and peeling wood door. 4. Replaced the deck on my shed, and added additional flooring supports beneath it.

Description of Work: Repaired hole is ceiling, re-textured and repainted damaged area. On a sperate project and mounted speakers in family room.

Description of Work: Walt's estimate was higher than others, but his knowledge was apparent when talking with him. He made some suggestions that worked well for the repairs needed. Walt and his wife work as a team and have a well stocked truck with all the tools he needs for most any repair. They removed the old molding around the front windows and installed new vinyl molding that will better suit our climate. In addition that day, he replaced the screens and some weather stripping around the back door. On the second day he replaced two sections of fencing complete with new posts. Removing the old posts took a couple of hours before he could build the new sections. Walt and his wife worked steadily and did not waste any time. All his work looks great!

Description of Work: We had them assemble a file cabinet from IKEA and hang shelves etc in the garage.

Description of Work: Walt and his wife opened up a section of wall in a downstairs closet, fixed a leaking dryer vent pipe, and patched the wall back up/textured.

Description of Work: Walt repaired and replaced some damaged foundation vents.
